It picks up right after the events in the first book, and also acts as a way to bring multiple characters and arcs together in an even tighter way. This one is a throoowback. Watching this as a kid is a little different than watching it as an adult. As a kid, I saw a dude flying around in a super cool costume and bad guys a plenty trying to shoot him down and that was fun. As an adult, this one is very reminiscent of Iron Man (2008) but with the mob, old school planes, the mob, nazis and a dude flying around in a super cool costume.

The concept of this book is incredibly unique and it has a way of grabbing our interest on that alone. 'Bitch Planet' is the nickname given to a prison planet that was built to house disobedient females, away from Earth, which was controlled entirely by rich males in power. This story is about what goes down on that prison planet and some of the prisoners on it.

Do you know who Genndy Tartakovsky is? You better. The man has had his hand in many projects you probably loved, but this time, with this series 'Primal', he's outdone himself. What do you get when a T-Rex and a caveman form a bond over shared trauma? Well.. we don't use the word masterpiece loosely, but this series could be in the conversation. WE DID A COMIC BOOK FOR FIRST GLANCE AGAIN! A little over the top but we were probably excited. Now that that's out of the way, let's take a look at Crypt of Shadows #1, Marvel's comic book version of Treehouse of Horrors. We get stories centered around Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Deadpool, and Daredevil, with a bunch of other characters and cameos. Of course the themes and faces we see get us to start talking about other properties and what could come in the future.

We're gonna be honest with you here... This is a movie. A movie from 1984. A movie from 1984 where a guy is transformed by barrels of toxic waste into some hulking monster who can sense evildoers and proceeds to break, beat or melt them with his bare hands. He also wears a tutu.

If you like cheesy 80's action, flare and forced comedy, then boy oh boy do we have a movie for you!

The Maxx. What more can be said about this property. If you are not familiar with this comic (or cartoon) and you consider yourself a big comic guy (or gal), that title for you is debatable. Sam Kieth created something so unique, so interesting, so special here that you need to check this out. Not should; need.  Is it a superhero comic? Is it a trip? Is it confusing and charming and disgustingly beautiful? Yes to all of those things. Read this book. Watch the show. Our first 'First Glance' at something that isn't a comic book. In this case, it's Coke's first time watching the trailer for Sony's upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie and everything that it has going for it... Which isn't really all that much. Is this a reaction audio? Nahh, it's a FIRST GLANCE

Boy, did we ever looove the first volume of The Kill Lock; the story of four misfit robots who had been sentenced to a life linked together by a mark they wore. This mark meant that if one of them died, the would all die and forced the four of them - no matter how much they disliked each other - to exist together and closely. Now, after the events of the first volume (which we won't spoil here), we're back with the same group of four bots, that now have to pick up the pieces from the wild ending of last volume.

Usagi Yojimbo, the samurai rabbit, like you've never seen him before: in space! Talk about a fish out of water story, huh? Well it took a while but, sometimes those whiles are worth the wait. And it's almost safe to say Immortal Hulk is  that one of worth. We are gonna miss this chapter.  i am groot. 

Poised as a great jumping on point for this specific version of the Valiant universe, "The Valiant" does some of that for sure. It introduces us to characters like the Eternal Warrior, Bloodshot, Geomancer and Unity as well. It definitely doesn't cover everybody, and outside of the first three we mentioned here, not many get a long look, but still, the introduction is there.  As for the story, is it any good? Six Guns is indeed about six guns, but it's also a story about a collection of people uniting over a common enemy and a throwback to old western Marvel characters. Characters with dope names like Two Gun Kid who - guess what - has two guns.

This was an interesting one for us, because who (our age) doesn't love the Lion King?! And we do like our villains too, with Scar being one of the most charismatic ones. This is the first chapter of his backstory, but is it any good?

Across the Pages (AxP) is our series where we take two similar-ish characters/teams/properties from different creators or publishers and give their various forms of media a well-deserved spotlight.

Two men who have a close relationship with violence and revenge, but I guess losing everything will get you to that point faster than anything else. We look at the comparison's between the two and give a glimpse into their blood-red worlds. SHIRTLESS IS BACK, BABY!!

Maaannnnnn, the level of excitement for this was *real*. THE Shirtless Bear-Fighter comes back for a second volume. The first book was one of our favourite surprises while doing this show: it was hilarious and endlessly entertaining. So much so that it begs the question: was a sequel even necessary? Listen on in if you're curious to know if this sequel was more Godfather 2 or Boondock Saints 2... there is no in-between.

It's Saga time! For our 50th Arc Analysis episode, we wanted to do something big, and what's bigger than this space opera story??  It's Romeo and Juliet. It's Star Wars. It's Harry and the Henderson's. Okay, not so much that last one, but it does lean on a lot of family value themes and you know what else it is? Weird. It's really freakin' weird. But I guess that's what you get when you have two people falling in love from opposite sides of a galactic war, in a space where the royal family has TVs for heads. Enjoy volume 1!

As soon as this movie was revealed, we knew we had to see it. Drugs and animals?! What could go wrong?? The trailer looked fun, too! We walked into Cocaine Bear expecting maybe some sort of version of Sharknado or Zombeavers but that's not what we got.  With a decidedly higher budget and better talent than those historical films, Cocaine Bear *should* be a slam dunk for those who like crazy, silly movies, as long as it doesn't switch up tones 3 or 4 times during its runtime...
