Host Brandon Clements welcomes Michael "Mikey Shoes" Shuman to Dead Dialect Podcast. Mikey is the longtime bassist for one our favorite bands on the face of the planet, Queens of the Stone Age. This year he embarked as a solo artist under the moniker GLU. We sat down with Mikey during his recent tour with Phantogram and talked the new path with GLU, what's in store for Queens, and our favorite trash tv shows (Survivor and Vanderpump). In our first ever in-studio video podcast, we welcome back Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis. A Houston based MMA fighter, Derrick is a main player in the UFC's heavyweight division, sitting at #6, on a six streak tear, and a stones throw away for fighting for a championship belt. He headlines his own fight card against Mark Hunt in New Zealand on June 11th 2017.

TJ Miller is a stand-up comedian and actor, notable for his roles as Erlich Bachman in Silicon Valley, Weasel in Deadpool, and apparently even the Mucinex booger thing. Recorded right before his set at The Secret Group in Houston Texas, TJ discusses things his rapid ascent to A-list status, favorite Bachman lines, and his mancing looking but super friendly bodyguard.

Scott Sturgeon and Jesse Sendejas are two musicians who front Leftöver Crack and Days n Daze respectively. Popularly known by his stage name "Stza", Scott Sturgeon gained a worldwide following by being the front man not only to LÖC, but also to Choking Victim and Star Fucking Hipsters, three of the most prolific and notorious ska-punk acts to emerge in the last two decades. Days N Daze is a folk-punk band that borrows elements from hardcore and crust music who after spending some time as one of the flagship bands in Houston's punk scene, is gaining nationwide attention and rising to prominence.

It's the second coming of the powerful Timothy Russell, aka Guilla, to the podcast. One of Houston's best and brightest rap artists on the rise, Guilla is on the warpath to greatness, tirelessly moving one project to the next and focused on showcasing every aspect of his craft. With plans to release a new full length in early 2017, folks can tie themselves up in the meantime with his freshly dropped mixtape, Rap, Trap, & Drums - Vol. II.
