167. When Stress Steals Your Clarity: How to Come Home to Yourself02 Jul 202500:21:50

If stress has left you overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure of your next step — this episode is for you.

We unpack why so many women feel stuck in survival mode and how real, lasting change doesn’t come from controlling others or chasing the next quick fix — it comes from coming home to yourself.

You’ll learn how your nervous system holds the key to building true inner capacity, helping you rewire your reality, and how breath, stillness, and emotional processing are potent tools for reclaiming peace and power.

This is an invitation to stop outsourcing your energy, anchor into your knowing, and finally make space for what you deeply want.

In this episode:

  • What stress really is (and why it’s not your fault)
  • How to stop wasting energy trying to change other people
  • Why nervous system regulation is the foundation for clarity and confidence
  • How breath and presence help dissolve anxiety and open access to your inner wisdom
  • The power of curiosity and allowing space for your emotions

If this resonates ... you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it out on your own. If you’re ready to build a foundation that can’t be shaken — reach out. Let’s talk. https://calendly.com/coachwithmikki/co-parent-breakthrough-call

36. The Great Expectations15 Jun 202200:21:36

Mikki talks about expectations. Every day we consciously and unconsciously set expectations for ourselves and other people. We paint a picture in our minds of what SHOULD be happening. This is all good until the other people or the circumstances of life fail to meet that picture in our mind. When that picture isn’t met in real life, we feel disappointed, resentful and that can lead to shame and anger.

Mikki walks us through the process of peeling back the layers of our expectations so that we can become aware of our unexpressed, unexamined ones and create healthy ones instead.

If you are ready to explore what expectations you might have that are holding you back … then join me for a free workshop I am hosting Monday, June 27th at 2pm Eastern. In this expectations workshop we are going to take a deep dive into the process of examining and releasing the harmful expectations and then creating healthy expectations that serve you. 35. Self-Soothing08 Jun 202200:25:01

In this episode, Mikki talks about self-soothing... what it is and what it looks like. She offers some tangible, simple actions you can take to regain balance and get yourself back into equilibrium.

Mikki will walk you through ways to create your own Self-Soothing and Stress Relief Tool Kit so you have it ready for those times when stress and emotions tend to run high. When we’re in the grips of emotional overload it can be difficult to remember the things that work to soothe us.

Getting proactive with ways you self-soothe ahead of time is such a powerful way to care for yourself, especially if you tend to reach for the Ben and Jerry’s or the Pinot Noir when you’re upset. Having a self-soothe tool kit ready to go can help to curb self-numbing behaviors.

If you want personal help identifying an area where you get activated and dysregulated, and you need some help giving yourself the tools and skills to live the life you truly desire with ease, then let’s get on a Clarity Call.

29. Keeping the Little Promises27 Apr 202200:20:27

In this episode, Mikki opens up the conversation of what real self-care is, what it looks like and what it can accomplish. Self-care isn’t a luxury. Self-care is not selfish. Self-care is a necessity to be the woman, mom and human you want to be.

It seems counterintuitive to focus on yourself to be better for others, but it is true. When we are taking care of our mind, body and spirit every day, we gain the trust and confidence in our own capacity to show up for those we love, when things are hard, when our strength is needed most.
