It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 10, 2025. Beanpot. Boston. Battlestar Galactica. That’s right—it’s time for that savory hockey treat everyone loves on a Monday in February: the DUNKIN’ Men’s Beanpot. No analysis, no breakdowns—well, maybe a little today, but mostly the scores.
No. 9 Boston University claimed its 32nd Beanpot title with a 4-1 win over No. 1 Boston College at TD Garden. After trailing early, BU struck twice in 70 seconds with goals from freshmen Brandon Svoboda and Cole Hutson. Cole Eiserman added insurance in the third before Gavin McCarthy sealed it with an empty-netter. Mikhail Yegorov was stellar in net, stopping 43 shots to earn the Eberly Award.
Despite controlling the first period, BC led just 1-0 before BU’s second-period surge. Hutson’s game-winner earned him Beanpot MVP honors, while BU’s penalty kill shut down BC’s three power plays. The Terriers (16-10-1) now prepare for No. 7 Providence in a weekend home-and-home.
In the Third Place Game, Harvard buried four power-play goals, including two from Mason Langenbrunner, to edge Northeastern 4-3. The Crimson took over in the second period and locked down the win in the third.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 8-9, 2025. It’s Super Bowl Sunday, so here’s the rundown of Saturday’s games plus the two on Sunday, just before kickoff. Yes, I made it back from Little Rock, where there’s wrestling, but no hockey. You can’t win them all. As for the show. No analysis, no breakdowns. It’s just the scores.

No. 1 Michigan State made a statement with a 6-1 rout of No. 13 Michigan, salvaging a weekend split in a game that featured plenty of physicality. Isaac Howard netted his 22nd goal of the season in the victory. No. 4 Western Michigan kept its NCHC lead intact with a 6-1 win over St. Cloud State, outshooting the Huskies 38-26 as six different Broncos scored. 

No. 5 Maine stayed within two points of first-place Boston College in Hockey East with a 1-0 overtime win over No. 7 Providence, thanks to Taylor Makar’s 13th of the year. 

No. 12 Arizona State secured a weekend split against No. 6 Denver with a thrilling 6-5 overtime victory, as Bennett Schimek netted the OT-winner. The Sun Devils fired 55 shots on Denver goalie Matt Davis, but Sam Harris’ hat trick for the Pioneers wasn’t enough to avoid the loss. 

No. 9 Ohio State completed a dominant weekend over Notre Dame with another 5-1 win, as Gunnarwolfe Fontaine notched his 13th goal of the year. No. 11 UConn edged No. 10 UMass Lowell 5-4 in overtime behind two late goals from Hudson Schandor, including the game-winner. 

Clarkson stunned No. 14 Quinnipiac 3-2 in OT as Tristan Sarsland delivered the upset-winner. No. 15 Minnesota State stayed atop the CCHA with a crucial 2-1 win over No. 17 Augustana, with Rhett Pitlick and Fin Williams providing the offense. 

No. 16 North Dakota bounced back with a 3-1 win over No. 20 Colorado College in a chippy NCHC matchup, while Penn State swept No. 19 Wisconsin with a convincing 6-2 win in Madison, keeping the Nittany Lions in the tournament bubble conversation with a 7-2-3 record in 2025. 

Elsewhere in Atlantic Hockey, Air Force edged Canisius 3-2, American International took down Mercyhurst 4-1, Holy Cross blanked RIT 3-0, Bentley routed Robert Morris 6-0, and Army West Point defeated Sacred Heart 5-3. In the CCHA, Bemidji State edged Michigan Tech 6-5 in overtime, Northern Michigan topped Lake Superior State 3-2 in OT, and St. Thomas beat Bowling Green 2-1. In ECAC action, Colgate shut out RPI 4-0, St. Lawrence and Princeton finished tied at 4 before St. Lawrence claimed the shootout, Union took down Cornell 4-1, and Brown defeated Yale 5-1 on Sunday. Hockey East saw Merrimack slip past New Hampshire 5-4, while Omaha topped Minnesota-Duluth 5-2 in the NCHC. In the Governor’s Cup, Alaska and Alaska-Anchorage skated to a 3-3 tie before the Nanooks won the shootout to claim the trophy, the kind of chalice that wouldn’t look out of place in a speakeasy. 

On the women’s side, No. 1 Wisconsin dominated No. 3 Minnesota with an 8-2 win on Saturday, led by two goals each from Laila Edwards and Casey O’Brien, while Kirsten Simms recorded four assists. On Sunday, O’Brien added a goal and four assists as the Badgers cruised to a 6-1 victory, clinching the WCHA regular season title in the process. Edwards leads the nation with 28 goals, O’Brien tops the country with 67 points, and Simms is third with 54. 

No. 2 Ohio State used a four-goal second period to defeat St. Thomas 5-1, with Jocelyn Amos netting her 21st of the season and Joy Dunne adding her 19th. In the ECAC, No. 4 Cornell remained on top of the standings with a 2-1 win at Union, thanks to Karel Prefontaine’s game-winner with just over six minutes left. 

RPI stunned No. 5 Colgate 3-2 in overtime as Natalie Tulchinsky scored the game-winning goal, and the Engineers outshot the Raiders 40-25. No. 6 Minnesota-Duluth shut out Bemidji State 6-0 with six different goal scorers and a 13-save effort from Tindra Holm. No. 7 St. Lawrence edged No. 12 Princeton 3-2 behind two goals from Abby Hustler. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Mercyhurst snapped No. 8 Penn State’s 13-game win streak with a 3-2 victory at Pegula, as Vanessa Upson tallied the game-winner. Despite the loss, Penn State still clinched the Atlantic Hockey regular-season title with their 17-1 conference record. 

No. 10 Clarkson took down No. 9 Quinnipiac 3-1 with three different goal scorers. Minnesota State earned the extra WCHA point with a shootout win after a 2-2 tie against No. 11 St. Cloud State. 

No. 14 Boston University erupted for four third-period goals to beat Providence 4-1 despite being outshot 37-21, maintaining their one-point lead over UConn in the Hockey East standings. Vermont upset No. 15 Boston College 3-2, with McKenzie Cerrato scoring her first goal of the season as the game-winner. 

Elsewhere, RIT edged Lindenwood 4-3 in overtime, Syracuse handled Robert Morris 5-1, Brown shut out Dartmouth 4-0, Yale blanked Harvard 3-0, UConn slipped past Holy Cross 1-0, New Hampshire outlasted Merrimack 3-2, St. Anselm edged Assumption 4-3, LIU topped Franklin Pierce 2-1, Sacred Heart beat St. Michael’s 5-1, and Stonehill shut out Post 1-0.

Even though I’m not a hockey lifer, I find the Beanpot, mens or women’s, to be a cool event to watch. But you’re not here for my insight. You’re not even here for my beans, which as I mentioned last week, will go in my chili. There’s no breakdowns, no analysis, no recipes, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES.

Women's Beanpot
#15 Northeastern 4, Boston U. 0 
Lily Shannon scored her ninth goal of the season as Northeastern won its third straight Women's Beanpot by taking a 4-0 win over Boston U. at TD Garden. Lisa Jönsson earned her fifth shutout of the season, stopping 30 shots in net.

#12 Boston College 4, Harvard 1
In the third place game, No. 12 Boston College got goals from four different players, including the 13th goal of the season from Julia Pellerin to stop Harvard 4-1.

Men
Bentley 6, American International 1
Artem Bouzoverya scored twice as five different players scored, giving Bentley a 6-1 win over host AIC. The Falcons improved to 13-10-2 and closed within four points of conference leader Sacred Heart. AIC fell to 7-16-1 after their administration did them super dirty.

Brown 5, Merrimack 1
Dean Bauchiero scored twice and Max Scott scored his 11th of the season to lead Brown to a 5-1 win over Merrmiack in North Andover.

Stonehill 7, St. Anselm 0
Seven different players scored as Stonehill swarmed Division II St. Anselm 7-0. Got a Stonehill puck in the mail today too - shout out to Matt Nelson on the trade there.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for January 17-18, 2025. In case you’re wondering, another busy weekend for me on the mic - this time back with the frozen - and I DO MEAN FROZEN - landscape here in Minnesota. Game time temperature on Saturday was ZERO. So here’s the quick hits on what went down on Friday and Saturday. No breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

On the Men’s side
In the Big Ten, #10 Michigan edged #1 Michigan State 3-2 in overtime on Friday, but Michigan State bounced back with a 4-1 win on Saturday.  #3 Minnesota defeated Notre Dame 5-2 on Friday, but Notre Dame rebounded with a 4-3 overtime win Saturday. 

Michigan State leads the Big Ten with 32 points, one ahead of second-place Minnesota. Ohio State is eight points back of second with 23. 

In the NCHC, #4 Western Michigan topped #14 North Dakota at The Ralph in both games, 3-2 in overtime and 5-1. #13 Arizona State earned two wins over #15 St. Cloud State, 6-3 and 5-3. Colorado College split with Minnesota-Duluth, winning 7-2 before falling 4-1. 

Newcomer Arizona State leads with 25 points, one point ahead of second-place Western Michigan. The Broncos have played two less conference games. Omaha’s a point behind Western with 23. 

In Hockey East, #2 Boston College shut out #6 Providence 3-0 on Friday and completed the sweep with a 4-1 win on Saturday.  #17 UConn beat #5 Maine 4-2 Friday, but the teams tied 3-3 on Saturday, with Maine winning the shootout. #11 Boston University defeated #19 New Hampshire twice, 6-3 and 2-1 in overtime. 

BU, BC, Maine and UConn are all within four points of one another. BU, BC and Maine have played 13 conference games, while UConn’s played 15. BU leads with 28 points. BC and Maine are tied at 26. 

In the ECAC, #16 Quinnipiac beat Colgate 6-3 Friday, but Cornell tied Quinnipiac 2-2 Saturday, winning the shootout. Brown defeated #20 Clarkson 4-2 after a 3-2 overtime win against St. Lawrence. Dartmouth topped Union 4-0 Friday and RPI 5-3 Saturday, while Harvard split its weekend, falling 5-2 to RPI and topping Union 4-1.

Quinnipiac leads with 28 points, six ahead of second-place Dartmouth, which has two games in hand. Clarkson has three in hand and sits seven points back with Union, but Union’s only got one in hand. Might have to get you a proverb book or something.  

In the CCHA, Michigan Tech and #12 Minnesota State split with Tech winning 1-0 in overtime after a 5-2 loss Friday. Bowling Green and Ferris State also split with close victories for both. Northern Michigan’s won three of its last four after starting out 1-18-1 in the first 20 games of the Dave Shyiak era.  The Wildcats swept Bemidji State 4-1 and 3-1, while St. Thomas edged Lake Superior State with an overtime win on Friday and a tie and shootout win on Saturday.  

Since Augustana has basically half a conference schedule, the CCHA is using points percentage this year to determine its standings and right now, Minnesota State is standing just below 73 percent, ahead of second-place Augustana which is at the 66666 repeating. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Sacred Heart swept American International, 5-2 and 6-3. Army West Point defeated Air Force twice, 3-2 and 4-3. Holy Cross won both games against Bentley, 3-2 in overtime and 5-1. Mercyhurst and Niagara split their series, with Mercyhurst winning 5-1 before falling 6-3. 

Sacred Heart is out in front with 41 points, seven ahead of second-place Bentley, which has two games in hand. 

In non-conference action, Penn State swept Canisius with wins of 4-0 and 3-2. Alaska-Anchorage and Alaska tied 3-3 Saturday, with UAA taking the shootout in the Governor’s Cup. Alaska Test Represent, Anchorage version. Wisconsin earned a 6-3 win over LIU Friday, followed by a 2-2 tie and a shootout win Saturday.


In women’s action: 
#1 Wisconsin dominated St. Thomas with a 6-1 win before an even more commanding 11-1 victory. #2 Ohio State defeated #4 Minnesota-Duluth twice, 3-1 and 2-1, while #3 Minnesota earned back-to-back wins over Minnesota State, 8-3 and 5-2. 

Wisconsin’s light years ahead of the field, leading the WCHA with 55 points. Minnesota and Ohio State are tied with 39 points, but Minnesota has two games in hand. Minnesota-Duluth is fourth in the conference, fourth in the nation and fifth in the pairwise.

In the ECAC, #5 Colgate beat #10 Quinnipiac 4-2 and later shut out #13 Princeton 4-0. #6 Cornell posted a pair of strong victories, defeating #13 Princeton 6-1 and #10 Quinnipiac 4-1. Yale upset #7 Clarkson 2-1, while Brown edged out #8 St. Lawrence 4-3 and later topped #7 Clarkson 3-2 in overtime. #8 St. Lawrence bounced back with a 1-0 shutout over Yale. 

Colgate and Cornell are tied atop the ECAC with 33 points each, St. Lawrence is a half-point behind in third. All three teams are in the top eight in the pairwise. 

In the Atlantic Hockey America, #9 Penn State edged Syracuse 1-0 in overtime and followed with a 4-0 win. Mercyhurst earned two wins over Lindenwood, 3-1 and 5-2. RIT shut out Robert Morris 2-0, but Robert Morris rebounded with a thrilling 5-4 overtime win. 

Penn State’s firmly in command with 33 points, nine points ahead of second-place Mercyhurst.

In Hockey East, #12 Boston College blanked Vermont 3-0. Maine and #15 UConn tied 2-2, with Maine winning the shootout, while #15 UConn returned to take a 3-0 win on Saturday. Providence defeated #15 Northeastern twice, 5-1 and 3-2. New Hampshire upset #14 Boston U. 2-0. 

Boston College and UConn sit atop of Hockey East with 37 points, with Boston U. one point behind but with a game-in-hand. Northeastern is fourth, four points behind BU. Boston College sits ninth in the pairwise, while the rest of Hockey East is currently outside of the cutline.

In the NEWHA, LIU beat Assumption twice, 3-1 and 2-1. St. Anselm beat St. Michael’s 3-1 before losing 2-1 on Saturday. Stonehill tied Sacred Heart 3-3, winning in the shootout, and then shut them out 3-0. 

LIU and Sacred Heart are tied atop the NEWHA with 36 points. Franklin Pierce is third with 33 points. NEWHA will be a one-bid league this year again. 

Since Mike McMahon handles the men’s pairwise breakdowns in his newsletter on Mondays, I won’t go that route, but since there isn’t a regular feature on that for the women, here’s my attempt.

Current cutline is 10 as Penn State out of Atlantic Hockey America sits seventh. To borrow Mike McMahon’s methodology, the WCHA would have four of the 11 teams - Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota and Minnesota-Duluth, assuming one of the four there is the conference tournament winner. Give the AQ’s to Penn State out of Atlantic Hockey and Boston College out of Hockey East, despite that race being wide open. The ECAC has four - Cornell, Colgate, St. Lawrence and Quinnipiac. The 11th spot would go to the NEWHA winner.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for January 14, 2025. I made chili today, there were plenty of beans, even though some people will sit there and insist chili shouldn’t have beans. No one asked you. Speaking of beans, it’s the Women’s Beanpot and that’s where we’ll go first. As always, you don’t come to me for breakdowns or analysis, I got what you crave. JUST. THE. SCORES. 

Women’s Beanpot
#15 Northeastern 4, #12 Boston College 2
No. 15 Northeastern jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period and took out No. 12 Boston College 4-2 to advance to next week’s Women’s Beanpot finals. Lily Shannon scored her eighth of the year for the Huskies, who improved to 14-6-1 on the season.

#14 Boston U. 2, Harvard 1, OT
Lindsay Bochna’s fifth of the year came in overtime as No. 14 Boston U. advanced to face Northeastern with a 2-1 win over Harvard. Harvard went up 1-0 early in the third, but Sydney Healey’s extra attacker goal with under a minute left gave the Terriers life. Bochna finished off the Crimson with just over a minute left in the extra frame.

The other game on the docket saw #6 Cornell explode for five straight goals after falling behind 2-0, including three to start the third period in a 6-3 win over Syracuse. Lindzi Avar scored her eighth of the year, while Karel Prefontaine netted her sixth of the year. Syracuse’s Bryn Saarela scored her 13th of the season for the Orange.

Men’s NOT Beanpot
#2 Boston College 3, Harvard 1
In not-yet-Beanpot action in Chestnut Hill, No. 2 Boston College improved to 14-4-1 with a 3-1 win at Conte over Harvard. Teddy “USA” Stiga, Will Vote, and Brady Berard each scored for the Eagles.

Robert Morris vs. Canisius
This one was postponed due to severe winter weather. See, when I hear severe winter weather and it’s Western PA, then I believe it. Not like this chrud we had in Virginia last week. And when I say chrud, I don’t mean the statistical measure by the Husky Hockey Podcast. I mean crappy weather, which is something we know a little bit about here in Minnesota. Donchaknow.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for January 10-12, 2025. No, I’m not a slacker - this show’s more a hobby. There’s that other sport that involves cauliflower ear that’s my actual main job, so I was on the road doing things for that wrestling stuff back in my home state of Virginia where school systems pulled high school teams out of competition for what amounted to be a dusting of snow. That’s just soft. Not like here, where my wife shoveled the driveway AFTER putting the kids on the bus in the snow.  It’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. And this time - I really just mean ONLY the scores.


Men’s Weekend Recap:
In the Big Ten, #1 Michigan State took four of six points in its weekend series with Penn State, winning 6-4 on Friday before falling in a shootout after a 2-2 tie on Saturday. #3 Minnesota had a split weekend, losing 5-1 to #11 Ohio State on Friday but bouncing back with a dominant 6-1 win on Saturday. In Hockey East, #2 Boston College was upset 5-2 by Merrimack on Friday but rebounded with a 4-1 win on Saturday. #7 Maine swept #8 UMass Lowell, winning 3-1 and 2-1. #15 Boston University handled Vermont with a pair of decisive wins, 6-1 and 7-4. In the NCHC, #6 Denver swept Miami, taking 4-1 and 6-2 victories, while Minnesota-Duluth topped #10 St. Cloud State, winning 2-0 and 5-2. Omaha swept #13 Colorado College with scores of 5-2 and 3-1, and #14 North Dakota split their series with #16 Arizona State, losing 4-1 on Friday but claiming a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday.

No, I’m not going to play the semantics games with the differences in what a split is. So if you hear me say split, and it’s like a win and an OT win, don’t put too much thought into it - I clearly didn’t. I also think the USCHO voters might need to look at the NCHC teams a little bit differently after recent slides. Moving on.

In the ECAC, #19 Clarkson topped Union 5-3 on Friday, but RPI flipped the script with a 4-1 upset of Clarkson on Saturday. #20 Quinnipiac defeated Princeton 4-2 and 3-0. Harvard had a strong weekend, beating Brown 3-1 and Yale 3-1. Dartmouth defeated Yale 3-2 on Friday before routing Brown 5-2 on Saturday. 

In the CCHA, Northern Michigan upset #12 Minnesota State 3-2 on Friday, but Minnesota State stormed back for a 6-1 win on Saturday. Bowling Green split with Bemidji State, winning 4-3 on Friday before falling in a shootout after a 4-4 tie on Saturday. St. Thomas swept Ferris State in high-scoring affairs, 9-6 and 4-3. Michigan Tech split with Lake Superior State, losing 4-2 on Friday but bouncing back with a 1-0 shutout on Saturday.

In Atlantic Hockey, Army West Point dominated Mercyhurst, winning 9-1 on Friday and 13-1 on Saturday. Canisius swept RIT with 5-2 wins both nights. Air Force rebounded from a 1-0 loss to Bentley on Friday with a 4-1 win on Saturday. Holy Cross split with Robert Morris, winning 4-1 on Friday and claiming a shootout after a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Sacred Heart split with #18 Cornell, drawing 1-1 on Friday before earning a 4-2 win on Saturday. In non-conference play, Alaska swept Simon Fraser in exhibition games, winning 2-1 in overtime on Friday and 6-3 on Saturday. Colgate swept LIU, winning 2-1 and 3-1, while Stonehill split with Lindenwood, losing 3-0 on Friday but winning 3-2 on Saturday. Niagara beat Alaska-Anchorage 6-2 on Friday but lost 3-1 on Saturday.

Women’s Weekend Recap:
In the WCHA, #1 Wisconsin swept Minnesota State, winning 6-2 on Saturday and 3-1 on Sunday. #2 Ohio State shut out Bemidji State twice, 6-0 on Friday, and 4-0 on Saturday, while #3 Minnesota handled St. Thomas with a 4-2 win on Friday and a 5-1 victory on Saturday. #4 Minnesota-Duluth also swept #10 St. Cloud State, earning back-to-back 3-0 wins.

In the ECAC, #5 Colgate and #6 Cornell split their weekend series. Cornell won 2-1 on Friday, but Colgate responded with a 5-2 victory on Saturday. #7 Clarkson had a dominant weekend, defeating RPI 8-3 on Friday and blanking Union 4-0 on Saturday. #8 St. Lawrence also swept, beating Union 4-2 and RPI 2-0. #14 Princeton had a strong start with a 3-1 win over #9 Quinnipiac on Friday but fell to Yale 2-1 in overtime on Saturday.

In Hockey East, #13 Boston University edged Vermont 2-1 on Friday but was upset 3-2 by Vermont on Saturday. Providence swept Holy Cross, winning 3-1 and 1-0. New Hampshire swept Merrimack with wins of 5-3 and 3-2.

In the AHA, #11 Penn State swept RIT with wins of 3-0 and 3-2. Mercyhurst swept Syracuse, winning 2-1 and 4-2. Robert Morris had a strong showing against Lindenwood, earning a shootout win after a 3-3 tie on Friday and a 3-0 victory on Saturday.

In NEWHA play, Franklin Pierce swept Assumption with 3-1 and 2-1 wins. Sacred Heart split with St. Anselm, winning 3-2 on Friday but losing in a shootout after a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Post split with St. Michael’s, losing 3-1 on Friday but winning 3-2 on Saturday. Stonehill swept LIU, winning 2-0 and 2-1. In non-conference action, Maine defeated Harvard 3-2 in overtime on Friday.

On the men’s side, No. 5 Providence used two third-period goals to claim a 2-0 Mayor’s Cup win over cross-town rival Brown. 

Logan Will and Hudson Malinoski scored for the Friars, who now sit at 15-3-2. 

In Atlantic Hockey, American International erupted for eight goals in an 8-2 win over Army West Point in Springfield - the home of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the place formerly known as Rockin’ Rollin’ Riverside - I spent a summer up there in 1992. I never went to either place.

That summer sucked. 

What didn’t suck was Justin Mexico’s stat line -  he had a standout performance with two goals and three assists, while Oscar Geschwind also netted two goals for the Yellowjackets. 

In Hockey East women’s action, No. 12 Boston College defeated New Hampshire 4-0, with four different players scoring, including Julia Pellerin, who netted her 11th goal of the season. The win gave Boston College a one-point lead in the Hockey East standings. Grace Campbell was stellar in net, stopping 31 shots for her third shutout of the year and second in a row. 

In non-conference action, Northeastern secured a 4-3 victory over Yale at Matthews Arena. Jules Constantinople scored twice, and Lily Shannon added her seventh goal of the year. Northeastern improved to 13-6-1 on the season.

Boston College’s Teddy Stiga scored the game-winner in overtime to lead TEAM USA to the World Junior Championship as the United States rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat Finland 4-3 in the gold medal game, avenging and earlier loss in the tournament and giving Team USA back-to-back world championships. 

Denver’s Zeev Buium and Minnesota’s Brodie Ziemer with the assists. 

Other goals scored for Team USA were Boston College’s Cole Hutson and James Hagens and Boston University’s Brandon Svoboda. 

Let’s do it again here in the Twin Cities next year.   

Six games in college puck to close out the weekend, we’ll start with the men. 

No. 9 Michigan rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat No. 13 Ohio State 3-2 in overtime at Yost Arena, splitting the series that began at Wrigley Field. Jackson Hallum scored the OT winner just 20 seconds in, while Gunnarwolfe Fontaine added two goals for the Buckeyes, giving him nine on the season. Remember, when Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scores, we all score. 

Merrimack upended No. 17 Dartmouth 2-1, with Ty Daneault and Antonio Venuto scoring for the Warriors in a result that may hurt the Big Green’s tournament chances. Finally, Charlie Cerrato’s two goals led Penn State to a 3-0 shutout win over Notre Dame in South Bend. 

In women’s action, Julia Pellerin recorded a hat trick to bring her season total to 10 goals as No. 11 Boston College defeated Maine 5-0 in Hockey East, pulling the Eagles within two points of conference leaders UConn and BU. Speaking of the leaders, No. 15 UConn stayed on top with a 3-1 win over Vermont, thanks to a pair of goals from Claire Murdoch. 

Mercyhurst cruised past St. Michael’s 6-0, with Vanessa Upson scoring twice as the Lakers dominated, outshooting the Purple Knights 67-10.

Five different players scored including Jimmy Snuggerud who picked up his 11th goal of the year as No. 3 Minnesota skated by Mercyhurst 5-2 at Mariucci.

#5 Western Michigan 5, Alaska-Anchorage 2
Liam Valente and Owen Michaels each scored twice as fifth-ranked Western Michigan picked up a home sweep over Alaska-Anchorage. Western improves to 13-4-1. 

#7 Maine 2, #6 Denver 1
David Breazeale picked up the game-winner five minutes into the third period as seventh-ranked Maine earned a home split with a 2-1 win against No. 6 Denver. Harrison Scott scored his 13th of the year as well for the Black Bears. 

Augustana 3, #8 Colorado College 2
Augustana went into Colorado Springs and swept the eighth-ranked Colorado College Tigers, capping the weekend with a 3-2 win on Saturday. Nace Langus scored the game-winner for Augie with 90 seconds left. That's a pairwise bomb for CC. 

Desert Hockey Classic
#19 Arizona State 4, #16 Cornell 0
Four different players scored as Arizona State picked up the title at its own Desert Hockey Classic with a solid 4-0 win over No.16 Cornell. Gibson Homer had 34 saves in the shutout for the Sun Devils.

Scott Truman scored twice to lead No. 10 UMass Lowell to the championship at the Coachella Valley Cactus Cup in Palm Springs.

Logan Morrell scored his ninth of the year with an overtime game-winner to lift Michigan Tech to a 4-3 win over Holy Cross in the third place game at the Coachella Valley Cactus Cup.

Broten Sabo scored in overtime to lift Alaska to a 2-1 win over host Minnesota-Duluth. UMD outshot Alaska 40-10, but the Spacebears pick up the W shooting 10 percent.

Wisconsin's win streak came to an end at Wrigley Field as the top-ranked Badgers and second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes skated to a 3-3 tie at the Frozen Confines. Ohio State got the extra point after taking the shootout. Wisconsin does still hold an unbeaten streak and it’s currently at eight games without a loss. 

#5 Colgate 4, #6 Clarkson 2
Emma Pais scored twice including the game-winner as Colgate jumped to the top of the ECAC standings with a 4-2 win over Clarkson. Kaia Malachino scored her 13th of the year for the Raiders. Colgate is now tied with Cornell at the top of the league. 

#7 Cornell 2, #10 St. Lawrence 2 (Cornell wins SO)
Cornell picked up the extra point in the ECAC after taking a shootout over St. Lawrence after the two teams skated to a 2-2 tie. 

#12 Penn State 6, #3 Minnesota 2
No. 12 Penn State beat No. 3 Minnesota for the first time in program history as the Nittany Lions jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back at Ridder Arena. Minnesota native Stella Retrum scored twice for the Nittany Lions and Tessa Janecke scored her 16th of the year and Maddy Christian her 15th for Penn State. The Nittany Lions are now 17-4-1.

#14 Princeton 5, Union 2
Sarah Paul scored two more to give her 19 on the year, tying her for second in the nation as No. 14 Princeton beat Union 5-2. 

#9 Quinnipiac 4, RPI 0
Kahlen Lamarche scored twice for No. 9 Quinnipiac as the Bobcats shutout RPI 4-0. Felicia Frank stopped 22 shots for her fourth shutout of the year.

Dartmouth 1, Harvard 1 (Dartmouth wins SO)
That's two wins in a row and now an extra point after a tie and a win in the shootout for Dartmouth. Cue Lou Brown. 

Bemidji State 5, Brown 4
Bemidji State rallied from a 4-1 deficit to rally past Brown 5-4 in Minneapolis. Hailey Armstrong scored twice in the third period to power the Beavers. It's the largest comeback victory in program history.

Tyler and Hayden Hennen each scored as Augustana went into Robson Arena and picked of No. 8 Colorado College 5-1. Augie added a pair of empty netters in the last two minutes to make it look worse than it actually was.

In Atlantic Hockey, Sacred Heart shut out Air Force 3-0, while Niagara edged Bentley 3-2 in overtime. In the CCHA, Bowling Green blanked Lake Superior State 3-0. Over in the ECAC, RPI topped Yale 5-3, and Union defeated Brown 3-1. In non-conference play, American International beat Stonehill 3-1, LIU exploded for a 10-1 win over Assumption, and Merrimack handled Army West Point 5-2. New Hampshire secured a 3-0 victory over Princeton, while St. Thomas needed overtime to defeat Lindenwood 3-2. Minnesota-Duluth and Alaska played to a 2-2 tie, with UMD winning in the shootout. In exhibition action, Bemidji State cruised to a 5-0 victory over Manitoba.

#3 Minnesota 9, Brown 1
Josefin Bouveng and Natalie Mlynkova each scored twice as No. 3 Minnesota jumped out to a 5-0 lead and cruised past Brown 9-1 in the East/West Classic hosted in Minneapolis at Ridder Arena.

#12 Penn State 6, Bemidji State 4
In Minneapolis, No. 12 Penn State rallied from a 3-1 deficit to score five goals in the second and third period to escape with a 6-4 win over Bemidji State in the opening game of the East/West Classic. Grace Outwater scored twice, giving her 10 goals on the season, while Tessa Janecke scored her 15th of the season.

#4 Minnesota-Duluth 2, Syracuse 1
Caitlin Kraemer's game winner came three minutes into the third period as No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth swept the make-up series with Syracuse after a 2-1 win at AMSOIL on Friday. Clara Van Wieren scored her 11th of the year for the Bulldogs, who improved to 13-5-2 after outshooting the Orange 56-17.

#10 St. Lawrence 3, #5 Colgate 2
Taylor Lum scored twice as No. 10 St. Lawrence topped No. 5 Colgate 3-2. We've got all sorts of bunched-up teams in the ECAC. 

#7 Cornell 3, #6 Clarkson 0
No. 7 Cornell maintained control of first place in the ECAC with a 3-0 win over No. 6 Clarkson. The Big Red got goals from three different players to improve to 10-3-2 and they sit atop of the conference with 22.5 points, a point and a half ahead of Colgate and St. Lawrence and 3.5 ahead of Clarkson and Quinnipiac.

#9 Quinnipiac 9, Union 1
Jenna Donahue and Maya Labad each scored a pair of goals as No. 9 Quinnipiac steamrolled Union 9-1.

#15 UConn 1, #11 Boston College 1 (UConn wins SO)
No. 15 UConn gets the extra point with the tie and the shootout win over No. 11 Boston College. 

#13 Boston U. 3, Holy Cross 0
Callie Shanahan with 15 saves in goal for No. 13 Boston University, giving her a third shutout of the year. BU beat Holy Cross 3-0. The Terriers still lead Hockey East by three points over UConn.

Issy Wunder scored her 18th of the season and Sarah Paul picked up her 17th as No. 14 Princeton beat RPI 7-2.

Dartmouth 3, Harvard 2
After losing 14 straight games to open the season, the Big Green have themselves a winning streak as Dartmouth topped Harvard 3-2 in overtime with the game-winner scored by Lauren Messier. 

Elsewhere
In Hockey East women’s action, Maine topped New Hampshire 4-1, while Northeastern secured a 3-1 victory over Merrimack. Providence defeated Vermont 5-3 to round out the conference matchups. In non-conference play, Minnesota State dominated Lindenwood 8-1, RIT cruised past Post 4-1, and Yale overwhelmed Robert Morris with an 8-1 win.

Women No. 1 Wisconsin 6, No. 2 Ohio State 0
The drama between the two top-ranked teams in the nation … wasn’t. No. 1 Wisconsin scored quickly to set the tone and dominated second-ranked Ohio State 6-0 to improve to 20-1 on the season. The Badgers got a pair of goals from Lacey Eden and Laila Edwards scored her 19th of the season. Edwards is second in the nation in goals scored and total point. She’s got 40 on the season, five behind national leader and teammate Casey O’Brien, who’s got 45. The Badgers outshot the Buckeyes 36-18 and Ava McNaughton picked up her seventh shutout of the season for Wisconsin. They’ll do it again on Saturday at Wrigley Field for the Frozen Confines outdoor game.
 
No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth 6, Syracuse 2
Olivia Wallin scored twice and Clara Van Wieren scored her 10th of the season as No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth topped Syracuse 6-2 in the first game of a two-game set that was rescheduled from the opening weekend of the season.
 
Men No. 1 Michigan State 4, Wisconsin 3
Isaac Howard scored for the fourth game in a row for his 12th goal of the season helping lead No. 1 Michigan State past visiting Wisconsin 4-3 on Thursday at Munn. Wisconsin jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but three straight goals by Karsen Dorwart, Howard and Charlie Stramel pushed the Spartans to 16-2-1. 

World Juniors
I alluded to the point there wouldn’t be much on World Juniors except some pertinent results, so here’s some pertinent results. Team USA moved into the semifinals after a 7-2 win over Switzerland. The U.S. jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first and cruised. Boston College’s Ryan Leonard and James Hagens each scored twice and Eagles teammate Gabe Perrault dished out three assists to lead the Americans. 

Canada on the other hand, had just one NCAA player, Maine forward Bradly Nadeau, and he scored, but it was Czechia that bounced the neighbors to the north 4-3 to advance to face Team USA in the semifinals. It’ll be Sweden vs. Finland in the other semi.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 31, 2024. Happy New Year folks. Three games, two men, one on the women’s side. You know the deal by now, we’re rolling into 2025 with JUST. THE. SCORES. 

On the women’s side, Lily Delianedis scored her sixth of the season and McKenna Van Gelder scored her fifth of the year as No. 7 Cornell improved to 9-3-2 with a 5-1 win over host RIT.

Carter Rapalje scored twice to give him eight goals on the season as LIU topped Holy Cross 3-1 in a New Year's Eve matinée on Long Island. 

Four different players scored including Jason Shaugabay's sixth of the year as Minnesota-Duluth snapped a four-game skid with a 4-2 win against host Bemidji State. This splits the home-and-home series with the Minnesota schools that began 86 days ago.

That’s … not quite it. It’s not college, but why not, here’s what happened at the World Juniors.

In Group A, The U.S. beat Canada 4-1 with goals scored by Boston College’s Ryan Leonard, Boston University’s Cole Eiserman and Cole Hutson and Notre Dame’s Danny Nelson. 

Finland beat Latvia 3-0, while in Group B, Switzerland beat Kazakhstan 3-1 and Sweden beat Czechia 4-2.

We begin with the men where top-ranked Boston College extended its winning streak to nine games with a 4-2 victory over New Hampshire, getting goals from four different players. No. 13 Michigan stunned second-ranked Michigan State as Garrett Shifsky’s 10th of the year came with under a minute to go, lifting the Wolverines to a 2-1 win. 

Fourth-ranked Western Michigan rolled past St. Cloud State 4-0, fueled by a hat trick from Tristan Lemyre, who doubled his season goal total in the process, while Cameron Rowe stopped 24 shots in the shutout. Fifth-ranked Maine battled back twice in the third period to force overtime against No. 7 Providence before skating to a 3-3 tie, though the Black Bears secured the extra point in the shootout. 

No. 6 Denver survived a wild one in Tempe, edging No. 12 Arizona State 5-4 in overtime as Aiden Thompson buried the game-winner from the left hash for his second goal of the night. Merrimack pulled off an upset over No. 8 Boston University with Caelan Fitzpatrick netting the overtime game-winner in a 2-1 thriller. 

Ninth-ranked Ohio State erupted for five unanswered goals to dominate Notre Dame 5-1, with Ryan Gordon scoring twice. Vermont took down No. 10 UMass Lowell 5-3 behind a four-goal second period and a two-goal night from Timofei Spitserov. No. 20 Colorado College shocked No. 16 North Dakota in Grand Forks, scoring four times in the third period for a 6-4 win, with Klavs Veinbergs leading the charge with a pair of goals. 

No. 15 Minnesota State jumped ahead of Augustana on the scoreboard and in the CCHA standings with a 4-1 win over No. 17 Augustana behind goals from four different players. 

No. 18 UMass took down No. 11 UConn 5-4, highlighted by a hat trick from Jack Musa. No. 14 Quinnipiac cruised past St. Lawrence 6-1, while Penn State blanked No. 19 Wisconsin 2-0 in Big Ten action. 

Elsewhere, Air Force topped Canisius 5-3, American International shut out Mercyhurst 5-0, and Holy Cross dismantled RIT 9-2. Bentley edged Robert Morris 1-0, and Army West Point and Sacred Heart finished in a 2-2 tie before Army claimed the shootout win. In the CCHA, Bemidji State downed Michigan Tech 5-3, Lake Superior State edged Northern Michigan 3-2, and Bowling Green handled St. Thomas 4-1. ECAC action saw Clarkson defeat Princeton 4-1, Dartmouth get past Harvard 3-2, Cornell beat RPI 4-2, and Union and Colgate finish in a 2-2 draw with Union taking the shootout win. Omaha picked up a 4-1 win over Minnesota-Duluth in the NCHC, and in non-conference play, LIU edged Lindenwood 3-2. 

To the women! 
Second-ranked Ohio State pulled off a dramatic comeback, erasing a 4-2 deficit with three straight goals, including an extra attacker tally in the final 40 seconds, before Joy Dunne netted the game-winner just 69 seconds into overtime for a 5-4 win over St. Thomas. In the ECAC, No. 4 Cornell remained on top with a 4-0 shutout over RPI, while No. 5 Colgate kept pace as Emma Pais’ 15th of the season lifted the Raiders to a 2-1 victory over Union. 

Sixth-ranked Minnesota-Duluth blanked Bemidji State 2-0 behind a pair of goals from Caitlin Kraemer. No. 8 Penn State extended its winning streak to 13 games after Lydia Lobdell’s overtime goal secured a 4-3 victory over Mercyhurst, putting the Nittany Lions one win away from tying their program record for wins in a season. 

No. 7 St. Lawrence kept its ECAC championship hopes alive, edging No. 9 Quinnipiac 2-1 to sit seven points back of Cornell in the standings. No. 10 Clarkson and No. 12 Princeton finished in a 2-2 tie, but yeah, the ECAC does that 1.5 points thing, so no extra credit for the shootout win. 

No. 11 St. Cloud State grabbed a 3-1 road win over Minnesota State with Emma Gentry netting her eighth of the season. In Hockey East, Maine pulled off a 2-0 upset over No. 13 Northeastern with goals from Lily Fetch and Stephanie Jacob—looks like Lily is trying to m ake … fetch … happen. UConn upended No. 14 Boston University 4-1 behind Claire Murdoch’s 13th of the year. 

Elsewhere, RIT took down Lindenwood 4-1, Syracuse handled Robert Morris by the same score, Yale topped Dartmouth 5-2, and Brown defeated Harvard 3-1. Providence slipped past Holy Cross 3-2, LIU edged Franklin Pierce 3-2, and Stonehill rolled to a 5-2 win over Post. Assumption blanked St. Anselm 2-0, while St. Michael’s picked up a 3-1 win against Sacred Heart.

At the Great Lakes Invitational, No. 1 Michigan State defeated No. 4 Western Michigan 3-1 in the finals with Isaac Howard scoring his 11th goal of the season and contributions from Tiernan Shoudy and Joey Larson as the Spartans improved to 15-2-1. In the third-place game, Logan Morrell’s eighth goal of the season in overtime lifted Michigan Tech to a 4-3 win over Northern Michigan, with Tech improving to 10-6-1 as Northern’s struggles continued, dropping their eighth straight to fall to 1-18-1.
 
In exhibition play, Zach Kranjik scored twice to lead No. 12 Minnesota State to a 6-1 win over the Bisons, with an S, from Manitoba while Niagara saw five different players score in a 5-2 exhibition win over Guelph from north of the border in Ontario. They’re the Gryphons, spelled G-R-Y-P-H-O-N-S.

In non-conference women’s action, Sydney Vandenberg and Bridget Pringle each scored their first goals of the season as Dartmouth earned its first win of the year, a 2-1 victory over New Hampshire on Monday. The win snapped Dartmouth’s 14-game losing streak to start the season, while New Hampshire dropped to 10-9-1.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 29, 2024. We’ve got some major upsets on Sunday with pairwise bombs hanging around Hockey East. The year is coming to a close, but here, you won’t find any breakdowns, any analysis, it’s just your dose of what you need to know - the scores. JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We start with the Rolls Royce of upsets on Sunday - Bentley stunned No. 4 Maine 4-2 at the Alfond, with four different players scoring and delivering Hockey East’s first Pairwise bomb of the night. Maine now sits at 1-3 all-time against the Falcons. 

No. 12 St. Cloud State completed a home-and-home sweep of St. Thomas with Barrett Hall’s late game-winner securing a 2-1 victory, completing a home-and-home series sweep that started 84 days ago. 

Yale delivered the other pairwise bomb, defeating No. 13 Boston University 7-5 in New Haven behind two goals from David Chen, marking just the Bulldogs’ third win of the season. BU dropped to 9-7-1. 

Jeremy Wilmer’s late game-winner helped No. 18 Quinnipiac edge AIC 6-5. 

At the Ledyard Bank Classic, No. 7 Providence topped No. 17 Dartmouth 5-3 in the finals with Logan Will and Graham Gamache each scoring their sixth of the year, while Cam Lund’s ninth of the season in overtime lifted Northeastern to a 4-3 win over Alaska-Anchorage in the third-place game. 

In the Kwik Trip Holiday Faceoff, Wisconsin edged UConn 4-3 in the championship game thanks to a somewhat controversial empty-net goal by Cody Laskosky (luh-SKAW-skee), and Alaska defeated Ferris State 4-1 in the third-place game with Chase Dafoe scoring his fifth of the year. 

At the Great Lakes Invitational, No. 1 Michigan State blanked Northern Michigan 2-0 with Isaac Howard scoring his 10th of the year and Luca Di Pasquo making 15 saves in the sted of primary goaltender Trey Augustine, who’s with Team USA at World Juniors. No. 6 Western Michigan beat Michigan Tech 4-3 in overtime on Tim Washe’s goal just 44 seconds into the extra frame, setting up a Michigan State-Western Michigan tussle in Grand Rapids. 

Elsewhere, Brown’s Max Scott scored his fifth of the year and Lawton Zacher made 43 saves in a 3-0 win over LIU despite being outshot 43-20. 

Ryan O’Hara’s first goal of the season proved the difference as Bowling Green edged RIT 2-1. 

Vermont cruised past Army West Point 6-0 with six different players scoring and Alex Mangbo making 25 saves for the shutout. In exhibition play, No. 8 Colorado College slapped UNLV’s club team 8-0, No. 19 Arizona State edged the USNTDP 1-0, Concordia (Que.) stung No. 20 Clarkson 5-1, and Omaha shut out Manitoba 5-0.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 28, 2024. Welcome back from the holiday layoff. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, we’re back to the show here in the Speakeasy. As always, there’s no analysis, no breakdowns. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

The college hockey world fired right back up on Saturday with a couple of tournaments, some non-conference games and a few exhibitions. Normally, we’d leave the exhibitions with no real details because they don’t count. 

Oh that’s NOT going to happen tonight. Why? It was a wild and I mean WILD 6-6 tie with No. 5 Denver and the club team from UNLV with the visiting Rebels taking a shootout 1-0 at Magness Arena in front of a pretty full crowd that included my high school classmate and Jeopardy alum Ryan Hall. Probably the only other guy in the world I could walk past and yell “Anteaters” and he’d reply “UC Irvine.” 

Anyway … Preston Brodziak scored twice and while it was an exhibition and a tie, no one tell UNLV that shootout win didn't matter.  What made this fun to watch was you could see the comeback happening - Denver rallied from 5-1 in the third to tie it and force OT. UNLV goaltender Jeremy Forman, a grad student who played IN FOUR career games in four seasons at New Hampshire, gave up 6 goals but also made 58 saves. Is this the death of Lord Farquad? It’s surely going to revive fans on the internet adding points to shootout wins. It’s an exhibition, it doesn’t count, but man, it was fun to watch.

At the Kwik Trip Holiday Faceoff in Milwaukee, Jake Percival scored his eighth goal of the season to lead UConn to a 4-1 win over Alaska, with UConn jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. In the other game in Milwaukee, Wisconsin dominated Ferris State 8-0, with four different players scoring two goals each, setting up the Sunday final against UConn. 

At the Ledyard Bank Classic in New Hampshire, No. 17 Dartmouth rallied three times to edge Alaska-Anchorage 5-4, with five different scorers for the Big Green, including Hayden Stavroff’s seventh of the season, while Ryan Johnson notched his ninth goal in the loss for the Seawolves. 

No. 7 Providence beat Northeastern 3-1, with Tanner Adams scoring his ninth of the year, setting up a Sunday final against Dartmouth. 

In Atlantic Hockey action, Reid Pabich and Max Dorrington each scored their seventh goals of the season as Sacred Heart cruised past American International 4-1 to improve to 10-7-3. 

In non-conference play, Liam Devlin’s two goals and two assists powered New Hampshire to a 7-4 win at RPI, while Princeton edged Army West Point 1-0 behind Jake Manfre’s first-period power-play goal and a 24-save shutout by Arthur Smith. 

In other exhibition action, Aydar Suniev recorded a hat trick as UMass (Flagship!) scored twice in the third period to secure a 4-3 win over Simon Fraser … of the aforementioned ACHA. Finally, No. 19 Arizona State edged the USNTDP 4-3 in Tempe with third-period goals from Bennett Schimek and Benji Eckerle.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 14, 2024. I did NOT go to In-and-Out Burger today, but the night is anything but young. There’s still time. But there’s no double doubles here, no analysis, no breakdowns. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We begin with the men. I’m also standing outside, so let’s get this done as quickly as possible. 

No. 3 Michigan State scored four third-period goals to rally past No. 1 Minnesota 5-3 in the Big Ten, with Isaac Howard netting two for the Spartans. 

In the NCHC, No. 4 Denver split the weekend home-and-home series with No. 10 Colorado College after a 2-1 win, thanks to Cale Ashcroft’s game-winner. 

No. 6 Michigan finally ended its scoreless streak as Michael Hage's overtime game-winner salvaged a split with visiting Wisconsin. Not going to argue over what constitutes a split here. I know what you're saying, Wisconsin still got four of the six points on the weekend. All Hail Pairwise. 

Jake Schmaltz lifted No. 16 North Dakota to a 4-3 overtime win and a home sweep of No. 9 St. Cloud State in the NCHC. That goal song was stuck in my head the rest of the day. 

Josh Groll’s overtime goal secured No. 12 Minnesota State’s 3-2 victory over Lake Superior State in the CCHA, marking six straight wins for the Mavericks, who are unbeaten in their last 11. 

Oh, you didn't know ... this is a Gunnarwolfe Fontaine stan account. Fontaine scores his seventh of the year as No. 15 Ohio State beat Notre Dame 3-1

Robert Morris defeated Canisius 5-2 in Atlantic Hockey action, while Michigan Tech erupted for six third-period goals to dominate Bemidji State 9-5 in the CCHA, with Elias Jansson and Logan Morrell each scoring twice. 

Bowling Green edged Northern Michigan 4-3 in another CCHA contest. 

In Hockey East, Merrimack beat Northeastern 4-1. 

Omaha slipped past Lindenwood 2-1 in non-conference play, while RPI and Mercyhurst tied 3-3 before RPI won in the shootout. 

LIU crushed Stonehill 6-1 for its seventh win in nine games, while Stonehill dropped its fifth straight. 

Vermont defeated Union 3-2, and New Hampshire topped the USNTDP 6-2 in an exhibition. 

Three games on the women’s side - Maine edged Merrimack 3-2 in Hockey East women’s action, while Robert Morris took down LIU 3-1 in a non-conference matchup. Minnesota State outlasted Bemidji State 5-3 in  the WCHA.

In the Big Ten, No. 1 Minnesota and No. 3 Michigan State ended regulation tied at three after Brodie Ziemer opened and closed the scoring. Michigan State claimed the shootout and the extra Big Ten point. 

Tenth-ranked Colorado College overcame a 3-0 deficit to defeat No. 4 Denver 5-4 in the first game of the Gold Pan series, with Drew Montgomery netting his fifth goal of the season and Samu Salminen scoring twice for Denver. 

Wisconsin delivered a dominant 4-0 shutout at Yost over No. 8 Michigan, with Quinn Finley scoring his 12th of the season and Michigan going three games without a goal after a 16-goal series against Notre Dame. 

No. 16 North Dakota beat No. 9 St. Cloud State 2-0 at The Ralph with goals from Carter Wilkie and Jake Livanavage. Berry and Larson exchanged words towards the end of the game. I believe they were “Merry” and “Christmas.” 

No. 12 Minnesota State extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-1 win over Lake Superior State, courtesy of two goals by Luc Wilson. The Mavericks are 8-0-2 in their last 10. 

Brent Johnson’s overtime winner lifted No. 15 Ohio State past Notre Dame 2-1 in Columbus. 

New Hampshire and No. 17 Dartmouth finished tied at three with six different scorers before UNH claimed the shootout for bragging rights … and maybe even not that. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul. 

Bemidji State and Michigan Tech skated to a 2-2 tie, with Bemidji winning the shootout. Bowling Green edged Northern Michigan 2-1, while Augustana earned a 3-2 overtime victory over Alaska-Anchorage. If there were actual points on the line, Augie would have taken four of them this weekend. They now come back to the lower 48 after spending most of December in Alaska. 

Lindenwood upset Omaha 3-2, LIU bested Stonehill 3-1, and Vermont cruised to a 6-2 win over Union. 

In exhibition action, No. 13 Boston University outlasted the USNTDP 7-5. 

Just two games on the women’s side: Robert Morris and LIU skated to a 1-1 tie, but neither school reported who won the shootout.Had to go to discord to get the answer, so thanks to  “Twee P the sieve” confirming Robert Morris took the shootout, once again proving the discord server to be a more reliable source than, say a script. 

Maddie Mashuga’s hat trick powered Minnesota State to a 5-0 win over Bemidji State, improving the Mavericks to 7-9-1 and solidifying sixth place in the WCHA standings while handing Bemidji its third straight loss.

At the Capital Hockey Classic in D.C., Reece Laubach scored twice as Penn State defeated Army West Point 4-2. Laubach now has nine goals on the year. It's the fifth straight loss for the Black Knights. Penn State improved to 7-9 overall.
 
Out west, way west, like, North and West. Augustana and Alaska-Anchorage skated to a 2-2 tie and Augustana took the shootout for … no extra points.
 
Ryan Johnson scored his ninth of the year for the Seawolves.

In Big Ten action, Isaac Howard scored his seventh of the season, netting the overtime game-winner as No. 1 Michigan State edged Wisconsin 3-2. 

No. 2 Denver split its series with No. 7 Western Michigan as Carter King scored the OT game-winner in a 3-2 victory. No. 4 Minnesota swept No. 6 Michigan with a 2-0 win in Minneapolis, as Sam Rinzel scored his eighth and Jimmy Snuggerud added an empty-netter for his ninth. No. 5 Maine pulled away in the third period to defeat Stonehill 5-2, with Harrison Scott scoring his 10th of the year. Pairwise doesn’t care if you lose 6-1 or 2-1. 

No. 10 Providence completed a home sweep with five different scorers in a 5-1 victory over No. 8 Colorado College. Tyson Gross scored twice and Gavin Enright earned his first win in goal as No. 9 St. Cloud State beat Omaha 5-2 to split the series. 

In Hockey East, Michael Hrabal made 32 saves to lead UMass to a 4-0 shutout over No. 11 Boston University. Colgate upset No. 12 Cornell 6-3, breaking a 3-3 tie to even its record at 8-8-2. No. 20 Clarkson edged No. 13 Dartmouth 3-2 with Ayrton Martino scoring the game-winner late in the third. Rhett Pitlick’s two goals, including an overtime winner, lifted No. 15 Minnesota State over Bowling Green 3-2. 

No. 16 North Dakota completed a sweep of Miami with a 4-2 win as Jackson Kunz tallied his seventh goal of the year. No. 18 Quinnipiac downed Union 3-1, while No. 19 Arizona State defeated Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 to extend their strong run. 

Bentley and Mercyhurst skated to a 2-2 tie before Bentley took the shootout. Air Force topped Niagara 4-2, RIT outlasted Robert Morris 4-3, and Sacred Heart beat Canisius in a shootout after a 3-3 tie. Lake Superior State edged Bemidji State 4-3, Ferris State beat Northern Michigan 2-1, and St. Thomas upset Michigan Tech 4-1. Princeton defeated RPI 6-2, while Harvard and St. Lawrence played to a scoreless tie with Harvard taking the shootout. Alaska-Anchorage defeated Merrimack 3-1, Alaska squeaked by Augustana 2-1, Northeastern held off Brown 4-3, and Vermont overwhelmed LIU 7-4. Holy Cross and AIC was canceled. AHA simply said the game would not be played - unsure if it’s a cancellation or a postponement. Things are just kinda rough in Springfield right now as AIC didn’t have any healthy goaltenders. 

In WCHA women’s action, No. 1 Wisconsin continued its dominant season with a 5-0 win over St. Thomas, improving to 19-1 behind two goals from Maggie Scannell. No. 3 Minnesota completed a sweep of St. Thomas with a 6-2 victory in Mendota Heights, marking the Gophers’ ninth win in their last 10 games. No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth defeated No. 8 St. Cloud State 3-1, with Clara Van Wieren breaking a 1-1 tie with a knuckle puck from the blue line. Olivia Mobley and Mary Kate O’Brien also scored for the Bulldogs. 

In ECAC action, No. 6 Clarkson extended its unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 5-1 win over Harvard, led by two goals from Baylee Kirwan. Princeton upset No. 9 Quinnipiac 2-1 in overtime, with Sara Paul scoring both goals, including the OT winner. No. 11 St. Lawrence blanked Dartmouth 2-0 behind goals from Tori Verbeek and Sarah Thompson. RPI stopped No. 14 Yale 3-1, with three different players finding the net. 

In Atlantic Hockey, No. 12 Penn State swept Mercyhurst with a 3-2 win, powered by two goals from Tessa Janecke, who now has 14 on the season. 

Elsewhere, No. 15 UConn edged Maine 4-3 in overtime, RIT defeated Lindenwood 4-2, and Syracuse topped Robert Morris 4-1. Union defeated Brown 4-1, while Post and Sacred Heart skated to a 1-1 tie before Post took the shootout. Franklin Pierce blanked St. Michael’s 3-0, Merrimack edged Holy Cross 3-2 in overtime, and Assumption bested Stonehill in a shootout after a 2-2 tie.

In the Big Ten, Wisconsin stunned top-ranked Michigan State 4-0 in Madison behind two goals from Quinn Finley. It’s just Michigan State’s second loss of the season, in what wasn’t a good night for Top 10 teams. Guys were hopped up on that BadgerMax - Elixir of Might. 

Seventh-ranked Western Michigan edged No. 2 Denver 3-2 at Lawson, with Tim Washe scoring his seventh of the year and Cameron Rowe making 29 saves. 

In Hockey East, No. 14 UMass Lowell skated to a 3-3 tie with No. 3 Boston College and won the shootout thanks to two goals from Mirko Buttazzoni. No. 4 Minnesota rolled over No. 6 Michigan 6-0 in Minneapolis, with Matthew Wood scoring twice and Connor Kurth adding his ninth of the season. In non-conference play, No. 10 Providence got past No. 8 Colorado College 4-3, with Tomas Machu netting his first goal of the year. 

Omaha topped No. 9 St. Cloud State 4-3 in overtime on Sam Stange’s seventh goal of the season. No. 12 Cornell prevailed over Colgate 3-2 in overtime, with Charlie Major scoring his first of the year. St. Lawrence upset No. 13 Dartmouth 3-2 behind a game-winning goal from Nicholas Benetau. 

No. 15 Minnesota State continued its hot streak with a 4-1 win over Bowling Green, extending its unbeaten run to 10 games. In the NCHC, No. 16 North Dakota staged a dramatic rally, scoring twice in the final 90 seconds to defeat Miami 5-4. No. 17 Ohio State completed a sweep of Penn State with a 4-2 win, highlighted by goals from Riley Thompson and Max Montes. No. 18 Quinnipiac beat RPI 3-1 with Travis Treloar scoring his sixth of the season. 

No. 19 Arizona State secured its fourth straight win by defeating Minnesota-Duluth 5-3. No. 20 Clarkson improved to 10-5-2 with a 4-3 win over Harvard, thanks to a two-goal performance by Ayrton Martino. 

Bentley topped Mercyhurst 4-2, Holy Cross blanked AIC 1-0, Niagara edged Air Force 3-2 in overtime, Robert Morris dominated RIT 7-3, Sacred Heart defeated Canisius 4-2, Bemidji State beat Lake Superior State 4-2, Ferris State topped Northern Michigan 3-1, Michigan Tech got past St. Thomas 2-1, Princeton defeated Union 2-1, New Hampshire downed Northeastern 5-3, Merrimack beat Alaska-Anchorage 4-2, Augustana handled Alaska 3-1 in the Alaska Test, which was delayed by about 30 seconds, and LIU edged Vermont 3-2. Check their Pairwise. I don’t care if it’s early December. 

On the women’s side, No. 1 Wisconsin held off Minnesota State 2-1 behind goals from Kirsten Simms and Caroline Harvey. No. 3 Minnesota cruised past St. Thomas 5-0 with two goals each from Abbey Murphey and Josefin Bouveng. No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth and No. 8 St. Cloud State skated to a 1-1 tie, with Duluth taking the shootout after stellar performances from goaltenders Eve Gascon and Sanni Ahola. 

No. 6 Clarkson overcame Dartmouth 5-3 with late goals from Haley Winn and Jenna Goodwin. Holy Cross upset No. 10 Boston College 2-1 in overtime on Alexia Moreau’s fifth of the season. No. 11 St. Lawrence jumped to a 4-0 lead and beat Harvard 4-2, with Abby Hustler and Taylor Lum both scoring their sixth of the season. No. 12 Penn State defeated Mercyhurst 4-2 behind two goals from Maddy Christian, who now has 14 on the season. 

No. 13 Boston University topped Maine 3-1 with Riley Walsh scoring her fifth of the year. No. 14 Yale beat Union 3-1 as Anna Bargman scored her fifth of the season. No. 15 UConn rallied with two third-period goals to beat New Hampshire 2-1. RIT routed Lindenwood 9-4, Syracuse beat Robert Morris 4-1, RPI topped Brown 4-1, Vermont defeated Merrimack 2-1, Assumption edged Stonehill 2-1, Post shut out Sacred Heart 3-0, and Franklin Pierce blanked St. Michael’s 5-0.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 5, 2024. We’ve just got two games on a Thursday - one men’s and one women’s - so as always, there’s  no analysis, no breakdowns, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

In Big Ten men’s play, Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scored twice to lead No. 17 Ohio State past visiting Penn State 4-0. Max Montes added his seventh goal of the season for the Buckeyes, who bounced back from last weekend’s sweep by Princeton. 

Ohio State improved to 10-4-1 and 3-2 in the Big Ten, while Penn State fell to 6-8 overall with an 0-7 mark in league play. 

They’ll meet again on Friday to close out the series. 

Does lightning strike twice? If you’re LIU, maybe. For the second straight day, Grace Babington scored the game-winner in overtime as LIU topped St. Anselm 4-3, repeating Wednesday’s exact score and scenario. 

Babington’s overtime goal was her fifth of the season, and LIU’s Drew Dyczkowski netted her first collegiate goal for the Sharks in the second period. 

LIU improved to 10-5-2 and is now tied atop the NEWHA standings with Sacred Heart.

 It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for December 4, 2024. Stop me if you’ve heard this before: a New Hampshire fan and two Northeastern fans walk into Bridgewater Ice Arena …  No analysis, no breakdowns, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

Today, we’re not starting with the ranking teams - we’re going to Stonehill. 

Alaska-Anchorage got goals from four different players to defeat longtime, hated independent rival Stonehill 4-1 in a matchup that brought together some New England-based diehards—or should we say Sickos at the Bridgewater Ice Arena. 

Third-ranked Boston College outlasted UConn 2-1 in overtime at Conte Forum. James Hagans scored his fourth of the year for the game-winner, while Teddy Stiga also scored for BC. Ryan Tattle’s shorthanded goal tied it in the second, but BC dominated the shot count 43-24, including 17-4 in the third.

On the women’s side, No. 10 Boston College rallied with three third-period goals to defeat Providence 4-3. Abby Newhook, Julia Pellerin, and Sammy Taber each scored their seventh goals of the season for BC, which improved to 12-5 and has now won five of its last seven. Northeastern topped New Hampshire 2-0 with goals from Eloise Caron and Jaden Bogden. 

Northeastern sits tied for second with Boston College, just one point behind conference leader Boston University in Hockey East. In NEWHA women’s play, Grace Babington scored her fourth goal of the season in overtime as LIU edged St. Anselm 4-3. LIU fired an incredible 60 shots on goal to improve to 9-5-2. 

St. Anselm trailed 3-0 heading into the third but mounted a furious comeback.   Brooklyn Schneiderhan and Gracee Donovan, each tallying their eighth of the season, to force the extra frame. 
 
Two games scheduled for Thursday: Penn State is at No. 17 Ohio State on the men’s side, while St. Anselm finishes up its mid-week series at LIU.

We begin with the men where Max Scott scored his 12th of the year and Ryan St. Louis added a goal as Brown evened its record at 10-10-2 with a 2-1 win at Yale. The Bears sit in eighth in the ECAC standings, just seven points back of fifth place, though. 

In the wacky world of the independents, Josh Zary scored his ninth of the season as LIU improved to 14-11-2 with a 4-2 win over visiting Lindenwood. Hashtag SHORK? 

On the women’s side, seven different players scored as No. 15 Boston College exploded for four goals in the second period en route to a 7-1 win at Conte against visiting Vermont. The Eagles were the only ranked team to hit the ice tonight and it showed. 

Kira Juodikis' 12th of the year came in overtime as New Hampshire blew a 3-0 lead but held on to get the win to improve to 14-14-1 with a 3-2 win over Merrimack.

In non-conference women’s action, No. 9 Quinnipiac escaped host Sacred Heart 2-1 in front of a rowdy noontime crowd in Fairfield for Kids Day. Emerson Jarvis scored the game-winner with just over a minute left to lift Quinnipiac to 13-4-3. Maya LaBad netted her ninth of the season for Quinnipiac, which dominated with a 49-13 shot advantage. 

On the men’s side in Atlantic Hockey, Sacred Heart shut out Army West Point 4-0 with four different players scoring. A third-period empty netter was Felix Trudeau’s ninth of the season as the Pioneers improved to 8-7-2 overall and 7-5-1 in league play, moving into a tie with Bentley atop the AHA standings, though Bentley holds three games in hand. Elsewhere in Atlantic Hockey, back-to-back third-period goals by Alton McDermott broke open a close contest as Canisius defeated host RIT 6-4. 

There was a Monday game scheduled but those lake effect snows postponed the women’s game between second-ranked Ohio State and Mercyhurst. No time table yet on when that will be made up. 

We’ve got three games coming up on Wednesday. On the women’s side, Northeastern is at New Hampshire in Hockey East, while on the men’s side, UConn is at No. 3 Boston College while Alaska-Anchorage is at Stonehill. Oh you wacky independents and your road trips.

In men’s hockey, top-ranked Michigan State completed a sweep of visiting Lindenwood with a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Munn. Gavin O’Connell scored his third of the year, and Mikey DeAngelo also scored for the Spartans. 

No. 6 Maine broke a 2-2 tie with four goals in the third period to top RPI 6-2. Harrison Scott scored twice for the Black Bears, who improved to 10-2-2. Scott now has nine goals on the season, and Maine outshot RPI 100-44 on the weekend. 

No. 15 Dartmouth bounced back from a Saturday loss to Boston College with a 3-1 victory over host Vermont. John Fusco scored his fourth of the season as the Big Green moved to 6-1-1. 

Northeastern stopped Bentley’s four-game win streak with a 3-1 win at Matthews Arena. Dylan Hryckowian, Cam Lund, and Jack Williams each scored their sixth goals of the year for the Huskies.

In women’s hockey, RPI cruised past Assumption 6-0 as Ellie Kaiser scored twice, improving RPI to 9-7-2. 

Brown completed its weekend 2-0 with a 4-1 win over Holy Cross, led by Margot Norehad’s two goals.

 It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for November 30, 2024.  

We’ll start with the men’s action and to do that, we’ll first go to Belfast, Northern Ireland where No. 13 Boston U. scored three goals in the final period to claim the Friendship Four title with a 4-3 win over Notre Dame. Ryan Green tied the game with just under four minutes left before Shane Lachance netted the game-winner 30 seconds later to lift the Terriers. Harvard took the Friendship Four’s third-place game with a 4-2 win over Merrimack, as Casey Severo scored twice, including the game-winner just 18 seconds into the third period. 

At the Adirondack Winter Invitational in Lake Placid, it was John Mustard, in the 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena, in Lake Placid with the game-winner. Those of you over 40 might get the reference. Providence takes their second game at the Adirondack Winter Invitational over St. Lawrence 2-1. 

No. 16 UMass Lowell technically tied its second game of the Adirondack Winter Invitational, tying No. 20 Clarkson 4-4, but the River Hawks took the shootout. Since the games were pre-determined and there was no first place game as I said incorrectly on last night's show, So who wins the tournament? 

Was it actually a tournament? Well, Providence won both its games, so probably them. I think. Maybe. Just bracket the thing.

No. 3 Minnesota scored four goals in the third period to fend off Alaska 5-2. Brody Lamb netted his 10th goal of the season, and Leo Gruba scored his first career goal as the Gophers improved to 13-2-1. 

No. 5 Maine routed RPI 6-0, led by Lynden Breen’s hat trick and a 50-16 shot advantage. 

No. 6 Michigan split its home-and-home series with No. 7 Western Michigan, winning 2-1 in Ann Arbor behind Michael Hage’s ninth goal of the year. At the Frozen Apple in Madison Square Garden, No. 11 Cornell and No. 18 Quinnipiac tied 3-3, with Cornell winning the shootout to send Big Red fans into Midtown Manhattan happy. 

Princeton completed a sweep of No. 12 Ohio State with a 3-1 win in New Jersey, as Brendan Gorman’s short-handed goal late in the game sealed the Tigers’ victory. 

No. 14 North Dakota tied Bemidji State 3-3 before taking the shootout, but it’s Bemidji State that extended its unbeaten streak to five games - they’re 3-0-2 in the last five outings.

In Atlantic Hockey, Josh Barnes recorded a hat trick in AIC’s 4-2 win over Robert Morris, and Holy Cross beat Sacred Heart 4-1. 

In the CCHA, Lake Superior State swept St. Thomas with a 5-3 win, led by Connor Milburn’s two goals. Bowling Green and Michigan Tech tied 2-2, with Bowling Green winning the shootout. Augustana defeated Northern Michigan 4-1. 

Elsewhere, Brown beat Air Force 5-2, powered by two-goal efforts from Max Scott and Alex Pineau. Wisconsin tied Alaska-Anchorage 1-1 before winning the shootout. 

New Hampshire defeated RIT 6-1, Union beat Niagara 5-3, and LIU blanked Yale 3-0.

On the women’s side, No. 6 Clarkson captured the Smashville Showcase title with a 4-0 win over Merrimack, thanks to Sena Cattemrall’s two goals. 

Penn State tied St. Thomas 1-1 but won the third-place game shootout. 

At the Nutmeg Classic, Yale and No. 9 Quinnipiac tied 1-1 in the championship game, with Yale prevailing in the shootout as Gracie Gilkyson sealed the title in the part where the teams lineup and try to pepper the goaltender. 

No. 14 UConn defeated Sacred Heart 4-2 in the third-place game, led by Ashley Allard’s two goals. 

No. 1 Wisconsin swept Maine with a 6-1 win, with Kirsten Simms scoring twice and Laila Edwards adding her 17th goal of the season. 

No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth routed Vermont 9-1 as Caitlin Kraemer recorded a hat trick. 

No. 5 Colgate rolled over Syracuse 7-1, highlighted by Kristyna Kaltounkova’s hat trick, giving her 20 goals on the season. 

No. 8 St. Cloud State edged Union 2-1, with Sofianna Sundelin and Avery Myers each scoring. In Hockey East, 

No. 11 Boston College shut out No. 15 Northeastern 3-0 behind Grace Campbell’s 23 saves. Holy Cross defeated Assumption 6-0 with Charlotte Sonntag netting a hat trick and three goalies combining for the shutout. 

Brown edged Providence 3-2 in the Mayor’s Cup rivalry game with India McDadi scoring the winner early in the third period. 

Minnesota State swept Dartmouth with a 3-2 overtime win as Jenessa Gazdik tallied the game-winner. Princeton crushed Stonehill 12-1, with Issy Wunder scoring five goals and Emerson O’Leary adding a goal and five assists, as six Tigers recorded multiple points despite trailing 1-0 early.

We’ll begin on the men’s side with tournament action, first in Belfast, Northern Ireland  where No. 13 Boston U defeated Merrimack 6-2 in the Friendship Four opener in Belfast, led by Tristan Amonte’s two-goal performance. Notre Dame downed Harvard 5-2 in Belfast behind Blake Biondi’s two goals. It’ll be Boston University and Notre Dame in the final. 

In Lake Placid, No. 16 UMass Lowell blanked St. Lawrence 2-0 with goals from Dillon Bentley and Scout Truman at the Adirondack Winter Invitational. No. 10 Providence edged No. 20 Clarkson 3-2 in overtime, with Graham Gamache netting the game-winner to send the Friars to the championship game against the Riverhawks.

No. 1 Michigan State shut out Lindenwood 4-0 with goals from four different players on 56 shots. Daniel Russell scored his eighth of the season, and Trey Augustine stopped 29 shots for the shutout as Sparty improved to 10-1. Alaska earned a shootout win over No. 3 Minnesota after a 1-1 tie at Mariucci, with Nicholas Grabko making 3 6 saves for the Nanooks. Minnesota outshot the Spacebears 37-20. No. 4 Boston College defeated No. 15 Dartmouth 5-3, handing the Big Green their first loss of the season. James Hagens scored twice, and Mike Posma added a powerplay goal late, while the Eagles secured two empty-netters in the third. 

Game of the night was No. 7 Western Michigan topped No. 6 Michigan 4-1 in the front half of a home-and-home series. Four different players scored for the Broncos, including Cam Knuble, who tallied his seventh of the year on an assist from goalie Cameron Rowe, who also made 26 saves.  Princeton upset No. 12 Ohio State 3-1 behind two goals from Jake Manfre, giving the Tigers just their second win of the season.  Bemidji State edged No. 14 North Dakota 2-1 on goals by Mitch Wolfe and Isa Parekh, setting up the back end of their home-and-home at The Ralph on Saturday. 

Robert Morris topped American International 4-1, Holy Cross dominated Sacred Heart 6-1, Lake Superior State beat St. Thomas 4-2, Michigan Tech shut out Bowling Green 3-0, and Augustana handled Northern Michigan 4-1. Brown defeated Air Force in a shootout after a 1-1 tie. Wisconsin cruised past Alaska-Anchorage 7-1 as Gavin Morrissey recorded two goals and two assists. UMass beat Army West Point 3-1,  New Hampshire bested RIT 5-1, Union defeated Niagara 4-2, and LIU edged Yale 3-2.

In women’s action, we too will start with tournament action in Nashville for the Smashville Showcase. No. 6 Clarkson edged St. Thomas 5-4 in overtime at the Smashville Showcase on Rhea Hicks’ game-winner with one second remaining, sending Clarkson to the finals against Merrimack, which stunned No. 12 Penn State 3-1, converting on three of their six total shots. There were 17 combined shots in the game. SEVEN-TEEN. TOTAL.

At the Nutmeg Classic in Connecticut,  No. 9 Quinnipiac rolled past host Sacred Heart 8-1, led by Kahlen Lamarche’s hat trick. Yale defeated No. 14 UConn 3-1, with Carina DiAntonio scoring twice to send Yale to the championship game against Quinnipiac.

No. 1 Wisconsin overwhelmed Maine 9-0, with Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey, and Kirsten Simms each scoring twice. Edwards now has 16 goals this season as Wisconsin improved to 16-1. 

No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth shut out Vermont 4-0, with Eve Gascon stopping 19 shots. No. 5 Colgate defeated Syracuse 3-1 behind two goals from Kristyna Kaltounkova, who leads the nation with 17 goals, one ahead of Wisconsin’s Edwards. 

Union skated to a 2-2 tie with No. 8 St. Cloud State and won the shootout. Minnesota State shut out Dartmouth 4-0, and Princeton blanked Stonehill 5-0.

We’ll head into the holiday leading off with the two women’s games, highlighted by Princeton’s 8-1 drubbing of No. 13 Boston University at BU. 

Sarah Paul scored twice, giving her 10 goals on the season, while Mackenzie Alexander and Issy Wunder each tallied four points with a goal and three assists. Jennifer Olnowich made 44 saves for the Tigers, who have won four of their last five games. 

Mercyhurst earned a 4-1 win over New Hampshire as Marielle Parks scored twice and Jade Maisonneuve netted the first two goals of her career to help the Lakers secure a home split with the Wildcats.

On the men’s side, Penn State rolled past Colgate 7-1, fueled by five first-period goals. Seven different players scored for the Nittany Lions, who improved to 6-7 heading into Thanksgiving after completing a home sweep of the Raiders. Colgate dropped to 7-7-2.

On the women’s side, No. 7 Cornell defeated RIT 5-2 in non-conference action, with McKenna Van Gelder scoring twice and Avi Adam recording four assists. Adam has now scored points in five straight games. Union edged RPI 3-2 in overtime as Paige Greco’s second goal of the season was the game-winner for the Garnet Chargers. 

Franklin Pierce was asking if I can leave you tonight as they rolled over Post 5-2 with Bo Dean scoring twice to lift the Ravens to 7-6 in the NEWHA. It wasn’t QUITE a runaway. 

And for those who caught it, yes, that’s a nod to an ‘80s college rock band reference. I’ll just “hideaway” now. 

New Hampshire improved to 10-5-1 with a 3-1 victory over Mercyhurst. Three different Wildcats scored to earn the road win. 

On the men’s side, we all want to be closer to fine, and that’s exactly what the Skyhawks are doing as Stonehill earned its second straight win with a 3-1 victory over Army West Point. Evan Orr and Zach Aben scored third-period goals, and Anthony Galante netted his ninth of the season as Stonehill improved to 6-11. 

Penn State snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Colgate at Pegula Ice Arena. The Nittany Lions stuck to their usual script, outshooting the Raiders 42-27 to secure the win.

Three games take to the ice on Wednesday. Colgate and Penn State finish their series on the men’s side, while on the women’s side, New Hampshire and Mercyhurst wrap up their series and Princeton hits the road to take on No. 13 Boston U.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for November 23 AND 24, 2024. Am I getting lazy? No, I was just in Iowa City announcing some good ol’ wrestling at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday night. Real jobs, gotta pay the bills. As far as this show goes, there’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We begin where we did on Friday with Arizona State and Denver and the Sun Devils DID IT AGAIN, beating No. 1 Denver 5-2 pulling off an improbable road sweep at Magness Arena. 

Artem Schlaine scored twice, giving him three goals on the weekend, as ASU moved to 6-7-1 and handed Denver its first two losses of the season. 

No. 3 Boston College fell to Northeastern 4-2 as Dylan Hryckowian scored twice for the Huskies. 

No. 4 Minnesota completed a sweep of Notre Dame with a 5-3 win, led by Jimmy Snuggerud’s two goals, improving the Gophers to 12-2. 

No. 5 Michigan might not have scored early, but they eventually scored often, overwhelmed Penn State 10-6, converting on 25 percent of their shots. T.J. Hughes netted four goals, and Michael Hage added a goal and four assists as Michigan rallied from a 3-0 deficit. 

And it was the complete opposite in Colorado Springs where No. 7 Colorado College edged No. 11 St. Cloud State 1-0 in overtime with Philippe Blais-Savoie’s scoring the game-winner in a goaltender duel. CC netminder Kaidan Mbereko and St. Cloud State’s Isak Posch combined to stop 61 of 62 shots on the night. 

No. 8 Cornell rebounded from Friday’s loss to Quinnipiac with a 5-0 shutout of Princeton as five different players scored. 

No. 9 Western Michigan swept Minnesota-Duluth with a 4-1 win as Tim Washe scored twice, keeping Western undefeated in NCHC play at 5-0-1. They’re 8-1-1 overall. 

No. 10 Providence rallied to beat LIU 4-3 in overtime with Nick Poisson’s game-winner just 58 seconds into OT. 

No. 12 North Dakota edged Robert Morris 1-0, with Sacha Boisvert  scoring early and Hobie Hedquist stopping 20 shots for the shutout. 

No. 15 UMass Lowell salvaged a split with UConn in a 1-0 win as Libor Nemec’s first-period goal held up. 

No. 17 Minnesota State swept Michigan Tech with a 3-1 win as Ralfs Bergmanis and Adam Eisele scored in the third period. Colgate upset No. 18 Quinnipiac 3-2 in overtime as Daniel Pannetta scored his seventh of the season for the game-winner. No. 19 Clarkson topped Yale 4-0 with four different players finding the net.

Elsewhere, Niagara edged American International 2-1, Bentley blanked Air Force 2-0, and Mercyhurst defeated Canisius in a shootout after a 3-3 tie. Sacred Heart also won in a shootout after tying RIT 3-3. Augustana defeated Ferris State 4-1, and Bemidji State edged St. Thomas 2-1. Brown topped St. Lawrence 2-1 in overtime, while Omaha dominated Miami 8-1. Alaska-Anchorage tied Lake Superior State 4-4 and won in the shootout  Stonehill defeated Lindenwood 3-1.

On Sunday, we had three contests. Vermont competed a sweep of No. 20 UMass with a 3-2 victory, American International beat Niagara 5-2 and Lake Superior State beat Alaska-Anchorage 4-2. 

In women’s action, top-ranked Wisconsin improved to 15-1 with a 5-2 win over St. Thomas as Casey O’Brien scored twice and Laila Edwards netted her 14th of the season. O’Brien also had a pair of assists, giving her 140 for her career, which sets a new school record. 

Minnesota State upset No. 2 Ohio State 4-1, with Taylor Otremba scoring two third-period goals to seal the Mavericks’ first win over the Buckeyes since December 1, 2018. 

No. 10 St. Cloud State earned a home-and-home split with No. 3 Minnesota, winning 3-1 as Sanni Ahola made 38 saves and Avery Ferrell scored her fifth goal of the year for the Huskies. 

No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth swept Bemidji State with a 2-0 win behind goals from Tova Henderson and Olivia Mobley. No. 5 Colgate topped No. 7 Quinnipiac 4-1 as Kristyna Kaltounkova scored twice to take the national lead in goals with 15. 

No. 6 Clarkson edged Yale 4-3 in overtime on Caroline Goffredo’s game-winner, while No. 8 Cornell rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat Princeton 4-3 on Avi Adam’s late goal. No. 9 St. Lawrence tied Brown 1-1 but picked up the extra point with a shootout win. 

No. 14 UConn defeated No. 11 Boston College 2-1. 

In Atlantic Hockey America, No. 12 Penn State blanked Robert Morris 4-0. RIT edged Mercyhurst 4-3, while Lindenwood topped Syracuse 4-1. In the NEWHA, Assumption defeated St. Michael’s 3-1, Sacred Heart shut out Franklin Pierce 4-0, and LIU tied Post 2-2 but earned the shootout win. St. Anselm also tied Stonehill 1-1 and secured the extra point in the shootout.

On Sunday, just one game, Maine beat Vermont 3-1 in Hockey East.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for November 22, 2024. Full boat of scores, nothing super late, but some big stuff went down in the Mountain Time Zone. There’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We will begin on the men’s side as Arizona State stunned No. 1 Denver 3-2, snapping the Pioneers’ 21-game win streak as Arten Shlaine scored the game-winning goal with 45 seconds left. The loss knocks the Pioneers from the ranks of the unbeaten, leaving Dartmouth as the only team left this season without a loss - they also started a month later.

No. 3 Boston College blanked Northeastern 3-0 with Ryan Leonard scoring twice to bring his season total to 10. 

No. 4 Minnesota topped Notre Dame 6-3 behind two power-play goals from Sam Rinzel. No. 5 Michigan edged Penn State 6-5 as Michael Hage scored twice, including the game-winner. 

No. 5 Maine defeated New Hampshire 3-1 with Owen Fowler scoring his fourth of the season. No. 11 St. Cloud State defeated Colorado College 3-2 with Austin Burnevik scoring his seventh of the year as the game-winner at Robson. 

No. 18 Quinnipiac upset No. 8 Cornell 3-1 on third-period goals by Chris Pelosi and Mason Marcellus. No. 9 Western Michigan improved to 7-1-1 with a 5-2 win over Minnesota-Duluth, led by two goals from Ethan Wolthers. No. 12 North Dakota survived an upset scare, beating Robert Morris 4-3 in overtime on Jayden Perron’s power-play goal. Bobby Mo had tied that game up with an extra attacker goal with five seconds remaining. 

No. 13 Boston University doubled up Merrimack 6-3, and UConn defeated No. 15 UMass Lowell 4-1. No. 17 Minnesota State beat Michigan Tech 5-2 with Luigi Benincasa scoring twice. Brown picked up its first win of the season, shocking No. 19 Clarkson 1-0 on a buzzer-beater by Charlie Gollob. That one hit the net with half a second left. 

No. 20 UMass topped Harvard 5-3 with two goals from Cole O’Hara. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Bentley blanked Air Force 2-0, Canisius edged Mercyhurst 3-2, and Holy Cross defeated Army West Point 5-3. Sacred Heart beat RIT 3-2. In the CCHA, Ferris State topped Augustana 5-2, and Bemidji State tied St. Thomas, but took the extra point in the shootout. In the ECAC. Colgate beat Princeton 2-1, Yale rolled past St. Lawrence 5-1. In the NCHC, Omaha shut out Miami 3-0 and among the independents, Lindenwood dominated Stonehill 5-0.



On the women’s side No. 1 Wisconsin rolled past St. Thomas 6-1, with Lacey Eden scoring her 13th goal of the season and Cassie Hall adding her 10th. 

No. 2 Ohio State edged Minnesota State 2-1 in overtime on Joy Dunne’s 12th goal of the year. 

No. 3 Minnesota defeated No. 10 St. Cloud State 5-2 on the front-end of a home-and-home, led by Abbey Murphy’s hat trick. Little known fact, Murphy’s brother is an All-American wrestler at St. Cloud State. 

No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth routed Bemidji State 8-1 with Olivia Wallin scoring a hat trick. Princeton upset No. 5 Colgate 4-3 in overtime with Issy Wunder netting the game-winner. 

No. 6 Clarkson beat Brown 4-1, powered by two goals from Anne Cherkowski. No. 8 Cornell rallied to tie No. 7 Quinnipiac 3-3 and won the shootout for the extra point. 

No. 9 St. Lawrence beat Yale 2-1 despite being outshot 38-25. No. 11 Boston College defeated No. 14 UConn 3-2 with Lauren Glaser scoring the game-winner. 

No. 12 Penn State blanked Robert Morris 5-0 behind two goals from Maddy Christian. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Mercyhurst edged RIT 2-1, Syracuse defeated Lindenwood 2-1, while in Hockey East, New Hampshire beat Vermont 1-0 on Calista Printz’s first goal of the season. In the NEWHA, Assumption defeated St. Michael’s 5-4 in overtime, Sacred Heart beat Franklin Pierce 3-1, LIU edged Post 3-2 in overtime, and St. Anselm defeated Stonehill 5-2. Non-Conference action saw RPI beat Merrimack 3-2 and Providence topped Harvard in a shootout after a 2-2 tie.

Ryan Leonard scored the game-tying goal in the third and the game-winning goal in overtime to rally third-ranked Boston College past No. 10 Providence in Providence on Tuesday. Jan Korec stopped 24 shots in net for BC as he started in place of suspended goaltender Jacob Fowler who was doing his best Jake Paul-Mike Tyson impression over the weekend. Actually, let's never mention Jake Paul again. My apologies. 

American International 3, Stonehill 0
Timofei Khokhlachev, Alfred Lindberg and Jordan Biro (BY-ro) each scored goals and Peyton Grainer stopped 16 shots in net to  not only his first collegiate shutout, but that was his first W.
 
There's just two games before the full weekend schedule hits.
 
Union is at Vermont on the women's side on Wednesday, while on Thursday, it's an exhibition on the men's side with second-ranked Michigan State heading to Plymouth to take on the USNTDP.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for November 16, 2024. Those monster series come to an end in the WCHA. One undefeated #1 falls today - but who was it. There’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We’ll begin with the men on Saturday night with SEVEN games going to shootouts, all of them in conference play, so they all actually meant something. 

We’ll start with the men’s action
No. 1 Denver stayed perfect with a 3-2 win over No. 9 North Dakota as Boston Buckberger scored the game-winner. That’s 12-0 on the season and 21 in a row for the Pios. 

Bemidji State stunned No. 5 Minnesota 3-1, with Kirklan Irey scoring twice in just the third win in school history over the Gophers. The last time Bemidji State beat the Gophers was January 30, 2016 and it’s the first time the Beavers have beaten the Gophers in Bemidji. 

No. 4 Michigan State edged Notre Dame 4-3, with Daniel Russell scoring the eventual game-winner with two minutes remaining. 

No. 6 Cornell tied No. 20 Harvard 2-2 but picked up the extra point in the shootout. 

No. 11 Boston University and No. 7 Maine also tied 2-2, with BU taking the extra point in the shootout. No. 8 Colorado College and No. 13 Western Michigan played to a 1-1 draw, with CC winning the shootout in a goaltender duel - Kaidan Mbereko and Hampton Slukynski combined for 52 saves.

UMass defeated No. 10 Providence 5-1 for a series split. No. 14 Ohio State edged Lindenwood 3-2, with Davis Burnside and Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scoring. Yeah, I think I’m going to just mention Gunnarwolfe Fontaine every time he scores from here on out. Maybe. But probably not. It’s just fun to say.

No. 15 UMass Lowell shut out Vermont 3-0 as Henry Welsch recorded 20 saves in goal. 

Northern Michigan tied No. 16 Minnesota State 1-1 and won the shootout - Wildcats rebuilding efforts have to remember you have to crawl before you can walk. 

Was it a let down, well, it wasn't a loss, but it also wasn't two points. Colgate picked up the extra point with a shootout win over No. 17 Dartmouth after the teams skated to a 4-4 tie. Nikita Nikora with a goal and an assist for Dartmouth.

After dropping seven of the previous eight games coming into the weekend, Wisconsin swept No. 18 Penn State with a 6-3 win on Saturday night as Quinn Finley scored his eighth of the season. 

No. 19 Quinnipiac beat Yale 4-1 with Mason Marcellus scoring twice. 

Bentley blanked American International 3-0, and Army West Point beat RIT 4-2. Niagara edged Holy Cross 3-2, and Air Force beat Mercyhurst 4-1 to earn a sweep - which I incorrectly reported it as a 1-0 loss last night. Yeah, knowledge is good, reading is better. 

Sacred Heart swept Robert Morris with a 6-3 win as Felix Trudeau scored twice. In the CCHA, St. Thomas beat Bowling Green 6-3, and Ferris State edged Lake Superior State 3-2. 

In ECAC action, Clarkson defeated Union 4-1, while Brown and Princeton tied 1-1, with Brown taking the shootout. RPI defeated St. Lawrence 3-2. In Hockey East, Northeastern beat New Hampshire in a shootout after a 1-1 tie. In the NCHC, Minnesota-Duluth routed Miami 7-2, and Arizona State earned its first NCHC win with a 3-2 victory over Omaha. 

Alaska-Anchorage beat Alaska 6-1 in Game 2 of the Governor’s Cup as Dylan Contreras scored twice. LIU beat Stonehill 4-2, and in exhibition, Augustana edged the USNTDP 3-2.


In women’s action, No. 2 Ohio State handed No. 1 Wisconsin its first loss of the season with a 3-2 victory as Makenna Webster, Maddi Wheeler, and Kiara Zanon each scored. 

No. 3 Minnesota completed a sweep of No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth with a 3-2 win, featuring goals from three different players. 

No. 5 Colgate earned a 3-0 shutout over Harvard with - stop me if you’ve heard this before - Kristyna Kaltounkova and Elyssa Biederman scoring. 

No. 6 Clarkson defeated No. 9 St. Lawrence 2-0 behind goals from Anne Cherkowski and Haley Winn, while Julia Minotti recorded 27 saves for the shutout. 

Sofianna Sundelin scored in overtime to give No. 8 St. Cloud State a 3-2 victory over Minnesota State. No. 10 Cornell blanked Dartmouth 4-0 as four different players scored. No. 14 Boston University beat No. 11 Boston College 3-1 in the Battle of Comm Ave, with Sydney Healey netting her seventh of the season. 

No. 12 Penn State dominated Lindenwood 7-1, with Tessa Janecke scoring twice. No. 13 UConn shut out Merrimack 2-0. Yale defeated No. 15 Brown 4-1. 

Mercyhurst cruised past Robert Morris 5-0, while Syracuse edged RIT 1-0. New Hampshire defeated Holy Cross 2-0, and Northeastern blanked Maine 2-0. 

Vermont topped Providence in a shootout after a 0-0 tie. 

In NEWHA action, LIU beat Franklin Pierce 6-3, Stonehill shut out Post 3-0, Sacred Heart defeated St. Michael’s 4-1, and Assumption beat St. Anselm 3-1. In the WCHA, Bemidji State edged St. Thomas 4-3.

It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 4, 2025. While the Men’s Beanpot finishes up next week, we had two of the Boston teams in the mix. Like always, there’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s just the scores. And sometimes a bad joke - or did I say dad joke? They’re one and the same in my world. We start with the women tonight.  

Alex Law's seventh goal of the year came in overtime to lift No. 14 Boston U. to a 3-2 win over No. 13 Northeastern. The Terriers sit alone atop Hockey East with 50 points, four points ahead of second-place UConn and now nine up on Northeastern. 

The only game on the schedule on the men’s side took place in Atlantic Hockey. 

Bentley rallied from a 2-0 deficit and ended Army West Point's five game winning streak as the Falcons moved within one point of second place in the conference with a 5-2 win. Ryan Mansfield scored two goals for the Falcons. 

Let’s set the table with the conference standings heading into this weekend’s action. 

Once again, we start with the women and with the craziest race: the ECAC.

Cornell leads Colgate by a point and a half for first, followed by St. Lawrence, 5.5 points back from Colgate. Quinnipiac’s in fourth, four points behind St. Lawrence. 

In Hockey East, I already gave you the nuts and bolts of that above. BC is in fourth, two points behind Northeastern.

In the WCHA, Wisconsin is 17 points up on second-place. The No. 1 Badgers have 65 points. Minnesota and Ohio State are tied with 48 points in second, but the Gophers have two games in hand. Duluth is in fourth with 36 points. 

In Atlantic Hockey America, Penn State has 45 points and is 10 points up on second place Mercyhurst. Syracuse is nine points back of Mercyhurst. 

In the NEWHA, it’s a tight race with all teams having played 22 games. With three series left to go, Sacred Heart is in first with 45 points, leading second-place LIU by two points. Franklin Pierce is third with 39 and Stonehill and St. Anselm are tied in fourth with 35 points each. 

On the men’s side, most teams have 4-5 series’ left in their schedule. 

In Atlantic Hockey America, Sacred Heart has 46 points, five points up on second-place Holy Cross and six points up on Bentley. Niagara’s in fourth with 39 points. 

The Big Ten is a two-horse race with Michigan State leading with 40 points, two ahead of second-place Minnesota. Both teams have played 18 conference games. Ohio State’s in third with 28, followed by Michigan with 25 and Wisconsin with 24. So still the chance for a lot of movement from 3-5. 

With Augustana playing an abbreviated conference schedule in the CCHA, the Vikings do lead in points percentage. They’ll only play 16 conference games this year. They’re in a good position to lock up the tournament’s top seed. Minnesota State’s in second, followed by Michigan Tech and Bowling Green. 

Much like the women, the ECAC is also a tight race with the top five teams all separated by five points. Quinnipiac leads with 30 points, followed by Colgate, which has 29. Dartmouth and Union are tied in third with 26, while Clarkson has 25 in fifth. 

In Hockey East, Boston College has a three-point lead over Maine 35-32, while Boston U. Is third with 31 points. UConn sits in fourth with 26, followed by UMass Lowell with 25. 

In the NCHC, Arizona State and Western Michigan are tied in first with 34 points, which is what everyone had on their preseason polls right? Omaha’s in third with 31 points. North Dakota and Denver are fourth and fifth with 25 and 24 points.

With those women’s battles, we’ll start there as No. 1 Wisconsin rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat No. 2 Ohio State 4-2, with Lacey Eden scoring twice as the Badgers improved to 13-0. 

No. 3 Minnesota stopped No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth 4-1 as Ella Huber netted two goals and the Gophers fired 52 shots on goal. 

No. 5 Colgate beat Dartmouth 5-1, with Kristyna Kaltounkova scoring her 11th of the season, while Elyssa Biederman added her 10th of the year. Minnesota State upset No. 8 St. Cloud State 4-1 on the road, with four different players finding the net. 

No. 10 Cornell rolled past Harvard 5-1 behind two goals from Lily Delianedis (DELI-AHN-EED-IS) . 

In a Battle of Comm Ave, No. 11 Boston College topped No. 14 Boston University 3-2 in overtime on Julia Pellerin’s game-winner before a record home crowd of 2,866 at BU. 

No. 12 Penn State avoided an upset, defeating Lindenwood 3-2 in overtime with Karley Garcia scoring the decisive goal as the Nittany Lions outshot their opponent 51-10. No. 13 UConn edged Merrimack 3-2. 

Mercyhurst and Robert Morris tied 2-2, Syracuse defeated RIT 4-2, and Northeastern slipped past Maine 2-1. New Hampshire needed overtime to edge Holy Cross 3-2, and Providence beat Vermont in a shootout after a 1-1 tie. In NEWHA action, St. Anselm defeated Assumption 3-2 in overtime, LIU blanked Franklin Pierce 1-0, Sacred Heart dominated St. Michael’s 6-0, and Post edged Stonehill 1-0. Bemidji State handled St. Thomas 4-1.

In men’s action, No. 1 Denver stayed perfect at 11-0 with a 5-2 win at No. 9 North Dakota, as Zeev Buium recorded his first three goals of the season helping the Pioneers win their 20th straight dating back to to last season. 

UConn ended No. 2 Boston College’s seven-game win streak with a 5-4 victory in Storrs, with five different players scoring for the Huskies. 

No. 4 Michigan State routed Notre Dame 8-3 as Karsen Dorwart scored twice and Red Savage added a goal and two assists. 

No. 17 Dartmouth defeated No. 6 Cornell 4-3, never trailing in the game. It’s the first Dartmouth win over Cornell in regulation since December of 2019.

No. 7 Maine cruised past No. 11 Boston University 5-2, with Owen Fowler scoring twice. 

No. 13 Western Michigan handed No. 8 Colorado College its first loss of the season, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 in overtime on Tim Washe’s goal. 

No. 14 Ohio State topped Lindenwood 5-2, with Gunnarwolfe Fontaine and Riley Thompson each scoring twice. No. 15 UMass Lowell beat Vermont 5-2, with Stefan Owens and Mirko Buttazzoni (BUTT-A-ZONEY) each scoring their first goals of the season. 

No. 16 Minnesota State shut out Northern Michigan 3-0 as Alex Tracy earned another shutout. Wisconsin edged No. 18 Penn State 5-4 in overtime on Daniel Laatsch’s game-winner. No. 19 Quinnipiac slipped past Brown 3-2, and Colgate blanked No. 20 Harvard 4-0, with Brett Chorske and Daniel Pannetta scoring their fifth goals of the season.

Elsewhere, Bentley beat American International 5-2, and Army West Point routed RIT 5-1 as Adam Marshall scored twice. Holy Cross took the shootout over Niagara after a 3-3 tie, and Mercyhurst shut out Air Force 1-0. 

Sacred Heart rallied with three third-period goals to beat Robert Morris 4-2. Bowling Green won in a shootout after tying St. Thomas 2-2. Lake Superior State defeated Ferris State 4-2. Clarkson beat RPI 3-1, Princeton defeated Yale 4-1, and Union blanked St. Lawrence 4-0. 

New Hampshire downed Northeastern 4-1, Minnesota-Duluth rolled past Miami 5-0, and Omaha beat Arizona State 4-2. 

In non-conference play, Alaska topped Alaska-Anchorage 3-2 in overtime in the Governor’s Cup opener, LIU cruised past Stonehill 5-1, and in exhibition, Augustana beat the USNTDP 4-1.

The third-ranked Gophers improved to 10-1 but did get a bit of a third-period scare as Bemidji State clanged a potential game-tying goal off the crossbar in the final minutes. Brody Lamb scored twice, while Brodie Ziemer, Oliver Moore and John Mittelstadt also found the back of the net. They'll meet again Saturday, but up in Bemijdi. 

#10 Providence 2, UMass 1
Ryan O'Reilly scored his fourth goal of the year and the eventual game-winner was put in by Logan Sawyer as No. 10 Providence improved to 7-1-2 with a 2-1 win in Amherst. They'll meet again Saturday in Rhode Island.

Wednesday
#6 Clarkson 1, #9 St. Lawrence 1 (Clarkson wins SO) 
Only an extra point was settled on Wednesday as sixth-ranked Clarkson and ninth-ranked St. Lawrence skated to a 1-1 tie with Clarkson picking up the conference point by winning the shootout. The two squads will reacquaint themsleves on Saturday.

Men Evan Orr scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in overtime to lift Stonehill to a 4-3 win over visiting Merrimack on Tuesday. The Skyhawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead after goals by Frank Ireland, Orr and Anthony Galante. Merrimack answered, scoring three straight in the second to tie the game before Orr's second of the night in a 4-on-4 situation gave the Skyhawks the improbable series sweep - the first game was back on October 6. Stonehill is now 4-7, while Merrimack fell to 3-6-1.
 
Women Kahlen Lamarche's third goal of the season was the only one of Quinnipiac's 43 shots on goal that actually went in, but that's all the Bobcats needed to get past host LIU in East Meadow, New York on Tuesday. Felicia Frank stopped 14 shots to earn her third shutout of the season.

Nothing on the schedule for Wednesday, but a pair of men’s games on Thursday as No. 10 Providence visits UMass in Hockey East, while it’s a State of Hockey non-conference matchup with Bemidji State visiting the Twin Cities to take on third-ranked Minnesota.

Andre Gasseau scored twice and Ryan Leonard scored his fifth of the season as second-ranked BC swept a top-five showdown with host Maine to improve to 7-1. Jacob Fowler stopped 26 shots to pick up his third shutout of the season. BC is now 2-0 in Hockey East, while the two losses were the first of the season for the Black Bears.
 
Air Force 2, Canisius 1
Austin Schwartz scored the game-winning powerplay goal with under a minute remaining to lift Air Force past Canisius in Atlantic Hockey America play. Guy Blessing with 27 saves in goal for Air Force, who evened its record at 6-6-1 and 3-1 in Atlantic Hockey. Canisius fell to 3-8, 3-2 in conference.

No. 3 Minnesota beat Wisconsin 3-2 in OT, with Brodie Ziemer scoring the game-winner. No. 4 Michigan State completed a weekend sweep over No. 13 Ohio State, winning 4-1 as Trey Augustine stopped 29 shots. No. 6 Cornell beat Brown 3-1, led by Dalton Bancroft’s two goals. 

No. 7 Michigan defeated No. 20 Notre Dame 4-2 with four different Wolverines scoring, including Michael Hage, Evan Werner, and Jackson Hallum netting their fifth goals of the season. 

No. 8 Colorado College improved to 8-0, beating Arizona State 3-1 as Kaidan Mbereko stopped 41 shots. No. 9 Boston University scored five times in the second period to top No. 17 UMass Lowell 5-2, with Quinn Hutson scoring twice. 

No. 10 North Dakota swept Minnesota-Duluth 4-1, with four different players scoring. No. 11 Providence edged Northeastern 6-5 in OT, with Trevor Connelly scoring the winner. No. 12 St. Cloud State topped Miami 3-1, aided by two goals from Austin Burnevik. 

No. 14 Western Michigan defeated Omaha 4-2, handing the Mavericks their sixth straight loss. Harvard blanked No. 15 Quinnipiac 3-0, while No. 16 Minnesota State took the shootout after a 1-1 tie with St. Thomas. Vermont shut out No. 18 UMass 4-0, with Alex Mangbo making 26 saves for his second shutout of the year. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Niagara defeated Army West Point 2-0, RIT beat Bentley 6-2, and Sacred Heart downed Mercyhurst 4-1. In CCHA play, Augustana beat Bemidji State 5-1, Lake Superior State defeated Northern Michigan 5-1, and Michigan Tech edged Ferris State 3-1. In the ECAC, Dartmouth outplayed Princeton 5-1 and Yale topped Colgate 4-3. In Hockey East, Merrimack defeated UConn 5-2, while non-conference action saw Alaska beat Union 6-4. New Hampshire rolled over LIU 6-1, and Clarkson beat Stonehill 6-3.

In women’s hockey, No. 5 Colgate edged Yale 4-3 with Elyssa Biederman scoring her ninth of the season, which proved to be the game-winner. No. 6 Clarkson blanked RPI 2-0 with goals from Anne Cherkowski and Madison Chantler. 

No. 7 Quinnipiac needed just one goal to beat Harvard 1-0, with Kendall Cooper scoring early in the third. No. 8 St. Lawrence shut out Union 3-0, with Kennedy Wilson scoring twice. 

Northeastern defeated No. 10 UConn 1-0 for a second consecutive 1-0 win. No. 11 Cornell handed No. 14 Brown its second straight loss, winning 2-1 with Annelies Bergmann stopping 18 of 19 shots for the Big Red. 

No. 13 Boston College beat Maine 5-1, with Abby Newhook scoring twice. 

In the ECAC, Princeton beat Dartmouth 4-3, while in Hockey East Holy Cross edged Vermont 2-1 in OT, and Providence’s Millie Sirum netted a hat trick to lead the Friars over New Hampshire 6-3. 

In NEWHA action, Sacred Heart blanked Assumption 4-0, Franklin Pierce defeated Stonehill 3-2, St. Anselm won a shootout after a 2-2 tie with Post, and LIU shut out St. Michael’s 1-0.

No. 2 Boston College rallied past No. 5 Maine 3-2 with Ryan Leonard scoring the game-winner with just over 90 seconds left. Maine led 2-0 midway through the third period before Boston College turned it around, handing the Black Bears their first loss of the season. 

No. 3 Minnesota came from behind to edge Wisconsin 3-2 with Jimmy Snuggerud scoring twice to secure the win. No. 4 Michigan State handed No. 13 Ohio State its first loss in a 4-2 game as Daniel Russell tallied his fifth goal of the season for Sparty. 

Yale won the shootout over No. 6 Cornell after a 2-2 tie; Donovan Frias scored twice for Yale. No. 7 Michigan outlasted No. 20 Notre Dame 2-1 in OT thanks to Evan Werner’s fourth goal of the season. Colorado College ruined the NCHC debut of Arizona State by topping the Sun Devils 4-3 in OT with Zaccharaya Wisdom’s game-winner. 

No. 17 UMass Lowell improved to 6-1, defeating No. 9 Boston University 5-3, handing BU its third straight home loss. No. 10 North Dakota cruised to a 7-3 win over Minnesota-Duluth with seven different players scoring. Northeastern took down No. 11 Providence in a shootout after a 2-2 game, while No. 12 St. Cloud State edged Miami 3-2 in OT - Grant Ahcan with a pair of goals including the game-winner for the Huskies. 

No. 14 Western Michigan beat Omaha 2-1 with Tristan Lemyre’s late game-winner, and Dartmouth pulled off an upset by beating No. 15 Quinnipiac 4-2. No. 16 Minnesota State rallied to beat St. Thomas 5-3, scoring four third-period goals. 

In other games, Vermont topped No. 18 UMass in a shootout after a 3-3 tie. 

In Atlantic Hockey America: Air Force blanked Canisius 2-0, and Army West Point edged Niagara 1-0. Bentley shut out RIT 5-0, while American International defeated Holy Cross 3-2, and Sacred Heart overcame Mercyhurst 4-3. 
In the CCHA: Bemidji State edged Augustana 4-3 in OT, Lake Superior State shut out Northern Michigan 5-0, Michigan Tech narrowly beat Ferris State 3-2
In the ECAC: Colgate downed Brown 5-3, and Harvard topped Princeton 4-3 in OT. 
In Hockey East: Merrimack dispatched UConn 4-1. 
In non-conference action, Union tied Alaska 3-3 and won the shootout, and in exhibition play, St. Lawrence blanked Simon Fraser 4-0.

On the women’s side, No. 5 Colgate outlasted No. 14 Brown 4-3 in OT, with Neena Brick scoring the game-winner, handing Brown its first loss of the season. No. 6 Clarkson defeated Union 3-2, while No. 7 Quinnipiac needed just 43 seconds of OT to edge Dartmouth 2-1 thanks to Jenna Donahue’s quick goal. 

RPI won the shootout after tying No. 8 St. Lawrence 3-3, and Northeastern edged No. 10 UConn 1-0, with Lily Shannon’s lone goal lifting her team of Huskies ove the other set of Huskies. 

No. 11 Cornell blanked Yale 2-0 with Annelies Bermgann’s 33 saves securing the shutout. No. 13 Boston College topped Maine 3-1, with three different players scoring, while No. 15 Boston University tied Merrimack 3-3 and won the shootout. 

In the ECAC: Princeton defeated Harvard 5-3.
New Hampshire overcame Providence with a decisive 7-3 win in Hockey East. 
In the NEWHA, St. Anselm edged Post 2-1, Sacred Heart blanked Assumption 1-0, LIU shut out St. Michael’s 5-0, and Stonehill edged Franklin Pierce 2-1. 
The lone non-conference game saw Lindenwood dominate St. Thomas 6-1.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for November 7, 2024. We’ve got three games on a Thursday in the land of Division I college hockey - two on the women’s side and one on the men’s. There’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. 

We’ll begin with the women where Clara Yuhn scored twice, giving her seven goals on the season to lift No. 15 Boston University to a 5-1 win in Hockey East over Merrimack in North Andover. The Terriers improved to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in conference. It was the first game of a home-and-home series. They’ll meet again Friday, this time in Boston. 

Seven different Tommies scored goals and Ella Boerger dished out three assists as St. Thomas evened its record at 5-5-1 with a 7-2 win over Lindenwood. 

On the men’s side, just the one game in Atlantic Hockey America and it was a 5-2 win by Holy Cross over visiting American International. Five different players scored for the Crusaders and Thomas Gale had 24 saves in goal as Holy Cross improved to 3-2 in Atlantic Hockey. 

We’re pretty much full-on into conference season on the women’s side, with just one non-conference game taking place Friday, while the men have two. Best game in terms of rankings to check out on the women’s side Friday is likely No. 5 Colgate at No. 14 Brown. On the men’s side, it’s undoubtedly the top-five matchup at Conte where fifth-ranked Maine will take on second-ranked Boston College. 

A couple of ranked head-to-head series kick off in the Big Ten with No. 13 Ohio State taking on No. 4 Michigan State, while No. 20 Notre Dame will face No. 7 Michigan. Arizona State will play its first conference game in program history as it heads up to Colorado Springs to take on Colorado College. In Hockey East, No. 17 UMass Lowell takes on No. 9 Boston U. Fitting two schools from Minnesota would feature the color purple - we mean Prince, not like the Color Purple movie (or the book) - No. 16 Minnesota State heads up to the Twin Cities to take on host St. Thomas.

In Hockey East action, UConn defeated Vermont 6-5 in a thrilling overtime tilt, with Tristian Fraser scoring a pair of goals, including the game-winner in a back-and-forth affair. Vermont jumped out to a 2-0 lead before UConn scored three straight. The teams then traded goals until overtime, when Fraser’s second of the game ended things with 46 seconds left.
 
In non-conference play, Dartmouth kicked off its season with a pair of weekend wins. After topping Harvard on Friday, the Big Green stopped Stonehill 5-2. Dartmouth dominated early, jumping out to a 5-0 lead thanks to goals from five different players before Stonehill managed to score twice late in the game.
 
There is one game scheduled for Monday and it’s a men’s matchup in Atlantic Hockey America as Robert Morris will head north up I-79 to take on Mercyhurst.

We’ll start with the men’s action where top-ranked Denver completed a sweep over Yale with a 5-1 win as Aiden Thompson scored twice, and No. 2 Boston College edged No. 10 St. Cloud State 2-1 on Gabe Perrault’s early third-period goal. 

Fourth-ranked Minnesota pulled off a 1-0 win over No. 18 Penn State with a late goal in the final minute by Jimmy Clark, improving the Gophers at 7-1. 

No. 11 Michigan earned a 5-4 overtime victory over No. 5 Boston University as Jackson Hallum notched a hat trick, including the game-winner, to sweep the Terriers. 

Ninth-ranked Cornell rallied to beat No. 6 North Dakota 5-3, scoring three times in the third period for the sweep. No. 7 Maine shut out Merrimack 6-0, led by Thomas Freel and Harrison Scott with two goals apiece. Eighth-ranked Colorado College dominated Air Force with four goals in the third to win 6-1 and stay unbeaten. 

No. 12 Providence blanked New Hampshire 3-0 with 43 saves from Zachary Borgiel, and No. 14 Quinnipiac defeated Holy Cross 4-0 as Travis Treloar scored twice. No. 15 Ohio State topped Lake Superior State 6-2, No. 16 Minnesota State edged Bemidji State 2-1, and No. 17 UMass outlasted American International 4-3. Wisconsin got its second win of the year in the form of a 2-1 win at No. 19 Notre Dame. 

In Atlantic Hockey America, Bentley defeated Sacred Heart 6-4, and Mercyhurst edged Niagara 4-3 in overtime. In the CCHA, Augustana took down St. Thomas 3-2, Bowling Green outscored Ferris State 5-4, and Michigan Tech powered past Northern Michigan 6-3. 

In Hockey East, Vermont beat UConn 1-0 in overtime.

Other non-conference action saw Alaska tie Clarkson but take the shootout, same thing with Robert Morris, who tied Lindenwood, but also prevailed in the shootout. RPI squeezed by Miami 2-1 to finish off a sweep of the Redhawks. 

To the women, where top-ranked Wisconsin continued its undefeated streak, shutting out No. 8 St. Cloud State 4-0, with Laila Edwards netting her 13th goal of the season and Ava McNaughton making 29 saves. 

No. 2 Ohio State narrowly escaped St. Thomas with a 1-0 overtime win on Emma Peschel’s power-play goal just 21 seconds into the extra period. 

Third-ranked Minnesota downed Bemidji State 4-1, led by Abbey Murphy’s two power-play goals. Minnesota-Duluth and Minnesota State skated to a 3-3 tie, with the Bulldogs winning the shootout after a thrilling finish in the last two minutes of regulation. That shootout also went EIGHT rounds. 

In the ECAC, No. 5 Clarkson took down Princeton 6-3 behind two goals each from Sena Catterall and Anne Cherkowski. Sixth-ranked Colgate came from behind in the third to edge Union 4-3, with Kristyna Kaltounkova’s game-winner. 

No. 11 Quinnipiac defeated No. 7 St. Lawrence 3-1, with two goals from Jenna Donahue. 

No. 9 Cornell routed RPI 7-0 as Lindzi Avar recorded her first three goals of the year - up, the ol’ hat trick. Tenth-ranked UConn beat Holy Cross 2-0, Yale bested Dartmouth 2-1, and Brown rolled over Harvard 5-1. 

Other women’s action saw Lindenwood edge Mercyhurst 2-1, RIT down Robert Morris 5-1, Boston University nip Providence 3-2, New Hampshire shut out Northeastern 2-0, and Vermont beat Maine 2-1. 

In the NEWHA, Sacred Heart beat LIU 1-0, Assumption thumped Post 7-3, Franklin Pierce won over St. Anselm 7-3, and Stonehill beat St. Michael’s 3-1.

No. 19 Notre Dame topped Wisconsin 3-2 in overtime, with Cole Knuble scoring the game-winner on the power play. The Badgers dropped to 1-6. UMass Lowell completed a pair of comebacks to defeat Holy Cross 5-4 in overtime with Jak Vaarwerk netting the winner. During one second-period stretch, the River Hawks scored three goals in 58 seconds to go from down 3-0 to tied. They’d rally again to force OT before Vaarwerk won it in the extra frame.
 
Dartmouth outlasted Harvard 2-1, Canisius downed Army West Point 6-1, Niagara beat Mercyhurst 5-3, Bentley defeated Sacred Heart 4-2, St. Thomas shut out Augustana 4-0, Bowling Green blanked Ferris State 2-0, Michigan Tech topped Northern Michigan 3-0 up in the U.P., Alaska defeated Clarkson 3-1, Robert Morris beat Lindenwood 3-1, RPI slipped past Miami 3-2 in overtime, and Stonehill defeated St. Lawrence 4-0.
 
In women’s action: Top-ranked Wisconsin remained unbeaten with a 6-0 shutout over No. 8 St. Cloud State, as Laila Edwards and Cassie Hall each scored twice, helping the Badgers score on their first three shots within the game’s opening minutes.
 
No. 2 Ohio State earned a 5-1 victory over St. Thomas, with Joy Dunne netting two goals giving her 11 on the season. Jenna Buglioni and Jocelyn Amos also scored, giving them 11 on the year as well.
No. 3 Minnesota slipped past Bemidji State 2-1, thanks to Natalie Mlynkova’s two-goal performance. In Mankato, Caitlin Kraemer’s two goals led No. 4 Minnesota-Duluth to a 4-1 win over Minnesota State.
 
In ECAC play, Kaley Doyle’s 30 saves gave No. 11 Quinnipiac a 3-0 win over No. 5 Clarkson, marking her fourth shutout of the season. Emma Pais (PICE)’s two goals pushed No. 6 Colgate past RPI 4-1, while Taylor Lum’s scored twice to lead No. 7 St. Lawrence to a 6-2 win at Princeton.
Union surprised No. 9 Cornell 3-2, with Jill Willis’ third goal of the season as the game-winner. No. 10 UConn needed overtime to defeat Holy Cross 2-1 with Ashley Allard’s scoring the game-winner.
No. 12 Penn State completed a sweep of Syracuse, winning 5-2 behind Maddy Christian’s two-goal performance.
 
Harvard dealt No. 14 Yale its first loss, winning 5-1 with goals from five different players. No. 15 Brown stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 win over Dartmouth, Ella Muralt scoring the winner.
In other women’s action, Mercyhurst won 3-1 over Lindenwood, Robert Morris took a shootout win over RIT after a 2-2 tie, Northeastern beat New Hampshire 4-1, Boston University topped Providence 5-1, Maine defeated Vermont 5-1, Assumption edged Post 2-1, Franklin Pierce outlasted St. Anselm 4-3, LIU narrowly won over Sacred Heart 3-2, and Stonehill rolled past St. Michael’s 5-1.

#1 Boston College 8, Northeastern 2
Top-ranked Boston College breezed into the 72nd Men's Beanpot finals with an 8-2 win over last year's winner Northeastern. To say it was balanced would be an understatement as eight different Eagles scored. Ryan Leonard had a three-point night, scoring his 23rd of the season to go along with two assists. BC's won eight in a row. 

#8 Boston U. 7, Harvard 1
Cole Hutson and Devin Kaplan each scored a pair of goals as No. 8 Boston University opened up the 72nd Men's Beanpot with a 7-1 win over Harvard. Hutson also had two assists for a four-point night, while Mikhail Yegorov stopped 26 shots between the pipes. After a 1-1 first period, the Terriers exploded for five goals in the seconds to cruise. 

BC will play in the Men's Beanpot finals for the first time since 2019 and it'll be a BU-BC matchup in the finals for the first time since 2016 when BC beat BU 1-0 in overtime.
 
It's the 56th time BU has made the final, while its' the 37th for BC. BU has the most pots of beans, winning 31 times. BC has 20.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for October 31, 2024. Had to break the format for the last couple days, since there was only one game on October 27 and one game on October 30. With two games tonight, we’ll give you that information as well as a quick look back, because them scores matter.
 
We’ll start with Sunday where Boston College pulled off a thrilling comeback with a 4-3 victory over third-ranked Clarkson. Trailing 3-1, the Eagles scored three unanswered goals in the third period, highlighted by Gaby Roy’s game-tying goal with just over nine minutes left and Julia Pellerin’s game-winner with 2:25 remaining, completing a weekend sweep.
 
On Wednesday in men’s action, Niagara took down RIT 4-1 with four different players finding the back of the net, while Shane Ott contributed three assists to power the victory. Niagara’s now 2-0-1 in Atlantic Hockey America.
 
A pair of games on Halloween - we start with the one women’s game where No. 12 Penn State needed overtime to edge past Syracuse 3-2 in a game they dominated in shots, outshooting the Orange 37-16. Brianna Brooks’ third goal of the year two minutes into overtime gave the Nittany Lions their eighth win of the season.
 
On the men’s side Canisius shut out Army West Point 4-0, with Matteo Giampa netting two goals and Ethan Robertson making 26 saves for the shutout. Canisius moves to 2-0 in Atlantic Hockey America, while the Black Knights, who have already played five league games, fell to 2-3.

Top-ranked Denver scored six unanswered goals to sweep #20 Wisconsin with a 6-1 win, as Sam Harris netted his sixth of the season. 

No. 2 Boston College scored twice in the final minute to secure a 4-2 comeback victory over #14 Western Michigan, with Ryan Leonard scoring the game-winner and an empty netter. 

No. 3 Boston U. rebounded from a Friday loss to defeat No. 7 North Dakota 4-3. #4 Michigan State completed a sweep over Canisius, winning 4-1 with four different players scoring. #5 Minnesota took down St. Thomas 6-2, with Brody Lamb scoring a hat trick as part of a 13-goal weekend sweep. 

#6 Maine edged Northeastern in a shootout after a 2-2 draw. Bret Link and Klavs Veinbergs each scored and Kaidan MBerek o had an 18-save shutout as Colorado College improved to 4-0 with a 2-0 win at Alaska-Anchorage. Alaska Test also saw some shattered glass to start the third period. 

New Hampshire upset #11 Quinnipiac 3-2, with Cy LeClerc contributing a goal and an assist. 

#12 St. Cloud State notched a 2-1 win over Augustana, marking their fifth one-goal victory this season. They’re 6-1. No. 13 Providence and Vermont tied 4-4 with the Friars taking the shootout and UConn defeated #15 UMass 3-2 with Jake Percival scoring twice to bring his season total to six. 

In a tight game, #18 Minnesota State beat #16 Omaha 1-0, thanks to Alex Tracy’s 27 saves and an early goal by Adam Eisele. LIU upset #17 Notre Dame in South Bend 5-2, with five different players scoring. 

#19 Ohio State shut out Bowling Green 2-0 to remain unbeaten at 5-0-1, with Kristoffer Eberly making 22 saves. 

American International claimed a 4-2 win over Air Force, while Army West Point defeated Bentley 4-1. Robert Morris edged Niagara in a shootout after a 4-4 draw. Bemidji State secured a 3-0 win over Ferris State in CCHA play. Union edged RPI 4-3, and UMass Lowell topped Merrimack 6-3 to improve to 4-1. Arizona State blanked Northern Michigan 2-0 with both goals coming from Ryan Kirwan and 22 saves from Gibson Homer. 

Clarkson completed a sweep with a 2-1 overtime win over Michigan Tech, thanks to Ryan Richardson’s powerplay goal. Colgate outlasted RIT 4-3, and Sacred Heart edged Holy Cross 2-1. Miami earned a 4-1 win over Lindenwood, and Penn State topped St. Lawrence 3-1. 

Dominic James scored twice in Minnesota-Duluth’s 2-1 win over Stonehill. In exhibition play, #8 Cornell defeated Toronto (Ont.) 6-2, and Princeton shut out Waterloo (Ont.) 6-0.

On the women’s side, Ohio State claimed the Women’s Icebreaker title with a 7-3 victory over No. 11 Cornell. The Buckeyes were led by Jocelyn Amos’ two goals and two assists. Boston College handed #3 Clarkson its first loss of the year, winning 3-1 with three different players scoring. 

Peyton Hemp’s overtime goal lifted #4 Minnesota over upset-minded Minnesota State 3-2 in WCHA action. 

#6 St. Lawrence and RIT played to a 2-2 draw, with SLU winning in a shootout. 

Colgate’s Elyssa Biederman scored twice in a 4-1 win over Maine, bringing her season total to six goals. 

#8 St. Cloud State improved to 7-1-2 after beating St. Thomas 3-1. #9 Quinnipiac also won in a shootout after a 1-1 tie with Yale. #12 Penn State cruised past Stonehill 11-1 with Grace Outwater recording a hat trick in the Icebreaker Third-Place Game. 

Brown completed a sweep of Princeton with a 4-3 win, highlighted by two goals from Jade Iginla. Union defeated Dartmouth 2-1, while RPI blanked Harvard 3-0. New Hampshire edged Vermont 3-2 in Hockey East play. 

Post secured a 3-2 overtime win against Franklin Pierce in NEWHA action. Boston U. rallied to a 3-2 victory over Syracuse, and Merrimack bested Lindenwood 4-1. Robert Morris had a dominant 7-1 win over St. Anselm.

Seventh-ranked North Dakota jumped all over No. 3 Boston University with five first-period goals en route to a 7-2 win at The Ralph. Jackson Kunz scored twice for the Fighting Hawks. 
Fourth-ranked Michigan State blanked Canisius 3-0, improving to 4-1 on the season, while No. 5 Minnesota downed St. Thomas 7-1 behind Sam Rinzel’s two goals and assist. 

No. 6 Maine stayed unbeaten at 4-0 with a 4-1 victory over Northeastern. No. 9 Colorado College defeated Alaska-Anchorage 2-1 with Kaiden Mbereko making 28 saves. No. 11 Quinnipiac rolled over New Hampshire 8-2, with Andrew Schwartz netting his third of the season. 

No. 12 St. Cloud State edged Augustana 4-3 with Nick Portz scoring twice for the Huskies. No. 13 Providence needed overtime to beat Vermont 3-2 on Nick Poisson’s first goal of the season. 

No. 18 Minnesota State beat No. 16 Omaha 4-3 with Rhett Pitlick scoring the game-winner in the final minute. 

No. 17 Notre Dame defeated LIU 4-1, while No. 19 Ohio State downed Bowling Green 3-1. 

In Atlantic Hockey, Air Force took a 2-1 OT win over American International, with Brendan Gibbons forcing OT and Austin Schwartz scoring the winner. Bentley bested Army West Point 6-3, and Niagara routed Robert Morris 7-3. Ferris State topped Bemidji State 4-2, Union beat RPI 6-3, and Arizona State took down Northern Michigan 3-1. 

Clarkson earned a 4-1 win over Michigan Tech, Colgate edged RIT 5-4, and Holy Cross pulled out a 2-1 OT win against Sacred Heart. Lindenwood won 4-2 over Miami, Penn State defeated St. Lawrence 4-3, and Minnesota-Duluth beat Stonehill 5-1. In exhibition play, No. 10 Michigan beat the USNTDP 5-4 in OT.


In women’s action, there were a pile of upsets. One place an upset DIDN’T happen was in Madison as top-ranked Wisconsin shut out Bemidji State 6-0, with Lacey Eden scoring twice and Laila Edwards netting her 10th goal of the season, keeping the Badgers unbeaten at 10-0. 

No. 2 Ohio State dominated Stonehill 11-0 at the Women’s Icebreaker, with three players each scoring twice. The Buckeyes will face No. 11 Cornell for the title. The Big Red beat No. 12 Penn State 2-0 with Annelies Bergmann recording 37 saves in the shutout.

Fourth-ranked Minnesota rolled past Minnesota State 8-2, led by Natalie Miynkova’s two goals. 

No. 6 St. Lawrence defeated RIT 4-1, and seventh-ranked Colgate jumped to a 4-0 lead and never looked back, defeating Maine 8-3 with two goals from Kaia Malachino. 

Now the upsets - St. Thomas and No. 8 St. Cloud State ended tied at 1-1, with St. Thomas winning the shootout. Brown upended No. 9 Quinnipiac with a 2-1 OT win, thanks to two goals from Monique Lyons. Yale defeated No. 13 Princeton 3-1 with two goals by Cami Bell, and Providence edged No. 14 Northeastern 2-1. 

Elsewhere, RPI beat Dartmouth 3-1, Union blanked Harvard 3-0, Vermont took down New Hampshire 4-3, Franklin Pierce edged Post 3-2, Boston University handled Syracuse 4-1, Merrimack topped Lindenwood 5-1, and Robert Morris beat St. Anselm 6-1.

It's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for October 24, 2024. We just had one game tonight and it was top-ranked Wisconsin hosting Bemidji State. Let’s get to it -  No analysis, no breakdowns, it’s JUST THE SCORES. 

Thursday’s lone game in the land of major college hockey was in Madison where Laila Edwards scored her nation-leading ninth goal of the season as three other Badgers also scored to lead undefeated and top-ranked Wisconsin past Bemidji State 4-0 in WCHA action.

Wisconsin improved to 9-0 on the season and is 5-0 in the WCHA.

With that being the only game, let’s set the table for Friday. 

On the women’s side,  No. 1 Wisconsin finishes up the second half of its home series against Bemidji State, while Minnesota State travels to No. 4 Minnesota. No. 8 St. Cloud State faces St. Thomas in the front end of a home-and-home.

In non-conference action, No. 2 Ohio State hosts Stonehill in the IceBreaker, which also includes No. 11 Cornell taking on No. 12 Penn State. 

In other ranked action, No. 3 Clarkson visits Boston College, No. 6 St. Lawrence plays RIT, and No. 7 Colgate hosts Maine. 

In the ECAC, No. 9 Quinnipiac plays Brown, No. 13 Princeton faces Yale, Dartmouth visits RPI, and Harvard is at Union.

In Hockey East, No. 14 Northeastern takes on Providence, and Vermont visits New Hampshire.

In NEWHA, Franklin Pierce plays Post.

Other non-conference action sees Merrimack at Lindenwood, Robert Morris is at St. Anselm and Boston University is at Syracuse.

Friday’s men’s college hockey schedule features several ranked non-conference matchups. No. 1 Denver hosts No. 20 Wisconsin, while No. 3 Boston University travels Grand Forks to face No. 7 North Dakota. The only other ranked head-to-head is in Mankato with a battle of Mavericks as No. 16 Omaha faces No. 18 Minnesota State. 

No. 4 Michigan State plays at Canisius, and No. 5 Minnesota hosts St. Thomas in the front-end of a home-and-home that sees Game 2 take place at the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul. No. 6 Maine faces Northeastern in Hockey East action.

Alaska Test Time, Seawolf style  as No. 9 Colorado College heads to Alaska-Anchorage, No. 12 St. Cloud State hosts Augustana, and No. 11 Quinnipiac faces New Hampshire. No. 13 Providence plays Vermont in Hockey East, while UConn visits No. 15 Upon. 

 No. 17 Notre Dame hosts LIU. Rounding out the ranked teams in action, No. 19 Ohio State hosts on Bowling Green on the front-end of a home-and-home there as well.  

In Atlantic Hockey America, Air Force plays at American International, Bentley travels to Army West Point, and Niagara faces Robert Morris. In the CCHA, Bemidji State takes on Ferris State. In the ECAC, Union faces RPI.

In other non-conference games, Arizona State plays at Northern Michigan, Clarkson visits Michigan Tech, Colgate faces RIT, Holy Cross takes on Sacred Heart, Lindenwood plays Miami, St. Lawrence visits Penn State, Stonehill faces Minnesota-Duluth, and the USNTDP visits No. 10 Michigan in an exhibition game.
