Oftentimes after you've run your business for a certain amount of time, you will always get asked this one question: if you had to start over, what would you do? 

 

As I've been gearing up for my launch of The Embodied Boss Collective, I've been thinking about the different women I've been talking to who want to be inside of the programme and the conversations I've been having with my clients, and it got me thinking - what would I do differently?

A phrase that I say often to my clients, and that is one of my guiding principles is this: if you want big results, you've got make big moves.

 

This is one of the most common topics of conversation I have with potential clients in the DMs who are considering joining The Embodied Boss Collective this year because we look at, okay, well I'm doing this little thing and I'm doing that little thing.

 

But then we go through the same motions every single day wondering why nothing is working or changing…

 

So, Boss - it's time to make some big moves. But to make big moves, you often have to take big risks. It is simply a requirement as an entrepreneur to take risks. 

 

But rather than me just telling you that you need to take risks, let's actually dissect in today's episode what taking risks means, what safety means, and how you can completely reframe the way that you look at taking risks.

 

This episode is actually inspired by some of my clients. Over the past few months, I've noticed that they've been asking me way more questions about my journey and how I've taken big leaps in my business pretty much every year since I started.

Let's start off with some good news - more and more women are starting businesses than ever before, which is incredible.

But there's a big challenge that so many women I'm talking to are struggling with.

Most of the information, support, and strategies out there are geared towards those beginner business owners.

Here is the number one reason so many business owners fail to achieve their goals…

I want to start off today with two words for you: GOAL SETTING.

 

It seems like an easy enough process. You write a goal down on a sticky note. You put it on your wall so that you can look at it every single day and be inspired about what you're working towards. 

 

But then five months later, that sticky note has gone missing. It is lost in the shuffle. You have no idea what direction your business is going in.

This is one of the reasons that goal setting is often a practice that does not work for most people. We tend to only do it once a year and then completely forget about it.

All too often I find amazing business owners who are fighting burnout simply because they're spending every moment worrying and thinking about their business. 

 

And with everything we've experienced over the last few years, many of us are starting to feel that burnout. We're starting to feel just this general exhaustion. We haven't had very much fun. It feels like there's always something going wrong in the world, and it starts to really weigh on us. 

 

So I'm here to tell you that no matter what might be happening in the world, we can still intentionally build out our dream life while we are growing our dream business, especially if we just take a moment and get clarity about what we want to be experiencing right now.

Boss - we are in the home stretch of 2023 which means the Christmas season is just around the corner. For us business owners though, we are already thinking ahead to our big dreams for the new year. 

 

So before you make those plans thought and start scribbling out your goals for 2024 over your morning coffee or your festive cocktail, it's important that you don't just look ahead, but that you also take some time to reflect on your progress this past year in your business. 

 

I know that the last few years have been a challenge and so many of us just want to move forward and to have that fresh start already so we can stay focused on those big dreams, big goals, big plans. 

 

But one of the reasons that so many business owners don't reach their goals is they come up against the same obstacles again and again that cause them to work harder than needed in order to break through to that next level of success in their business.

 

That is why I'm so excited because starting today, I'm going to share with you a 5 part series called Your 2024 Gameplan. 

 

Over the next 5 episodes, we're not only going to walk through the same strategic planning process that I personally have used for nearly a decade - but that I have also been sharing with hundreds of women entrepreneurs to help them create a solid and strategic action plan for the year ahead.

Welcome to the fifth and final instalment of "The Path to Predictable Income" series!

Today's topic is a little bit personal…

This won't come as a big surprise to you, but sometimes I can be TOO strategic - I like lists, I like things to be in a certain order and I like to just follow the plan. 

So this means I love plans, I love color coding, I am just a really extreme type A person… so incorporating fun and going off script can feel super awkward and stressful for me.

My mindset coach is always reminding me that because I'm so logical I forget to believe in magic and so I thought this would be a great conversation for us to have as we wrap up Q3 and head into the last quarter of the year. 

Because when I do infuse fun and magic and playfulness, that's when I usually have the biggest breakthroughs and I hope that you can too. 

Here's the lowdown of what we're going to cover:

- My personal experience with infusing more fun and magic into my business

- Some journal prompts to help you start to implement this

- A few tangible action steps for you to round this up (because I know you love those!)

I truly believe in having a plan. And for you to be in business for the long-term you need to make sure that you love what you're doing and that you're loving the everyday activities you're doing too.

For me, the long game means enjoying what you do, infusing fun and magic into your business, and also really thinking about how do you want to live first and then work your business around that.

Welcome to episode 5 of the Boss Your Q4 series!

Today we're wrapping up the series with a short guided audio and affirmation pep talk to help you start Q4 in the best way possible. 

This is WAY out of my comfort zone, I have never done anything like this on the podcast before… but I thought this was the best way to end our series getting you all prepped and ready for Q4.

This is part of the Boss Your Q4 series specifically, but it's also perfect to listen to anytime you need a pep talk from yours truly. 

Ideally I want you to be sat down and really present listening to this because I want you to feel some of the things I'll be saying to you.

I promise this will be 5 minutes of your time you'll be so glad you spent taking that time for yourself and your future.

I would also encourage you to have your journal by your side so that after you've done this meditation, you can write down how you felt or anything that's coming up for you immediately. 

So get ready to feel a shift and with that said I will lead you gently through this guided audio.

Welcome to episode 4 of the Boss Your Q4 series!

Over 5 episodes, I'm going to be coaching you on finishing 2023 strong, strategising the rest of the year and me basically trying to help you as much as I can!

So far we've talked about how to boss the rest of 2023 with a successful strategy, how to take advantage of the seasons when content planning, and how to plan for an epic Black Friday

That brings us to the fourth installment of this series in which we are going to be talking all about taking time off.

I always have at least two weeks off at Christmas and one question I get asked a lot is: how do I plan for that? How do you take that amount of time off when you are the CEO of your business? 

So this week on podcast, we are talking about how to plan holiday time off as business owners. This is a non-negotiable for me, throughout the year but especially in December. 

And this is the thing as the boss of your business, you are the business owner, you make the rules, you make the schedule. So there are these seasons throughout the year that we get to plan for to take time off. 

Whatever that looks like for you throughout the year, I want to give you the context and thought process that I go through when I am planning to take these bigger amounts of time off, so you can plan for them too.

I am SO excited to bring you the Boss Your Q4 series!!!!

Over the next 5 weeks I'm going to be coaching you on finishing 2023 strong, strategising the rest of the year and me basically trying to help you as much as I can!

Now, I get that we are at the end of August, but let me tell you - this is the time to be thinking about Q4. 

You don't want to be thinking about these things in October and November when you are rushing to execute, rushing to plan, rushing to strategize, you feel like you've lost a grip on your goals, you're trying to slow down for the holiday season. 

That's not the vibe. You want to make sure  that you're looking at these things with enough space and looking at them ahead of time so you can really plan and set yourself up for success. 

So to kick things off with the first episode in this series, I'm going to share with you the things that I encourage you to look at for this point in the year.

This is going to allow you to see what's going on, what's already planned for the rest of the year and anywhere we need to reevaluate, readjust, and re-strategise.

So get your pen and paper out because you're definitely going to want to write these things down!

In just a month and a half, we will be getting down to the last 90 days of 2023. 

So I wanted to ask you a really important question: are you winding down or are you ramping up? Here's what I mean by that. 

For some of us, we get to the end of September and we've already decided that the year is pretty much over - the festive season is just around the corner. We're busy taking part in festive fun or taking kids to all their activities. It's just easier to go with the flow than to focus on your big goals.
