Suddenly, A 2nd Episode31 Dec 202500:01:00

Just because I can, I have recorded and released a SECOND episode.  There are NO RULES.

Ep. 5: "Improv in scripted film & television"03 Jan 202600:14:23

A listener asks about doing improv in scripted film & television.  I hope that my answer is even partially helpful.

Ep. 4: "Is it ever too late to chase the dream of performance?"03 Jan 202600:14:27

Another listener question, submitted via e-mail.  Again, I'm not sure if my answers will be satisfying or helpful in any way.

Ep 3: "Do/did you ever get STAGE FRIGHT?"03 Jan 202600:11:40

A listener question, answered!  Sort of.  I realize that some of these rambling responses might be unsatisfactory, but I'm figuring it out.

Ep 10: "Is it worth moving to NYC or L.A. to pursue acting?"05 Jan 202600:13:34

NYC or L.A.?  Are they worth it?  Should you move there to become an actor?  A complicated answer to a complicated question!

Ep 9: "What is the puuuuuuurfect distance from the mic?"05 Jan 202600:01:51

I answer a technical question!  Is my answer even borderline acceptable?  Listen and find out!

Ep 8: "A request for Finn Wolfhard to be a guest"05 Jan 202600:11:26

A listener makes a request for FINN WOLFHARD to be a guest on CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS.  I talk a little bit about the possible future of CRpTAC as a show, including WHO might be guest on it!

Ep 7: "Any nightmare actors?"05 Jan 202600:14:23

A question about any "nightmare actors" I have had to work with!

Ep 6: "Can You Say Why You Do Things, Please?"05 Jan 202600:11:29

I try to sincerely answer this question!  Why do I do things?

Ep 13: Low ticket sales, the Future and other topics06 Jan 202600:13:34

A time-sensitive episode about the show I'm doing on January 11, 2026.  Ticket sales are slow, and there is the danger of cancelation, which has me in a melancholy mood.  An ill-advised episode that I almost didn't release, and which I might DELETE!

Is it just me whining?  Or is it me being philosophical about failure?  I truly don't know!

Ep 12: "When you're improvising, how do you balance the COMEDY and the REALISM?"06 Jan 202600:13:34

A long answer to the question!

Ep 11: "How do you ACT if you have Ophthalmophobia?"06 Jan 202600:03:41

How do you ACT if you have a fear of being stared at?

Ep 16: A filler episode26 Jan 202600:06:35

Just a few small thoughts after bringing the show to Pennsylvania the other night

Ep 15: Can "non-actors" ACT??22 Jan 202600:09:03

I mean, sure they can!  But I dig into it, in detail.

A question about acting and improv opportunities in small towns

This question is about the time Tom Hanks cast me in the audiobook version of his novel.

Ep 18: FREE stuff31 Jan 202600:13:21

A question about why I put so much of my work online for free, and my lengthy answer.

Episode 17: Why is it called "CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS"?31 Jan 202600:11:42

I answer why the title of my show has "CONNOR RATLIFF presents" at the front of it, when all of my other projects do NOT have that credit baked into the title?  A detailed answer to a very good question!

Somebody asked for examples of audience interviews at improv shows going badly, and this was my answer.

Ep 26: The Energy Of The Audience07 Feb 202600:10:43

Could this podcast transform/evolve into some other kind of podcast?  Maybe!

Ep 24: Favorite Ice Cream?07 Feb 202600:04:41

Do I have a favorite kind of ice cream?  Sort of.

Ep 23: What Kind Of Roles Do I Wanna Play?07 Feb 202600:10:35

Is there a particular kind of role I'd like to play?  I don't think I said this in the recorded answer, but one of the things that I like about doing improv and in particular about doing my one-person shows is that I don't need to wait to be cast in a particular type of role, I have the freedom to choose and create whatever characters I want to play, in every show.  Anyway, I should've said that in the episode but instead I talked about other things for 10 minutes!

Ep 22: A Word I Say Too Much07 Feb 202600:04:09

This is a question about something that annoys me about the way I talk when I hear it played back.

Ep 21: The BUZZ06 Feb 202600:06:53
Ep 20: Pre-show rituals06 Feb 202600:05:31
Ep 33: Happy Accidents19 Feb 202600:11:02

A question about some memorable "happy accidents" in shows.  I think I do a not-great job remembering things like this, and this episode is maybe the worst one yet!

Ep 32: Repeating myself?19 Feb 202600:07:10

A question about whether or not there are certain types of archetypal characters I return to again and again as an improviser.

Ep 31: a question about the film "Living In Missouri"18 Feb 202600:09:26

Apart from one or two references to it in episodes of Dead Eyes (the Rian Johnson/Holmes Osborne ep + a callback in the Tom Hanks episode), I don't really talk about this subject very often.  But somebody asked, so I answered.

Ep 30: Crafty18 Feb 202600:05:21

Why do they call craft services "Crafty"?  I don't know!  My guess is it is just an affectionate nickname?

A question about finding the balance between personal/family/home life & one's artistic pursuits

A question about whether my improv work gets in the way of doing scripted projects
