Monty Pickle and Victor Yerrid took 20 minutes to discuss with Malcolm what it's like to be a pickle in the modern world.
Monty Pickle is a puppet character and the star of The Monty Pickle Show, an online children's series designed to introduce kids to Jewish culture, traditions, and joy. Created by veteran children's media producers, including puppet master Victor Yerrid, the kosher dill puppet explores holidays and Jewish life with humor.
Victor Yerrid is a show creator, writer, DGA director, and world-renowned puppeteer. He created and produced the orchestral puppet concerts The Great Chipmunk Picnic and Race For the Reef for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and Halloween Fandemonium for the Pacific Symphony. Victor was the Co-Creator/EP of the Disney Junior pilot Eddie the Yeti. He has written for Rubble & Crew, Friendzspace, and Word Party and has directed numerous puppet series including Crank Yankers, Wake Up, Pajanimals!, Kookamakaluka, and The Movie Show Victor has been a puppeteer & voice artist for the Jim Henson Company, Sid & Marty Krofft, and The Walt Disney Company for almost thirty years. His work includes Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Hangover, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Team America, Men in Black II, Robot Chicken, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Community, Angel, Night Court, Miracle Workers, Crank Yankers, Greg the Bunny, The Sarah Silverman Project, No You Shut Up, Word Party, Sid the Science Kid, Slumberkins, Mutt & Stuff, Hannah Montana, Sigmund & the Sea Monsters, Splash & Bubbles, Pajanimals, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The 2010 Grammy Awards, and Sesame Street.

Full-time artist, part-time disruptor and art advocate j.Reto discusses how creativity affects his work and personal life.
Born in eastern Pennsylvania, artist j.Reto lived in Rochester, NY, before moving to California where he spent 30 years exploring and delineating his artistic style. In 2017, he and his family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where he abandoned his old art practice for a new understanding, new aesthetic and new perspective on the Neo Art Markets. He was a founding member of Anchorage’s CIRCLE5 art group and is preparing to launching C3 (Creatives, Collectors & Community), an enclave of art activists wanting to advance the art scene in Alaska. j.Reto shows regularly throughout Anchorage and currently has a 10’ x 15’ installation at Cyrano’s Theatre Gallery. He is curating a reimagined mythos show at ConocoPhillips Gallery this June titled, Last ‘tier, and will have a yet to be titled solo show in October at Alaska Pacific University.
