About Bill Adams:
Bill currently designed, built, owns and operates Fireside Surf, a Citwave surf facility surrounded by great food and beverage. Bill has also built, owned, and or operated more iFLY facilities than anyone in the World. In 2009, Bill designed, built, co-owned and operated iFLY Seattle Indoor Skydiving, one of the top performing wind tunnels in the world. In 2013, he realized the opportunity of the iFLY Indoor Skydiving business and sold his facility to the parent company in exchange for stock in the parent company. Bill’s background in experiential retail directly translates to indoor surfing.
He then joined iFLY corporate, developing property and building iFLY Facilities. From 2013 to 2018, he built 12 iFLY facilities on the West coast as well as three in Chicago, and one in Scottsdale AZ. In 2018, Bill’s corporate stock was purchased and in March 2018 he began designing, building and operating iFLY facilities as a franchisee. Bill most recently sold his interest in iFLY El Paso, after building, and operating that facility in 2018 through 2019.
Before iFLY, Bill was COO at Rotorway International, the oldest and largest manufacturer of experimental helicopters in the world. Before Rotorway, Bill ran the operations for PB Development, which built, owned and managed commercial properties including hotels, restaurants, indoor water parks and full-service spas.
Bill honed his management and operational acumen while serving in the Special Forces, The Green Berets, developing and managing large multi-national operations in a zero-defect environment. Bill is a surfer, skydiver and pilot who enjoys these activities with his wife, Lysa, and their two children.
