Getting Started:
TikTok as a Gateway: TikTok is currently the most reliable platform for gaining entry into AIP.
Avoid Common Pitfalls:
Don’t mention Amazon directly in videos to avoid rejection.
You'll see that you'll need to upload 3 videos and that there's still a lock for on-site placement.
Once you upload the videos and they are approved, then you'll receive a welcome message and the lock will disappear.
Remember, if you get rejected, it may not be the videos. It could be your social media account.

Jim Ed and Andrew review their Amazon Influencer sales numbers. Jim Ed is seeing an upward trajectory recently.
They discuss expanding to Amazon Influencer in Canada to repurpose existing videos. Jim Ed shares tips on downloading existing videos and reusing the product tags to make it easier to re-upload them for Canada.
They talk about testing out Amazon's Creator Connections program which allows you work with brands at higher commission rates. There is speculation that Amazon Influencer videos could also get commissions through this program.
Andrew talks about buying a trending TikTok product on Amazon, reviewing it on TikTok, and planning to reuse that video on Amazon Influencer. He discusses the potential of repurposing TikTok product review content.
They express optimism and excitement about improving sales in the spring season. They also discuss expanding to Amazon Influencer UK when it launches.
They emphasize that even if you only make $400-500 per month on Amazon Influencer, it can be worth the time invested if you are strategic. Jim Ed expects his sales floor to be $3,000+ per month at this point.

Jim and Andrew discuss lower sales numbers recently on Amazon, likely due to changes with the bottom carousel not showing for all users. This makes predicting future sales difficult.
They talk about wanting to be the top video on the top carousel since that gets played first and most prominently. However, there's no clear way to control that placement.
In terms of adapting to lower sales as the "new normal," Jim says he would keep making videos as that seems directly tied to higher earnings. Andrew is less motivated to make more videos if the return diminishes.
They discuss considering incorporating better thumbnails and titles to try increasing clicks and conversions, which may lead to staying on the carousel longer. This could be tested by redoing some existing videos.
The video creation skills from Amazon influencing could transfer to platforms like TikTok and YouTube. But significantly more effort is likely needed to gain traction there.
Having an encouraging community helps motivate during discouraging periods. The Facebook group Side Hustle Heroes HQ provides this.
Developing multiple income streams is advisable so you aren't solely dependent on unpredictable Amazon sales. Though the platform remains profitable overall if approached wisely.
