Today I’m talking to Kumba Dauda. Kumba is the founder of Wholehearted Social, the award-winning blogger behind @KumbearXO and contributing author of ‘She is Unstoppable’, a book about overcoming adversity.

Despite working in social media and using a lot of digital platforms in her day to day life, Kumba finds her balance and peace in life offline. Today she shares some of the parts of her journey that have shaped her, from finding her confidence in new surroundings to learning to love her scars.

Today I’m joined by entrepreneur and property developer Natalie Brown. Natalie’s career is varied, spanning renovation projects, founding a women’s home and creating social media content for 40+ women to name but a few strings to her bow.

Today we’re joined by Samantha Silver and Gemma Rose Breger, the ladies behind This is Mothership. This is Mothership is a platform that was made to share all kinds of life hacks with busy moms, from how to do your make-up in 5 minutes, to brilliant date night outfits that don’t require you to shave your legs if you’re in a rush… The girls met through their jobs, Sam a beauty director and Gemma a fashion stylist, and between them they have a wealth of experience and knowledge that they love to share.   

One of the reasons why we were so keen to talk to Sam and Gemma is that we really feel that they embody the true IT Cosmetics spirit. Our mission is to make people feel as confident as possible, exactly as they are. We don’t airbrush our photos, we use real women in all of our campaigns, and we like to keep life simple. Sam and Gemma do just that on their page, sharing their unfiltered opinions and advice in the name of helping like-minded moms everywhere. They share their own stories and are always happy to listen if others want to share theirs.

This week, Anna and Lucia Whitehouse, aka Mother Pukka and Grandmother Pukka, are joining us to talk confidence.

Anna’s blog and online presence has resonated with mothers in varying stages of their parenting journey, and she’s been open about her path to motherhood which has included good and bad news along the way.

She also spearheaded a movement called the Flex Appeal, a petition to ensure that people in every workplace are entitled to flexible working. She believes in supporting those who wish to work hard and at the same time maintain a healthy work/life balance.

Then there’s her mother, Lucia, who shares her tips and advice on being a modern grandmother. Whether she’s talking to fellow grandmothers or even mothers of children that trust her experience and words of wisdom, she’s doing it with a great sense of humour and possibly a shot of Sambuca to hand.

Today’s guest is someone that I was personally really excited to talk to, it’s Bryony Blake. Bryony has been a professional make-up artist for many years, working with some of the UK’s most recognised celebrities and TV shows. In addition, she’s the resident beauty expert on This Morning, and she always shares the love for IT Cosmetics when she shares her favourite picks! One of her favourite ways to share her knowledge is on Instagram, where she uploads IGTV videos to demonstrate various make-up tips.

Outside of work she’s a real family girl, always priding herself on sharing snippets of her home life, and in my experience she’s a real girls girl, happy to help her peers and support in any way she can.
