In 2005, Warner Brothers unleashed CONSTANTINE, a big-budget adaptation of the DC Comics classic John Constantine, Hellblazer. The dark fantasy featured Keanu Reeves right after his Matrix tenure, Rachel Weisz, and Shia LaBeouf. Screenwriter Frank Cappello wrote the film over several years and under multiple directors.

A follow-up to the genre cult classic has been in development for nearly twenty years and was even officially announced by Deadline in 2022. The studio was so intent on releasing Romero's film that it was even included on official release calendars. With so much source material and new ideas, Romero planned on splitting the script into two halves. The first half was titled WAR OF THE WORLDS: THE NIGHT THEY CAME.

In 1998, Capcom hired the grandfather of zombie cinema to adapt RESIDENT EVIL, their blockbuster video game series, into a feature film. Romero had his assistant record himself playing the games and would then study the footage, crafting a script that held to the heart of the first game in the iconic survival horror series.

Ever wonder what really happened to the murderous maniac Angela Baker? Well, same. This episode tackles the semi-completed sequel 'Sleepaway Camp 4: The Survivor'.

With only 30 minutes of footage shot, Double Helix Rainboy Films went bankrupt in the middle of production of this bonkers sequel to the 'Sleepaway Camp' films. 

20 years later, a group of fans found the footage and pieced together the scraps into the strangest horror film we've yet to cover.

A big-budget adaptation of Stephen King's 'SALEM'S LOT was announced back in 2019 with ANNABELLE COMES HOMES director Gary Dauberman attached. The movie went into production and was ready for release until constant delays removed the film from the Warner Brothers calendar indefinitely. For years, fans have been fantasizing about what a television adaptation of Dark Castle's 2001 horror epic Thirteen Ghosts might look like. And at long last, this dream might just be on the fast track to becoming a reality.

Patrick Mediate (Primordial Pictures), Ashley Robinson (co-producer, Fear the Walking Dead), and Aaron McLane (SFX Supervisor, Fear the Walking Dead) are teaming up to develop a fascinating and downright necessary TV version of Thirteen Ghosts. Now, this creative trio joins host Josh Korngut for a new episode of Development Hell to discuss their pitch and unpack what it will actually take to get this show made.

The filmmakers also recently shared an exclusive update with Dread Central announcing their partnership with Dark Castle Entertainment to develop and pitch a Thirteen Ghosts television series to Sony Pictures Television. While nothing has been officially greenlit yet, we’re still psyched at the idea of this new series. You can take a peek at their pitch materials and more over on Dread Central.

We sat down with the director and writer of the CHILDREN OF THE CORN (2023) to unearth the latest version of the Stephen King short story. Discover what it took to create a film in the middle of the pandemic and why it was delayed nearly three years.

In the film, possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won't go along with the plan is the town's only hope of survival.

CHILDREN OF THE CORN is available to stream as of today (March 21st) via Shudder. The VOD release is on March 21st, while the DVD and Blu-ray release lands on May 9th.
