On this weekās Cut to the Race, James is in the hostās seat and is joined by Abby and Hannah to discuss all things Miami.
The Miami Grand Prix weekend was a great weekend that saw lots of on-track across both F1 and F1 Academy. The panel begin by diving into Free Practice 1, which saw a red flag, and then Sprint Qualifying, touching on some surprise SQ3 appearances.
The trio move on to the Sprint, debating key topics such as Kevin Magnussenās controversial driving style when battling Lewis Hamilton. After the Sprint came Grand Prix Qualifying, and the panel talk about the underwhelming performance of some drivers before sharing their National Anthem Reviews, which get some mixed opinions.
They then chat about the Grand Prix that saw Lando Norris take his first-ever race win. The trio chat about Lando Norrisā performance, Max Verstappenās bizarre incident, the Safety Car and also Carlos Sainzās frustrations before sharing their Driverās of the Day.

Round 21 - The F1 SĆ£o Paulo Grand Prix Review 2022

This week on the Cut to the Race podcast, HostĀ OliĀ is joined by James M, Abby and Sam as the quartet dissect the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, held at the legendary Interlagos in Brazil + Oli plays quizmaster again as he tests the knowledge of the group. Will the trio fare as well as in previous weeks, or will they come up short this time?
Arguably the race weekend of the season, each meaningful session provided action and surprises. From first-time pole-sitters to first time winners, there is simply no predicting what Interlagos might offer.
Together, the panel discuss those highlights and major talking points. The action and subsequent surprises were helped with a sizeable side of drama, which will no doubt dominate headlines over the coming days and weeks.
The third and final sprint weekend of the 2022 season, the festivities in Brazil were the best advert for the format that F1 has seen thus far.
First, it produced the qualifying session of the year and perhaps the most popular pole position in recent memory. Changeable weather conditions caused chaos and confusion at Ferrari, George Russell set up his weekend perfectly by accident, and Haas acted quickly when it mattered most.

Then, tensions ran high between teammates at both Alpine and Aston Martin in the sprint, with penalties applied to guilty parties. Verstappen fell back whilst Hamilton surged through, and there was no shortage of quality wheel-to-wheel racing, and there was a small sign of things to come at Red Bull.

The grand prix saw safety cars, diverging strategies and the Mercedes duo confirming their apparent renaissance. There was action throughout and drama aplenty. Verstappen and Hamilton came to blows again, Alpine grabbed the initiative in their battle with McLaren and fractures are starting to show at Red Bull. But the question is, how serious could the implications be?

Online abuse is sadly a topic of the paddock after an FIA official has been a victim of targeted abuse, which has prompted the FIA President to release a statement and share the FIAās actions to combat it. F1 arrives in Las Vegas
Last weekend F1 hosted the Fan Fest in Las Vegas for next years inaugural race on the strip, with tickets already sold out. The quartet discuss the event, the prices of the tickets and the spectacle of Las Vegas as a whole.
Sprint weekend format Haas to change
This weekend is the third and final sprint race of the season and Max Verstappen has shared his views on Sprint races and why he thinks theyāre unnecessary. The Weekend's News + Practice, Quali Highlights - The quartet discuss the three big pieces of news that broke this weekend, including the passing of Red Bullās co-founder, the negotiations Red Bull and the FIA are having over the consequences of the budget cap breach and Logan Sargeantās career progression. They then touch on the practice sessions, commenting on the rookies in FP1 and who looked good before Qualifying. The quartet then talk about Sainzās pole position and the highlights from Qualifying.
We Try Commentary and mess with driver's names - Our very own commentator James had a go at Croftyās job for lap 1, giving his own incredible commentary with a cool catchphrase to go with it. Should F1 implement 'information' laps?
After the delays in Singapore and Japan, the chairman of the Grand Prix Drivers Association Alex Wurz suggested that F1 implement information laps. Cars will run out on the track 10 minutes before to give feedback on the track conditions and see how it is best to proceed. This comes after Lewis Hamiltonās comments who told his team that he can give better feedback if he is out on track for one minute rather than watching from a TV.
