This week Reese isn't with us, so I've drafted Dave as co-host and Iach joins us to talk about Cowboy Bebop in our first non-video game episode. I wanted to give an anime episode a try so it seemed only natural to talk about the soundtrack that first got me into listening to anime music so, 3, 2, 1 Let's Jam!

This week we're joined by Gary from Duckfeed.tv to talk about the classic Phantasy Star games. We've previously covered PSO so it was great to go back and listen to the classic soundtracks, some really good Master System and Mega Drive tunes here!
This week is a big one. By far our longest episode yet and we're talking about Video Game House Bands. It's fairly broad topic but generally these are bands formed in part from members of the sound teams for various companies, some are more official than others and this playlist is anything but comprehensive as far as these bands go, but it's already pushing the length as-is. Thanks again to Roar for joining us on this one.

Back again with another mini episode where we talk about Planet DOB. A weird little adventure game that was tied to the release of an absolutely excellent album that mixes trip-hop, drum and bass and chamber pop.

This week Alton returns and we talk about some games that are a bit of a mixed bag, except for the music which is fantastic for both. Things get a little goofy on this one so don't worry if you, like me, don't know anything about these games!

This week, that Zed you like is back in style as we discuss Deadly Premontion! It's been genuinely one of my favourite episodes to record and we talk a lot about our feelings on David Lynch, the joy of Trash Art, why embracing plagiarism is good actually and some other stuff.

This week we're joined by previous guests Nate and Josh to talk about Xenoblade Chronicles 2. All of the Xeno games have extremely dope soundtracks and the Switch debut for the series is no exception. We get a little goofy on this one but that's the vibe with this game anyway.
00:00:00 Yasunori Mitsuda - Xenoblade II - Where It All Began - [Xenoblade 2: Original Soundtrack]
067 - Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater w/Manuclearbomb
Sunday, March 2, 2025 • Duration 02:12:33
This week we're joined by Manu of various podcasts but most importantly Podcast Sans Frontieres to talk about Metal Gear Solid 3 - Snake Eater. The series has always had one foot in the cinematic and the soundtrack for 3 is no exception, drawing from Bond themes and Henry Mancini while still keeping the signature techno-thriller sound from the previous games.
Just back with another mini episode. I'm gonna try to do one of these every 2 months this year to see how it goes. I'd love to justify doing more episodes a year and I thought that Patreon had stretch goal type things but I guess they don't anymore, but I'm not gonna pimp the Patreon too much though it's definitely a factor in how much I'm likely to do more. I'm not interested in gating episodes behind a paywall but if you like the show at least consider throwing us a couple of dollars a month and I'd be able to justify doing more episodes like this on a more regular schedule. A Reminder also that the Patreon feed does have bonus episodes for free that aren't on the main feed, I'm only siloing those off because Spotify is funny about episodes that are more music than discussion.
