It's the season finale! You can't tell from how we're ranting, but we actually like this show! Is Lorelai the victim? Because she's sure acting like it! Rory desperately needs some comfort, but no one will give it to her. Lane is still an afterthought. And Luke might be the most intimacy-challenged man we've ever come across.

There's a lot to cover! Lorelai has a pregnancy scare, Rory receives some criticism, Luke tries to buy a house, Kirk has a ton of money, Sookie's having a baby and Jackson's getting snipped. Plus, we're discussing fanfiction and the wonder that is Archive of Our Own and how the world ends when the site goes down.

There's so much going on in this episode our heads are spinning. Rory is almost unrecognizable. Lorelai is being jealous and petty. Emily and Richard are treating their daughter horribly.

Logan is finally ready for commitment, but his family tries to derail his relationship before it's even left the ground. Paris brings in reinforcements when Doyle is sick and Lorelai needs Luke to pick up the slack at the inn. Is this the beginning of the end for Lorelai and Rory's perfect relationship?

Could this possibly be the worst episode of the season? We seem to think so. There are filler episodes, and then there's whatever the hell this was. The Stars Hollow Historial Society make one of the worst museums in human history and Rory, Lane and Paris are all having boy trouble.

Lorelai isn't just gonna show up to Friday Night Dinner because she and Luke got back together, Emily! You're still the reason they broke up. Rory's not just gonna leave the party with you because you're jealous, Logan! If you didn't want her going with Robert, you should have asked her yourself! And Kirk! Where are your bottoms?

There's so much going on in this episode it's kinda hard to keep track. Lorelai and Rory are having a belated and unnecessary sex talk. Emily refuses to take accountability for her actions. Luke is grumpy as hell. Lane is not having sex until he puts a ring on it. Luke and Lorelai get back together. Did we get everything?

Lorelai is dealing with the aftermath of her and Luke's breakup the best she can, but we all know she's missing him. He's obviously missing her, too, but he's too stubborn to say so. Not even Fiddler on the Roof can bring these two together. And Rory and Marty's friendship is put to the test when Logan and his idiot friends can't play nice.

Following the disastrous wedding, Luke and Lorelai are on the rocks. All Luke wants is a little time. But Lorelai has never been a patient person. What does it mean to "hang out"? Is it casual? Are other people involved? Logan and Rory set the record straight.

Gilmore Girls is celebrating its 100th (episode) birthday and it's jam-packed with wit, sarcasm and drama. It's everything good television is all about. We're also talking about television greatness and mediocrity.

The party is definitely over. Rory and Dean are over! Praise be! Emily and Richard are manipulating Rory and trying to pawn her off on the highest bidder. Lorelai and Luke should be getting romantic, but Liz and TJ won't stop yelling. But that kiss...

We've already talked about it, but we're still so disappointed in Lane's story and her first date. Luke is re-meeting the parents and they're being straight-up hostile. The scheming has begun. And I think we can all agree that this is the beginning of Logan and Rory's romance. They're already adorable.

Things are heating up in the newsroom while Paris returns to her old self and Rory starts her journey of self-doubt. Norman Mailer is stopping by the inn and we have to wonder why ASP would subject us to such a misogynist. Finally, and unfortunately, it's the return of Christopher which brings with it Lorelai's blinders. Don't tell me that Rory doesn't know exactly who her father is...

Things being awkward between a separated Emily and Richard? Normal. Zach ignoring Lane after she told him she likes him? NOT NORMAL. Lorelai wanting to make things less awkward for Rory and Dean? Normal. Lorelai wanting to double date with Rory and Dean? NOT NORMAL.

Two episodes into this relationship and anyone with eyes can see that Rory and Dean's relationship isn't going anywhere. Lorelai's learning that being a girlfriend means taking your partner's feelings into account. And the town is ready for a change. But is Jackson ready to be a leader? No. He said so himself.

This is not a drill! Luke and Lorelai are finally going on their first date! NOT. A. DRILL. But is their intimacy a little weird? Conversation during the date leads to the discovery of a lot more plot holes. While Emily and Richard's separation is in full swing, Rory's heading back to school and meeting new people and a new love interest.

There are filler episodes, and then there's THIS filler episode. We're taking a deep dive into the episode that didn't give us much. Lane might have a crush on Zack, Rory and Lorelai make up, Emily Gilmore's in her slut era frolicking around Europe, and Dean refuses to take accountability. All that, and yet, we're still so bored.

We hate (not really) to keep coming back to Jess, but it's kinda hard when ASP makes him such a big part of the episode. Lorelai's feeling down about her relationship's demise, while Luke is on the hunt for a relationship of his own. When Paris finally realizes that she's not about that Geezer Life, said geezer pulls her back in with his tricks and schemes. And who would have thought that two married kids with no income or plan to speak of would be having marital problems! Certainly not I!

We're confronting everyone this week! Jason is left stranded when Richard tries to protect his family, and Lorelai is put in a tough spot. Paris is slowly unraveling when it comes to Asher and we get to the bottom of their relationship and the power imbalance between them. Lane yells at New Lane and feels left behind.

A Friday Night Dinner scene with the most pointless conversation reveals something much deeper about the show and its relationships. A second dinner with old friends turns sour when Floyd decides to sue Richard and Jason. Carole, you're a shady bitch! You knew all along! What happens when an 18-year-old gets married right out of high school and you're still pining for your ex? Dean happens! Jeffrey's also teaching you about what soap operas and Amy Sherman-Palladino have in common.

It's Paris' trip and we're all just along for the ride! We're talking about all things Spring Break and how it's portrayed in American media. The Original Lorelai Gilmore dies leaving behind her a path of destruction that has only been matched by a category 5 hurricane. How much does Emily Gilmore have to take!?

The brilliance of season 4 strikes again! This week's episode is all about Emily Gilmore and her obvious (to us) depression and feelings of inadequacy. That final scene in the episode is *chef's kiss!*. We're also taking a closer look at Dean, since the writers insist on shoving him down our throats, and Jeffrey makes a somewhat accurate analogy. Were you afforded sick days as a child? No? Neither were we! We're also sharing childhood stories that involve surgery.

Three Lorelais, three breakdowns - one more enjoyable than the other two. Gran is back and she's causing problems, like usual. You know who else is back? We don't even wanna say his name! We hate him! Sookie's showing us exactly why we have so many issues with her, the girls are missing each other and running to the men in their lives for comfort.

This is the best episode of the entire season - fight me! The writing, the character development, the plot, the dialogue... We can go on and on. Jess is causing turmoil all over - from the townspeople to his family members to Rory, who, according to Lorelai, is completely over the situation. If you look very closely, you can see the rift forming between Richard and Emily. In the final moments of the episode, we learn another interesting fact: Rory can't run.

Are you familiar with the films of Demi Moore? You're about to be! When that conversation is over, we're talking about all the storylines in this episode, and it's chaotic. Lane and Mrs. Kim are still at odds, as are Paris and Jamie. Luke's sister, Liz, is in town and we're learning more about her relationships with the men in her life. Trauma? Abuse? So much of it where Jess is concerned! He's clearly having some issues that we're going to discuss.

There are three story lines in this episode, but let's be honest, we only care about one of them. The Lane vs. Mrs. Kim battle 4 years in the making is finally gracing our screens and we have so many feelings! Because we also have to talk about those pesky Gilmore Girls, we're exploring Luke and Lorelai's friendship/communication issues and why people think that Rory believes she's the center of the universe.

Let's get something straight: friends don't just casually talk to each other about culs-de-sac. The "s" is silent. We're seeing a more human side of Michel, until he rolls baby Truman under the bed, and we're getting to know Jason, his traumatized dog, and his little quirks that lead us to a bedroom straight out of a magazine. Paris' new relationship has us questioning Rory's character and asking ourselves, "why do people cheat?"

It's the podcast that keeps on giving! No, we're not talking about THIS podcast. We're talking about Scott Patterson's podcast, I Am All In. After we analyze his thoughts, we move on to Yale, where some heterosexuals are doing something with a ball - no homo! And we meet Brennan the Frog Guy. There've been a lot of frogs, man.

There's a new podcast in town and we're positive it doesn't like us. Are the Gilmore Girls fatphobic? Is ASP fatphobic? We're discussing one of the most glaring instances of fat shaming from the show and talking about our own body issues. The marriage jug storyline may not be as useless as we once thought, Lorelai thinks Luke's life is her life but her life isn't Luke's life and Emily's feeling the life she always had slipping away.

It's the only episode to win a major television award and for good reason! The costumes are gorgeous. But are the performances as amazing? Kirk is doing some light reading to prepare for the role of a lifetime and the band is auditioning new guitarists (spoiler alert: not all of them are winners). Have you ever heard of a couple wanting to get divorced and date at the same time? No? Is that not a thing? Didn't think so.

Have you ever freaked out so badly that you paid someone 20$ for a tree? Neither have we. Have you ever gone to a party and said, "Hmm, you know what I need? A broccoli tart!" Neither have we.

The claws are out! Jeffrey and Eleni get into a heated debate when talking about Rory's college dating life. Lorelai is being her usual petty self and bringing an unsuspecting interior designer down with her. Sookie and Jackson decide on a baby name and it's terrible - but so is the alternative. We're continuing our discussion of cancel and celebrity culture by bringing Britney Spears into the mix. Then, we're talking about Paris settling in at school, new characters (some better than others), the beginnings of Richard and Emily's rift, and the failed attempt to give Sookie a deeper story - which has us wondering about society's treatment of overweight women.

The Gilmore Girls are heading to Yale and running into familiar faces and meeting new ones. Could this be the best episode of Gilmore Girls ever? We discuss. We're also talking about an essay by Robin Silbergleid, who notes that if Lorelai was Black or poor, she wouldn't have been such a great role model in the early 2000s.

We're kicking season 4 off with what we do best - talking about something else for the first 20 minutes of the episode. Once we do get around to talking about episode 1, we've got lots to say about Lorelai being annoying, Luke being insignificant, Sookie and Jackson being trash and Rory growing up.
