Beyond Sister Wives: Meri Brown Reclaims Her Worth After Plural Marriage | S6 - Episode 11504 Aug 202600:31:26

Meri Brown is a television personality, entrepreneur, and one of the original women featured on TLC's long-running reality series Sister Wives.

The show began by documenting the daily life of a plural family made up of one husband, four wives, and 18 children. Over more than a decade on television, viewers watched the family navigate marriage, parenting, faith, relocation, changing relationships, and, eventually, the unraveling of the family structure they had worked to build.

But no television show could ever capture the fullness of Meri's story.

In the Season 6 premiere of Created Worthy, Meri takes us beyond what viewers have seen on screen and shares what it has been like to repeatedly process some of the most difficult experiences of her life in front of millions of people.

Meri opens up about growing up in a plural family, marrying at 19, navigating infertility and miscarriage, questioning her value in a culture centered around motherhood, walking through the end of her marriage, and discovering who she is beyond the roles she was once expected to fill.

Danielle and Meri also talk honestly about grief, bitterness, shame, safe relationships, creative processing, personal development, and the emotional journey that inspired Meri to create the Worthy Up movement.

This is not simply a conversation about reality television.

It is a conversation about what happens when the life you once knew begins to fall apart, and when you finally give yourself permission to believe it might actually be falling into place.

If you are rebuilding your identity, walking through loss, or learning how to believe in your own worth again, this episode is for you.

No matter what you have been through or what season you are in right now, YOU are Created Worthy.

Content note: This episode includes conversations about infertility, miscarriage, grief, divorce, and difficult family relationships.

ABOUT MERI BROWN

Meri Brown is an entrepreneur, public figure, and original cast member of TLC's Sister Wives, a reality television series that began by following the lives of a plural family with one husband, four wives, and 18 children.

Meri grew up in a plural family and entered her own plural marriage at 19 years old. Over the years, millions of viewers watched her navigate infertility, motherhood, changing family relationships, public scrutiny, and the eventual end of the marriage and family structure that had shaped much of her adult life.

Outside of television, Meri has continued the deeply personal work of rediscovering her identity and building a life rooted in authenticity, personal growth, and inherent worthiness.

She is the founder of Worthy Up, a movement and community created to help people embrace their stories, recognize their value, build meaningful connections, and move toward the lives they know they are capable of creating.

CREATIVE PROCESSING ACTIVITY

Creative processing is simply activating your creative mind to process a certain intention.

Your creative process does not need to look artistic or produce something impressive. It might look like writing, painting, drawing, reorganizing your home, building a spreadsheet, having an honest conversation, or taking a phone-free walk beneath the trees.

The value is not found in the finished product.

The value is found in what becomes clear while you create.

Further Processing Questions:

  • What part of yourself have you believed you needed to hide, separate, or apologize for?
  • What might change if you allowed every honest part of yourself to belong?

Am I Actually Created Worthy?01 Aug 202600:34:37

What happens when the message you have spent years speaking over everyone else becomes the very thing you are struggling to believe for yourself?

For the host of a podcast called Created Worthy, I have spent a surprising amount of time quietly asking:

Am I even worthy?

Am I still worthy when I cannot produce what I used to produce?

Am I still worthy when my body, brain, appearance, capacity, and plans have all changed?

Am I still worthy when I am healing, behind, uncertain, and nowhere close to operating at 100%?

In this deeply honest solo episode, I am finally sharing where I have been, why Created Worthy has remained quiet, and why Season 6 has taken nearly two years to arrive.

After two car accidents in the fall of 2024 left me recovering from a traumatic brain injury, the abilities I had always depended on began to change. Screens became exhausting. Processing took longer. My memory became unpredictable. Most painfully, the words that had always come so naturally to me suddenly required an incredible amount of effort.

I kept waiting to wake up and feel like myself again.

I kept believing I could return once I was fully healed, fully confident, fully organized, and capable of doing everything the way I had before.

Then, after spending the entire year preparing for double jaw reconstruction surgery, the procedure was unexpectedly postponed because my surgeons need more space between my teeth to safely make the necessary cuts.

I was supposed to be recovering in a hospital bed when I recorded this episode.

Instead, I found myself sitting behind a microphone, realizing that maybe I do not need to wait until every part of my life is fixed before I begin again.

I am not returning with a perfect comeback story. My brain is still healing. Surgery is still ahead of me. My capacity is different. My life is still being rearranged, and there are still many unanswered questions.

But I am here.

And I am beginning to understand that being in process does not make us less worthy. Changed capacity does not erase our calling. Slowing down is not the same as giving up. We do not have to become who we used to be before we are allowed to take the next faithful step.

Maybe you need that reminder too.

You do not have to be fully healed to have something meaningful to give.

You do not have to be operating at 100% to be worthy of taking up space.

You do not have to wait until your life is perfectly organized before you begin again.

You are allowed to move forward as the person you are becoming.

THE EPISODE RUNDOWN:

✨ Recovering from a traumatic brain injury after two car accidents

✨ What happens when your brain has always been the engine behind your work

✨ Losing words, screen capacity, executive function, and confidence

✨ The uncomfortable difference between giving up and honoring your capacity

✨ Preparing all year for double jaw reconstruction surgery

✨ Why the surgery was unexpectedly postponed

✨ Wrestling with anxiety, depression, identity, appearance, and self-worth

✨ Learning to release the pressure to become who you were before

✨ Why being here is worthy of celebration

SEASON 6 IS FINALLY HERE

New episodes of Created Worthy begin Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

We are kicking off the season with Meri Brown from TLC's Sister Wives and her powerful story of identity, transition, rebuilding, and learning that your worth was never dependent on the role you played for someone else.

Throughout Season 6, you will also hear from:

✨ Heidi Parton, Dolly Parton's incredibly talented niece who grew up performing at Dollywood

✨ Erika Brouillette, who became a full-time caregiver after her husband experienced a devastating traumatic brain injury and now helps other TBI wives reclaim their lives and identities

✨ Bestselling authors Jill Ferguson and Becky Keife

✨ Returning Created Worthy guests Rebecca George and Breanna Bortner, who are sharing life-changing updates from the years since their original episodes

This season is filled with stories of grief, faith, success, disappointment, identity, resilience, unexpected responsibility, reinvention, and new beginnings.

These are stories from women whose lives did not unfold the way they planned, but who are discovering that their worth remains unchanged in every version of their story.

And apparently, the final few minutes are also filled with bloopers, teleprompter panic, braces, accidental spitting, and repeated requests to "cut that out."

You're welcome.

A REMINDER FOR YOU:

Your worth is not something you earn after you heal.

Your worth is not a reward for productivity.

Your worth is not lost when your capacity changes.

You were created worthy before the success, before the loss, before the diagnosis, before the divorce, before the breakthrough, before the comeback, before anyone applauded you, and before you ever proved anything at all.

You are still worthy in the healing.

You are still worthy in the waiting.

You are still worthy in the rebuilding.

You are still worthy in the unknown.

YOU are Created Worthy.

The Episode Rundown:
✨ Why Does Uncertainty Feel So Uncomfortable?
✨ Pushing through Fear of the Unknown
✨ Identifying the Source of Your Uncertainty
✨ Meeting the Human Need for Certainty
✨ Harnessing the Power of Imagination to Overcome Uncertainty
✨ Actionable Challenge for Listeners
+ SO MUCH MORE!

Creative Processing Defined: Activating your creative mind to process a certain intention.

CREATIVE PROCESSING CHALLENGE: UNCERTAINTY

Step 1: Write down your intention:
The purpose of [JOURNALING OR CREATING HOWEVER YOU WANT TO CREATE] is to process my [UNCERTAINTY] and/or [REFRAME MY PERSPECTIVE TO MOVE FORWARD WITH CONFIDENCE].
When we approach creative processing with intention, we open ourselves up to real transformation.

Step 2: Creative Processing Prompt:
What are you uncertain about right now?

Step 3: Engage your creative mind (aka-CREATE) while thinking through or writing down answers to these questions:
List what's outside of your control.
Write down uncertainties and fears to demystify them.
Circle the ones that trigger fear.

Step 4: Reflect.
What's working, and what isn't?
Identify 1-2 new strategies to try.

Processing Procrastination & Perfectionism – Breaking the Cycle | Danielle Damrell & Sherita Harkness | Episode 10404 Mar 202500:42:54

In this episode, Danielle Damrell and Sherita Harkness help listeners understand the root causes of procrastination and perfectionism, provide practical strategies for overcoming them, and introduce creative processing as a tool to break the cycle.

YOU are Created Worthy.

The Episode Rundown:

✨ Why Do We Struggle with Procrastination & Perfectionism?

✨ The Hidden Cost of Both

✨ Processing Procrastination & Perfectionism

✨ A Guided Reframing Exercise

✨ Actionable Challenge for Listeners

+ SO MUCH MORE!

Creative Processing Defined: Activating your creative mind to process a certain intention.

CREATIVE PROCESSING CHALLENGE: PROCRASTINATION & PERFECTIONISM

Step 1: Before engaging in the exercises, set this intention:

  • The purpose of [WRITING/CREATING] is to process [PROCRASTINATION & PERFECTIONISM] and reframe [MY PERSPECTIVE TO TAKE MEANINGFUL ACTION].

  • When we approach creative processing with intention, we open ourselves up to real transformation.

Step 2: Where are you waiting?

  • Identify areas in your life where you're waiting for the "perfect" moment to take action (career, health, relationships, creativity, etc.).

  • Ask yourself: What small step can I take today?

Step 3: List Small Steps Forward

  • Take one of those areas and break it down into the smallest possible action steps to move forward.

  • Remember: Done beats perfect.

Step 4: Reflect

  • How can YOU embrace imperfection and focus on progress rather than perfection?

  • Write about a time when imperfection led to something unexpectedly great.

S1: What is Creative Processing? | Ep. 114 Jun 202100:19:05

Join Danielle as she explains her definition of creative processing. The creative process is a natural phenomenon that Doctors and other experts cannot even begin to explain. Creativity looks so different for every person, but each of us have a unique creative gift to benefit our lives and our communities. This episode explains how to use creative processing as a TOOL to bring healing and the ability to maintain stability into our lives… but ONLY if it's used with intention.

Creative Process Research Study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6259352/

KEY POINTS:

  • We all create… but creative processes look different for everyone.
  • Creative processing can be used as a positive tool in our lives.
  • There's a difference between using creative processing to maintain and using it to heal.
  • Use a phrase like this to begin developing your creative processing mindset: The purpose of doing ______ is to process ______.
  • For ADHDer's use a phrase like this: The purpose of doing ______ AND ______ is to process ______ AND ______.

S1: Danielle Damrell's Story | Ep. 014 Jun 202101:17:41
Join Danielle as she talks candidly about her story and mission for this podcast. In this episode, she talks about her testimony from tragedy to triumph and includes a few experiences that have never before been publicly shared. You will also learn about how creative processing has played a huge role in her healing journey. Typical Danielle style, she's kicking off this show with a reality check most people won't see coming!

KEY POINTS:

  • Seek to honor your story when you share it.
  • Don't publicly talk about things that are unprocessed, it doesn't serve you or the audience you're talking to.
  • Find your village and dig into them.
  • Don't judge a book by its cover… and don't judge a person by what you THINK you know about them.
  • My mission as a Christ-follower is to SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST. That's it.

Trading the Newsroom for a New Life | Part 2 | Sara Davenport | Episode 9609 Jan 202500:47:09

Sara Davenport is an Emmy award-winning TV anchor, spending nearly 2 decades working for NBC. While this Houston-based journalist loved being an on-camera storyteller, she missed being present for her boys as they grew up. She was tired of chasing hurricanes and breaking news, and instead wanted to chase her 4 little boys as a fully present parent. After years of anchoring the news in front of 4-million people a day, Sara pivoted from her high-profile life and began to design a life she loved!

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur, Sara launched her online business ventures while still a newscaster. She is a brand ambassador and runs a very successful e-commerce business in the health and wellness industry. She has trained on stage in front of  18,000 people. Telling stories from stage became her passion, as she inspired countless audiences worldwide.

Passionate about creating multiple streams of income, Sara didn't stop there. She used her writing and storytelling skills to create both a LinkedIn Marketing Agency and a course for entrepreneurs called "The Storytellers Experience."  Sara scaled her businesses to 6-figures in under a year, without paying for Ads or marketing. Instead, she used the power for storytelling to convert clients, now running a mobile, global business alongside her busy family life.

Sara is Created Worthy.

I Ghosted You. This is Why. | Created Worthy Update + New Podcast Announcement | Episode 11323 Dec 202500:51:20

Hey friend. It's been quiet here, and today's episode is my honest coming-back moment.

In this deeply personal solo episode, I share why I went silent, what God has been doing behind the scenes, and how a season marked by illness, loss, pruning, rest, and wonder completely reshaped my leadership, my faith, and my family. This is not a story about failure or falling apart. It's a story about protection, healing, obedience, and learning how to listen when God gets loud.

If you've ever disappeared because life overwhelmed you, questioned whether rest was disobedience, or wondered if God was still working while everything felt paused, this episode is for you.

No matter what you've been through or what season you're in right now, YOU are Created Worthy.

Carjacked, Kidnapped, and Almost Toast | Allison's Story Part 2 | Episode 9402 Jan 202500:55:10

Trigger Warning: This episode contains deeply personal and sensitive content that may be triggering for some listeners. It discusses experiences of trauma, including kidnapping, physical assault, and emotional abuse. The conversation covers themes of fear, survival, and recovery, as well as challenges with mental health such as complex PTSD, night terrors, and the impact of narcissistic relationships. Listener discretion is advised.

Allison is an ethereal light that remains bright in devastating circumstances. She's faced cruelty, but in true Allison fashion has turned that into fierce empathy that overrides destruction and instead turns it into compassion. Compassion for her community, for other survivors, the lost souls of the world, and perhaps most importantly for herself.

She has used the experiences, good and bad, as an opportunity to connect. Through her art and through her words that drip with serenity, she leads with authenticity and vulnerability that allows others to feel safe enough to do the same. A recent trauma in her life had a strong possibility of breaking her beyond repair, but it's something beautiful to see the way she has chosen to respond.

She is driven to heal out loud, as she believes that although hurt people hurt people, healing people heal people. She is overwhelmed by the grace she's received in being spared and the support she's received from her community.

That which could have killed her has instead given her a new appreciation for the human experience. She uses her art to speak, an outlet that has carried her and resonates as powerfully as her cadence.

To know her is to know unspeakable resilience paired with unconditional love. She is an advocate for survivors and speaks from her experience and deep understanding of mental health and trauma, she has a keen knowledge and big heart when it comes to speaking on complex PTSD, narcissistic abuse & Domestic Violence survivors, addiction, self harm, religious trauma, and queer adversity. She aims to spread awareness and empower others with similar stories, as well as prevent future victims.
Her vision & her whimsical approach to life is contagious, her insight is invaluable, and her warmth is inviting.

Allison is Created Worthy.

Processing Fruit - Success Isn't About Your Money and Things | Danielle Damrell & Sherita Harkness | Episode 11227 May 202500:20:30
What kind of fruit is growing in your life right now? And what happens when it's more weeds than fruit? In this episode of the Created Worthy Podcast, Danielle and Sherita process the fruit of the Spirit in real time — asking big questions, pulling from Galatians 5 and 6, and reflecting on what it really looks like to walk with the Holy Spirit when you're feeling distracted, overwhelmed, or just plain human. From self-inventory to spiritual growth metaphors, this episode is part heart-to-heart, part Bible study, part gardening lesson — and all grace. Whether you're in a season of bearing good fruit or realizing your soil needs some serious tending, this conversation will help you slow down, get honest, and partner with the Spirit in practical, tangible ways. YOU are Created Worthy. The Episode Rundown:
✨ What Galatians says about the fruit of the Spirit vs. acts of the flesh
✨ Why spiritual fruit isn't about what you can achieve
✨ How to test your soil and identify what's blocking growth
✨ Why community matters more than performance
✨ How creative processing plays a role in planting and pruning Creative Processing Defined: Activating your creative mind to process a certain intention.

CREATIVE PROCESSING CHALLENGE: Processing Fruit Set this intention before engaging in the exercise:
The purpose of [CREATING] is to process [FRUIT IN MY LIFE—TENDING, PRUNING, OR PLANTING]. Step 1: Sort Your Fruit
Ask yourself honestly: Am I seeing more of the Holy Spirit or more of my flesh lately?
Make a quick pro/con style list if it helps. Name it. Own it. Don't sugarcoat it. Read Galatians 5:13–26 + Galatians 6:7–9 Step 2: Test Your Soil
What's going on beneath the surface in your heart right now?
Are there any patterns, beliefs, or old wounds that need uprooting?
Shame and burnout grow fast when left unchecked. Step 3: Plant & Care
Pick one fruit of the Spirit you want to see grow in this season.
What helps nourish that? Is it rest? Prayer? A boundary? Honest community?
Remember — the Holy Spirit does the growing. You're just tending the soil. RESOURCES & LINKS MENTIONED:  REAL TALK FOR YOU (yes, you!)
Okay real talk… if you laughed, cried, had a lightbulb moment, or yelled "SAME" out loud at any point during this episode… don't just ghost me. 📸 Screenshot and tag @createdworthypodcast — I wanna see what part hit you.
⭐️ Leave a review (please!) it's basically the podcast version of a love note, and I read every single one.
💌 And if you've got a friend who's currently drowning in weeds and could use some fruit-growing encouragement, send this their way. Sharing is caring. This podcast is built on real conversations, no fluff, and Holy Spirit nudges — not algorithms. So when you share or review, it actually helps us reach more women who need these reminders too. Thanks for being here. Seriously. You're the best kind of fruit. (Too far? Eh, leaving it.) CONNECT WITH SHERITA:

No Pain is Wasted: Trusting God with the Outcome of the Unknown | Baylor Knott | Episode 8215 Oct 202401:03:24

Baylor Knott is a fresh voice of hope for women who find themselves struggling to trust God as they walk the potholed and dimly lit road of life just not going the way they thought it would. Sometimes God doesn't behave the way we want Him to, and when that happens, our faith can be shaken to its foundations. In those moments, we question God's goodness, His love for us, even His very existence. Having walked that road and asked those same questions for years as she struggled to trust God in the midst of infertility and a prolonged, painful international adoption, Baylor now uses her voice to encourage women right where they are and remind them that we know and follow a God who is incapable of dropping the ball in our lives.

With compassion, transparency and a joyful hope that is rooted in the truth of God's Word, Baylor helps women discover that God can take our unmet expectations, our ruined plans, our shattered dreams and use them to create the kind of beauty that will last for all eternity.

Baylor and her husband make their home in Birmingham, Alabama with their three children.. A former middle school English teacher, she now wrangles her kids while using the lessons God has taught her through two international adoptions, a surprise pregnancy and a lifetime of unexpected adventure to reach women right where they are and point them back to the truth that God is always working to take the broken and make it beautiful.

Processing Trust – Rebuilding One Promise at a Time | Danielle Damrell & Sherita Harkness | Episode 11108 May 202500:42:53

What happens when trust breaks down—whether it's with others, with God, or even within yourself?

In this episode of the Created Worthy Podcast, Danielle and Sherita explore what it means to rebuild trust after seasons of disappointment, confusion, or betrayal. From subtle moments of self-doubt to the big ruptures that shake our faith, this conversation is a deep dive into what it really takes to rebuild the bridge—gracefully, honestly, and one small promise at a time.

Whether you're struggling to trust others again, questioning God's timing, or realizing you've stopped believing your own words, this episode will speak to your heart. Together, Danielle and Sherita unpack the emotional, spiritual, and practical sides of rebuilding trust in every direction.

YOU are Created Worthy.

The Episode Rundown:

✨ Why we stop trusting ourselves after hard seasons (not just others)
✨ How unprocessed grief and unmet expectations get misdirected toward God
✨ Faith as a form of self-trust—and the currency that activates heaven's provision
✨ What Sherita learned while… pulling weeds?
✨ Why micro-wins matter more than motivation
✨ The connection between daily manna & spiritual fruit
✨ Danielle's honest reflection after dropping the ball on a task
✨ How to rebuild trust without overcomplicating your healing

Creative Processing Defined: Activating your creative mind to process a certain intention.

CREATIVE PROCESSING CHALLENGE: Trust Activation

Set this intention before engaging in the exercise:

  • The purpose of [WRITING OR CREATING] is to process [REBUILDING TRUST].

  • When you pair intention with creativity, you begin to break shame-based patterns and reconnect with truth.

Step 1: Pick One Small Thing

  • Choose one action you've been longing to follow through on (breathing breaks, stretching, painting, drinking water, etc) —something that helps you ground, heal, and/or connect with who you have been created to be.

Step 2: Commit to 3 Days

  • Not forever—just 3 days of consistent follow-through.

  • Only make promises to yourself that you fully intend to keep. Let your yes be yes, and your no be no.

Step 3: Reflect Afterward

After 3 days, journal:

  • What shifted?

  • What has helped you feel safer in your own mind and body?

  • What does trust look like in this season? Are you in a big circle season, or a small circle season? Both are equally valuable.

📲 Tag @CreatedWorthyPodcast and share what you chose! We'd love to celebrate with you.
