Cryptid creatures, Strange Beings, Beasts and all manner of ‘Unknown Things’ are sometimes seen along our empty roadsides and dark forests here in the UK. Often the person who witnesses them struggles to understand exactly what they are seeing. The words used to explain them are usually ‘humanoid’ or ‘Hulking’ figures and their posture is described as ‘hunched over’ or ‘it had a humpback posture. In a couple of cases the witnesses to these Creatures have questioned if they were ‘Ailing or Old’ due to their strange ‘head on chest’ stance. It's one of the many matching descriptions I have come to know over the years.

These ‘Hulking’ Creatures are seen crossing an area from one side to another, especially our roads here in the UK. A really recent case has enabled me to put a number of these reports together so we can see the similarities as each witness explains what happened to them and what their particular creature looked like.

Phil: I thought there was someone up to no good hiding in the woods and at this point the dog is back up and away from where he is looking. I took a few more paces and the dog spun round to look in the area we had just come from and I couldn't see anything. It was completely black. I couldn't see the trees, no bushes or the white path. It was pitch black and you couldn't see into it. As if someone had dropped a sack cloth in front of my face. It really unnerved me and I thought WTF is going on?? I turned for home and as I did I heard something skid on the path behind me in the blackness. I was having none of it so I looked around and I couldn't see anyone. I unleashed the dog and got his lead and heavy chain in one hand and the small axe in the other. Hearing that skid and the weight in it I thought it was going to be a huge fella or a couple of them. As I let the dog off to help he spins round and bolts for home. This is not how he would normally behave. That scared me even more. He left me standing there, alone in the darkness.So I grabbed and spun the lead in the direction of the darkness and I hit nothing, the chain hit my leg. I just started backing up, looking the way I had come and hoping I could make it back into one of the patches of light left by the moon. I thought to myself, if I did a few backwards paces and then just suddenly spin and run I would catch them out and I would make it into the light. As I spun I heard "THUD."

What I saw had unusually large oval-shaped eyes, it had its face-flat against the ground. I even recognised the oddball behaviour of the animal. When the witness says; 'the look in the eyes confirmed this,' is she perhaps referring to some kind of clear emotive expression? Because the animal that I saw was calm it never panicked or bolted, it scowled at me like Clint Eastwood, then it just lay back down in the darkness. When it did that, it was like a reptile submerging beneath water.

That sentence is enough to fill you with chills, the very thought of something slinking down into the darkness just like the oldest predator on our planet. There are a lot of dark places in the world for a creature like this to hide.

At the time my cousin began to wake up and he rolled off the couch still half asleep and shuffled towards the bathroom when he noticed me standing rigid in front of the glass door closest to the kitchen. He opened his mouth to say something when he noticed the dark figure standing in our door. The creature looked at him and growled, my eyes flicked between the two before I moved closer to the kitchen door. The creature looked back at me, noticing my movement. My cousin, frozen in place, was horrified at what was in front of him. I grabbed the kitchen door handle and clicked the lock open.

And then I realised there wasn't one individual creature, there was more than one. I don't know what they were, they were absolutely huge. I would say they were as big as bears in their bodies, but they were moving down on four legs as they were running from right to left. They ran from the bushes at one side, across the field on the horizon. But they weren't bears, clearly, nor were they cows or deer. Their gait was so weird, they just didn't run like you expect an animal on four legs to run. We had no idea what they were, but this feeling of dread came over us both. Sarah felt it more and she explained she could only sense a canine energy. So I was keeping calm, trying to think rationally. But she took photos and a video, which don't do justice to the size those things were. Plus the light made it difficult to record. Whatever they were we couldn't tell and they would run then stop and try to hide from us and they would run again.

Bigfoot 'spotted' on Brit beach as terrified tourists report seeing '15ft-tall beast' -Shocked British tourists have witnessed a huge beast built “like Arnold Schwarzenegger '' when taking in the sunshine while on holiday in Norfolk, with some suspecting it could be Bigfoot. Visitors have reported seeing a “massive beast” on Holkham Beach over the past week. One sunseeker said he saw a 15 ft-tall creature. And another man said he saw a strange set of footprints.

An excerpt from tonight's episode -After a couple hours one officer broke the silence with a bloodcurdling scream. His partner snapped his head around to see the torso of a man pressed against the window. The officer jumped out of the car to apprehend what he thought was a joker. But when he came around the front of the car, the figure vanished. It was nowhere to be seen. The two officers were suddenly overcome with an intense feeling of dread and frightening sounds began to fill the once quiet night.

The police crew were completely shaken up and confused by what they had experienced. They began to slowly drive off when something started banging and hammering down extremely hard on the outside of the car. When the battering eventually stopped, the officers inspected the car and found there to be no damage whatsoever. They also did not see anyone present throughout this event, there was no explanation for the cause of the banging.

Excerpt from one of the many cases featured in tonight's podcast - “From 2009-2013 I acted as curator for the special project that involved the transfer of 210 surviving files from the MoD’s archives into the public domain. The striking images in UFO Drawings from The National Archives were sourced from these and an older collection of UFO files, some dating back to the Second World War, that have been opened to public inspection under the 30 year rule.

Some of the most remarkable drawings in the book were produced by schoolchildren. For example one lunchtime in October, 1977, ten Cheshire youngsters, aged seven to 11 years, saw an elliptical UFO hovering in trees beside the playground of Upton Primary School in Macclesfield, before it rose into the sky and vanished.

Their teacher, Mrs Hindmarsh, ushered the children inside and asked to draw what they had seen, separating them to ensure that no copying took place. The youngsters used pencils and coloured crayons to produce the images that ended up in a MoD file.Their drawings are so clear and striking that I selected them as one the highlights of the book. In this case their teacher passed the dossier to Cheshire Police and the MoD’s UFO desk. In his covering letter the police officer said there was ‘a remarkable similarity in these sketches with regard to the UFO and its location between two trees’.

But this was just one example from a series of sightings made from schools during 1977. Another file contains drawings and letters sent to the MoD by youngsters and their teacher from North Wales earlier in the year.

Excerpt from one of the many cases featured in tonight's podcast" - am assuming “It” couldn't see us from as we were shielded by the blinding light. I've never seen anything like “It” before. “Its” face was just like a dog but “It” looked much more fierce than any domestic dog and “ Its” features were very strong and defined. This “Creature” was covered in thick black hair from head to toe. My step Dad and I just stood there in shock. “It” moved away from the pond and stood up on “its” back legs and leapt over the tall garden hedge. This hedge was about 10 ft tall and “It” had no trouble clearing it. Then “It” was gone. My step dad turned off the light and told me to get to bed. The next morning he told me that we were never to discuss what we had seen again. Whenever I tried to mention the event and what we saw he just denied it all as if it never happened. But that was not the only time I think I came very close to “It”

Mrs. Joyce A. Russell called Bill Mason with the following information. “Aged 82 years old at the time, she claimed that in the year 1927 or 1928 while living on a farm in the area of Marchand Manitoba, 8 to 10 miles east of town, her father shot and killed a strange creature. She said that it was about 5 1/2 feet tall, with a "fat" belly and long arms. It was covered in long,"oily" hair. ( She said she remembered how it, the hair, felt !) Its eyes were all black, with no white showing which she found odd. She said that she remembered this creature hanging around the farm for a long time that summer, and her father was afraid for the family cow, so he finally shot the creature.

She remembered that her two brothers and her father went and buried the creature in the bush behind the farm in the area they buried trash etc. She tagged along being young

Natalia: “I often take the food down to the river, I go two or three times a week just walking in the forest on the edge of the swamp and I leave Leshunya a plastic bag with the food inside. I sit and wait for him and then he comes, he takes the contents of the bag, eats it closely, and then when the package is empty he leaves me. I used the same pack of sweets several times so now I know his tooth is sweet. He loves gingerbread, caramel, and chocolate. If I leave a taste his mate likes, he takes them to his mate Leshiha. In the summer I left him food directly on the gifting stone. I left the same gingerbread and candy without closing the tin to see if mice or small creatures were eating them and not my friend. At first I would hide them in nooks or put stones on top of them, the stones would be placed to the side with the packets underneath them. No bird, no mouse is doing this, no one touches the food other than Leshunya. And once we had to go to another place to give gifts. All the food that I left him at the same time was untouched, even cakes and a meat pie, which he loves. Someone apparently alerted him or warned him maybe this food was not safe to eat? I have noticed a huge black crow when I have brought food in the past and left some for the crow too. But he did not eat it. He took the bread and in his beak and flew towards Leshunya’s lair. I think they work together with the crow.

“The witness who was around 15/16 at the time of his sighting was hunting in fields in the Penn Area of Wolverhampton with his friend. He was in his usual position within the field and had his rabbit gun and a torch to light up the field. As he was scanning the light across the area looking for movement or eyeshine, the torch picked up a crouching human type figure. The figure was much bigger than an average human and in his own words "it was huge in height and width" his friend promptly ran off leaving the witness alone, so he followed suit and legged it also.

This case is one I have not mentioned before on the channel, as it was a private case concerning a private individual.

The lady suffered from knocking and banging on the walls of her home, and had confided with her neighbours and they too were experiencing some strange stuff at home. At first she encouraged the interaction and would gift and leave food out for them, but sooner or later that was not enough, or their agenda changed. The interaction became very negative after the homeowner took a photograph of one of the figures.

Needless to say it was not too long before I was contacted by a chap who knew nothing of the case, as he too had a strange experience next to the River and the factory about 500 yards from the original witnesses flat sits.

A Third Human Foot Is Found In Bath 6/8/2016 - The Independent newspaper released an article stating Police are 'keeping an open mind' as to whether the foot found on 6/8/2016 is linked to two previous severed foot discoveries in February and July of that year, the earlier feet were found separately but the police declared that the finds were not suspicious. The severed human foot was found in a garden of a house in Bath, the third of its kind to be discovered in the area that year.

The body part was found in Cranwells Park in the north west of the historic city, according to Avon and Somerset Police, who have sent it for forensic analysis. Police say they are keeping an "open mind" as to whether a foot found in a garden is linked to two previous discoveries nearby. All three feet were found within a few hundred yards of each other. The first foot was discovered under a bush by a dog walker in Weston Park East in February - and pathologists were stumped at its lack of DNA.

I was getting the washing in from the garden. I remember it was summer and it was just after 10pm so it was getting dark out. My German Shepherd dog named Cody was looking at something outside of our garden. I couldn't see anything or make anything out. But then I heard a loud growl, as though something was standing right next to my ear and my brother said "you f###ing heard that right?" and I explained that I did and that it was right close to my ear. So we got our other brother to come outside with us because it terrified us.

I had a lovely time at first. I sat in a glade listening to the birds sing and the breeze moving through the leaves. It was a really relaxing time until I saw it. I was just sitting there chilling, remembering all the times I had played there for hours as a child. We used to make dens and rope swings and spend all day out there only coming home for tea. Those were some of my happiest memories. Sadly that is no more.

As I was sitting there I saw a movement within the shrubbery and I realised what I was looking at and it was terrifying. I don't know what to call it, It had a man's body only hairier. It had a dog-like face, with amber orange eyes. It had pointed ears and I remember the teeth clearly. I don't know if that creature was smiling or growling as the face was a grimace and you could see pointed canine teeth. Now when I think about it, some features are not clear as I concentrated on the width of the shoulders, the power of this thing and the face of the creature. He was muscled and big and looked far more stronger than me. It just stood there and looked at me.

Miss St Denis decided to pack her things and made her way out of the station. Glancing back, she was horrified to see that the man was now following her. She quickened her pace and started to whistle in order to appear unconcerned. It was now twilight and the path had taken her to a remote spot surrounded by cliffs and disused quarries.

Realising that a cry for help would go unheard she decided to confront her stalker. She spun round and shouted ‘What do you want? How dare you?’ He didn’t respond. As he drew nearer she was now able to see him clearly as the last rays of sunlight fell on the path. He was not a man after all. The ‘Thing’ appeared to be covered in grey hair and, although human in form, had a wolf’s head. It sprang forward with a look of ferocity on its face. The terrified woman quickly grabbed a torch from her pocket and shone it at the beast.

The Thing shrank back, its paws trying to hide the light from its face. It then faded away leaving her alone in the darkness.” The “shaken but unhurt” Miss St Denis asked locals for an explanation. They had no real explanation for her, only the rumours of missing cattle and a collection of bones, some human and some animal, that had been discovered in a slate quarry near to where the wolf-man had vanished. Nearby residents shun the area after dusk as it had a “bad reputation”.

I was outside playing and I was swinging. It was while I was swinging that I saw a strange creature. It is hard to describe what this creature looked like but it had from what I could see a wolf's body, it was standing upright just like a man would and its legs were bent back. It was about 8 feet tall. It peeked around the corner of my lake house so I only saw half of its body but I got a good look at his face and it claws if you wanna call them that.

It had tall pointed ears on top of its head and the colour of the thing was black and brown and it had yellow eyes and we stared at each other for what seemed like 2 minutes and he was about 10 yards away from at the most.

One night Andrew was driving down Johnson Road which borders Silver Creek Metro Park, when he saw something that was anything but routine. Approximately 50 yards from the intersection with Medina Line Road, he stopped his car when two deer raced across the road heading south.

What caught his attention was not the deer more what they were running from. Andrew explained “I would place those creatures chasing the deer somewhere between 6’6” and 7′ tall. They chased the two deer (which were both smaller, by the way) out across the street and into the woods. They ran in formation, one in front, two behind, kind of next to each other.

They were roughly 30-40 yards behind the deer. They were bipedal, very muscular, and fast. Lightning fast. It all happened in just a few seconds. I couldn’t describe any features, unfortunately; I’m assuming it was either a new moon or cloudy because it was very dark, but they were definitely a dark colour, maybe chocolate-brown or a black?”

Assuming the lights to be from a car, Barton drove toward them in order to intercept any unauthorised trespassers. The lights vanished when he arrived at the site where he had last seen them, but now he found his vehicle mired in the soft desert sand. Walking approximately two miles back to base, the sergeant intercepted a patrol and they radioed for a tow truck. When the truck arrived and everyone returned to the Sergeant’s vehicle, they found 3-toed tracks measuring 14 inches long with what appeared to be a clawed digit at the heel. The wind was blowing soft sand and the footprints were filling in rapidly, making any precise identifications difficult. But whatever "it" was that left the tracks had completely circled the truck as if inspecting it and then walked off on two legs into the desert.

We would regularly stop to take heed of our surroundings. Crouched, we attempted to tune into the immediate environment, allowing the surroundings to occupy our senses so we could better filter what was going on around us. I was not the first to see it; that honour goes to my then-friend, who I shall not name as it is not my place to recant on his behalf. I know that he reached back with his arm without shifting his gaze from what he had seen and grabbed my arm. I looked where his head was fixated and saw it for the first time. It appeared crouched, almost as if it were mimicking our actions, no more than 20 or so metres from us. Although in that moment, I was unclear as to what I was looking at, what I can say was that it was large, to my eyes and mind, it was huge, black in colour, and not stationary, as I could see it moving ever so slightly from side to side.With all of us now firmly transfixed, it raised what I believe to be its head. The singular sizeable black mass now had a head, with two large triangular-shaped ears set at the top of the head. This was not a dog or one of the big cats, and its next action told me my assertions were not wrong. With a distinct, slow deliberateness, it stood up. Its arms seemed disproportionate in length, but because of the foliage between us, I was unable to see it's hands, nor could I see clearly defined features on its head other than the ears, and it stood roughly 7-8 feet tall and was broad.We ran...

Witness Report: "As a child I had a really strange experience that I have never understood. I was walking to my gran’s home, I thought about this today actually, that's why I contacted you. I was about six year old at the time. I remember leaving mum's house to walk up a straight road. It was around 5.30pm. I think it was winter as it was dark, there were some cars on the side of the road that were parked up but in the distance, just as the road bends around I looked up and saw a huge figure standing up suddenly from behind this gate."

When I was around 19 I was on a date with a lad that I was seeing and we went to the pub that has the little phone box next to it. It was called the Crime View at the time. Now it's an Italian restaurant. If I remember correctly I had maybe half a larger and we had been playing pool. We left the pub and walked a little ways down the road from the pub. We are both standing there just chatting on the pavement close to the trees.
From nowhere came this mighty 'roar'. I don't know how to describe it, it wasn't a growl or a roar, more a mixture of the two. It was nothing that myself or the lad recognised. It wasn't your usual wildlife, it wasn't a fox or a deer or anything like that. The 'roar' was coming from a place on level with us, but the land has a steep embankment here. So whatever growled was either really, really tall or it was in one of the trees close to us. I can't describe just how deep this roar was. It was like a lion's roar, a very deep baritone roar.

The witness was walking in the area between the Ashfield and the old 'Dog Entry' just off Sandy Lane. He was huddled up against the cold and was lighting his cigar when he saw something that he can still remember to this day. He stated he could not put a name to what he saw but that it was dark, hairy and crouched over. As the witness backed off from the almost 'doglike' thing it growled at him, he described the eyes as yellowish and really scary and he made off before the animal approached him further.

He has owned dogs all his life, even racing and training greyhounds for over two decades. He said "this was no dog, I have never seen anything like this thing before or since. The way it growled and the size of it was just unreal, I can still see it in my mind to this day. It was the same colour as a dark Alsatian Dog, but much bulkier.

Tonight we look at some reports from the Emerald Isle. I will share a number of cases where the creatures seen are described as Bigfoot-like creatures, or the Wildman of Eire, (Ayra). The Werewolves of Ossory are one legend that was recorded in Mediaeval Eiran, English and Norse sources. I also have a number of reports of the little folk, the Fae as I would call them, in Eire they are called Brag or Tankerabogus (tanker a bogus). Shape shifting beings that can bring harm or good luck depending on their agenda and our interactions with them. The names change with the region and of course throughout time. Like the Woodwose of England, who is now called the British Bigfoot.

This happened in the woods just to the south east of the village where I live. The other day I was walking my dog when I came upon a clearing with a number of hut-like structures but I didn’t have my phone to take pictures of them. Everything was fine on the walk until I set off on the way out. I heard a very clear wood knock coming from deeper in (though not from where the structures were). Some minutes later I heard a weird mumbling coming from the same area that freaked me out enough that I got the hell out of there and haven’t been back with the dog since.

This week we are looking at Cryptid reports that also take place on Military of Defence land. “We were doing exercises on Salisbury Plain. I was a commander in the turret of our tank, and we were advancing to contact our warriors. I was scanning the landscape when I turned to my 5 o’clock and looked right at a large, Ape-like figure. It looked scared because of the noise from the engines and tanks moving at speed all around.”

“If they hadn't moved we would never have seen them. They walked from behind the brush and were heading it looked like to the next clump of trees. It felt like they were in our line of sight for a good minute or so before they moved behind another bush in the field and we couldn't see them again after they reached the tree cover.”

Reports have been made of deer found in Bempton with their ears removed but no other explanation as to their death, with "no blood" found at the scene. It is also believed sheep have been found with some of their internal organs removed with expert butchery skills, but again with no blood found. In 2019 Mark Vernon, who has been investigating the paranormal for decades, said: “Farmers have been losing a lot of animals recently, some with their organs and precise patches of skin removed. Whatever is getting these animals is hitting them with such speed some of their internal organs have imploded,”

Some of the questions I am often asked are. How many types of Dogmen are there? What are the 4 types of Sasquatch and what species are they? Recently I was lucky enough to find a theory I did not know or even understand. I was presented with it by a long term listener, who does know his stuff when it comes to Cryptids and he pointed me in a direction I have not been before.

My friend was with her mother at the sauna, cleaning the sauna or washing rugs & carpets with her. I can't remember which one it was. Her mother noticed that she had forgotten a bucket indoors and asked my friend to go fetch it from the house. My friend went through the grass field, which was behind the house. When she got to the corner of the house, she saw what she called “A Werewolf” and it was just standing there in the front yard. The front yard was a big open space with only a few trees there, so she was able to see it clearly. It was a Wolf but it was standing on its hind legs like a human, it was grey in colour, with a human looking body like a man. Just like you would imagine a Werewolf to look like.

Tonight you will hear from a witness who contacted me via youtube and email who had an unforgettable experience in the Forest Of Dean. A place that is as old as time, and still has that ancient feel about it. Wild ponies still live there, and the herds of cows and sheep also room free in the forest. Protected by the crown since 1090, the land here is a haven for more than just the wildlife.

We start the interview as our witness explains what happened to him one night when he was camping out with friends in the Forest. You could even say he had a visit with the Oak King.

We were both looking over our left shoulder at this road and wondering if we should go down it and if the lowered car would make it ok. I noticed a light at the bottom of the road and assumed it was a house so we decided not to go onto private property and we would go to look for somewhere else. As we went to set off driving I flicked the high beams back on and as the beam pattern raised, we saw an old barn type building at the side of the road just behind a bit of greenery maybe 20 metres out In front of us. Standing in the doorway was what we can only describe as a really tall person wearing a suit. You could see the outline of the white shirt and a bit of the blazer but it had no face.

Having found the door locked I went round the front of the caravan where there was a big bay window. I pressed my face against the glass just to check that they definitely were not in. I couldn’t see them but I saw something strange. As I looked in through the window I saw it! I say it! as I don't really know how to describe it! It was standing next to the gas fire that we had on the right hand side of the caravan as I was looking in. It was the stereotypical looking ghost dog, it had a black/grey out line (if that makes sense to you) it was a small terrier type dog like a Yorkshire terrier. I locked eyes with it and we just seemed to stare at each other for what seemed like 5 minutes but in reality was probably only 5 seconds. What happened next was the weirdest part of all and it still haunts me to this day!

After the 5 seconds we locked eyes it was instantly at the window, it was right in my face barking at me aggressively. There were two things that scared me the most about all this was the ghost dog just appeared at the window. It didn't run or jump up, it just transported itself from the side of the fire to the window. It was there in my face as if by teleportation and to make things even stranger, it was barking in my face but there was no sound coming from it at all. The window was single pain glass so very thin glass , not sound proof at all.

Around 18/20 years ago I was walking down an Old Cart Track with my two Dogs nearing a bend in the track that you can't see around because of the way the trees are situated. It was a Beautiful Sunny day around 10am. I was deep in thought walking along looking at the ground, the Dogs were just a bit ahead and were just sniffing around. The first I knew something was wrong was when the Dogs ran back to me and snuck in behind me. I looked up as a Creature (I now know as Dogman) came around the bend doing the same as me. He was wandering along minding his own business. He was down on all four feet when I first saw him. But as he saw me he stood up on his two feet like a man. He spun around and ran off like a man would, upright on two feet! My friend, by the way, is a big fellow, he is 6ft 4, but this thing was way taller than him. Also he was a hard case and no one messed with him but this thing petrified him, he was white and shaking. I've tried to speak to him about it a couple of times over the years but he just shuts me down, says that as far as he's concerned it didn't happen as things like that don't exist.

The whole experience really scared me, and to be quite honest, I wouldn’t dare go down there at night by myself at all. Just thinking of it makes me a bit “on edge” and my body reacts to the fear of that night, even after all these years.
