Episode 8 and that's a wrap. In this episode Tom interviews the artists who all formed part of the dinners. The conversations were free flowing and allowed for tangents, ebbs and flows of topic and tone - A melody of emotion to wrap up the journey.

Episode 7 documents an interview carried out by Tom. He questions Roo and they slowly unravel the inspirations behind the work in the exhibition as well as deeper layers of Roo's practice. Exactly one year after the first dinner took place, Roo and Tom reflect on what's changed.

Episode 6 was recorded the same day as Episode 5. We began this session reading Ella Shohat's On the Arab-Jew, Palestine, and Other Displacements: Selected Writings. Many of us discussed multifaceted identity and what it means to be mixed race or belong to an ethnicity that does not fit neatly into stereotypical colonial or politicised categories and agendas.

Episode 5 saw artists gathering in the kitchen, the heating was broken, we gravitated to the warmest room in the building. It provided its own politics. In this episode we read through Sara Ahmed's Cultural Politics of Emotion and the word 'Hope' immediately took us on a journey embracing current political feelings as well as hope for a free Palestine.

Episode 4 is an introduction to the artists who we part of the dinners at Primary. This the first dinner in Nottingham and the first time some of the artists had met each other. Primary was a much larger space, the room was echoey, tall, ironically - an old primary school canteen. Everyone was spaced around the table. Artists in this session were encouraged to think about artworks and objects that have significance to them or their practice.

Episode 3 documents uninterrupted conversation. The soundscape provides an audio photograph of the connections that began to began to form at GLOAM.

Episode 2 took place on Zoom as there were train strikes on the day. Artists were invited to bring food and chat online. We were thinking through barriers we face in the arts and what it means to be an artist.

Episode 1 is an introduction to the artists who were part of the dinners at GLOAM Gallery. This the first dinner and the first time the artists had met each other. Gloam was an intimate space no bigger than an average front room, everyone was squashed around the table. Artists in this session were encouraged to think about people in their lives who have shaped them and brought in photographs to share.
