"And what was really interesting is I actually saw someone post about this on threads. They had asked or talked to a friend, talked to a therapist, and talked to ChatGPT about whatever was going on in their lives. The most empathetic response they received was from AI, not a human. And this is interesting on multiple levels, right? Because AI can be very agreeable with us, which drives me nuts, by the way, when I'm using it myself."

"Former NASA rocket scientist, the journalist, TV personality slash journalist, the girlfriend, pop star, another scientist and activist, right? They made this narrative of who was going to go, but then whoever they got to do the suits decided it was important to make the suits flattering and sexy. These are two words you never heard when they're designing suits for men to go to space or to do anything, really. So not only is it infantilizing that women prioritize fashion, but it's also objectifying."

"For example, collaborative storytelling, rotating of jobs I've been thinking about. But although I haven't put anything out there yet around, we see so much focus on being independent, don't be codependent. But not hardly anything about interdependence and wanting to dig into that anyway and the complex systems and what would be required to do this and. And scaling and everything else."

"How do we create something that fulfills, and this is a huge and maybe impossible ask, but fulfills the need and desire for status and reputation, something that can replace hierarchies and it may not end up being a thing to replace it, but more like an off ramp to just a different way of thinking. Just seeing that we, each one of us are worthy of existing, of taking up space, of having our voices heard."

"You're choosing to communicate something to somebody else. You want that action, that expression to influence them if they're not influenced by it. That is inhuman. To teach young children, for example, to lean into this concept is to minimize part of their humanity, to elevate a part of their humanity, and also to compartmentalize and distance them from other humans."

"And I hate to put it that way, but at the same time, I think it's important that we reflect on whatever stories or narratives we tell ourselves. That's a difficult conversation. And like this is just me and my thoughts and my experiences. And I only have, what, limited feedback some guys will talk with me about. "I remember having a conversation several months ago now talking with some people about how important it is that we are even more thoughtful and intentional as we move forward. And I feel like that's, that's the bottom line of where I come to with this is that going forward with AI, I need to be even more thoughtful and intentional than I am say for using Google or something like that. "So that it does come toppling down. I think what the tricky thing is though, is that in order to create a strategic plan that is effective in creating, but also in anticipating of how things can go wrong, that is important that you maintain the foundations of democracy, of government. You may have to create new ways of doing democracy and government, but it has to be done legally and within some of the structures that already exist."

Like I'm trying to buy into his belief, I'm trying to understand it. Right, but the question is why you chose to be a woman. Why? Right. "There's so much nuance and complexity to our humanity, and yet we've sort of. I. Some of it, I think, has happened organically, but some of it's been nudged and manipulated to become so reductive and binary in our ways of thinking and then to weaponize that, right? Like, don't, like, follow. Don't follow. And then, you know, think about outside influences trying to enhance division."

Because it's so easy to just point at one another than it is to say, let's zoom out a little bit, right? What's really going on?"

"Like, because if you can't address the third threat, then you can't keep a foundation of what it is that you value, right? So, like, let me back up. Starting several decades ago, certain politicians decided it was important to interweave morality and religion with political stances. They weaponized it. Morals and religion are not inherent to political parties or political decisions."

So you make $28,000, they're going to increase your taxes even higher than if you make, say, $150,000. Because they can't increase taxes on themselves, the rich. That would defeat the purpose. Okay, so I mentioned in a previous episode There was this KGB defector and he explained, and it was either 1984 or 1989, where he was in an interview and he talked about how despite the narratives that we have about what the KGB does, 85% of what they do is all about long term, complex planning."

"If you ask fellow Americans, like who, who is Canada, who are Canadians? You'll often hear messages like, well, Canada is like U.S. light. They're like the younger sibling, or they don't really have culture. They're super polite and super nice and super vanilla. Right. And there are multiple issues with this one. It's super reductive and not at all true, but it then blinds you to the reality. So I don't know how long ago this was."

"I think it was around 2016, a quote unquote bestseller that is apparently not known in the west, but came out in Russia was a sci fi novel called the Third Empire. The author of that bit of that book, they believe was also one of the authors that was a part of Project Russia. Now, the sci fi novel takes this to the nth degree. And so this might be the end point that I refer to as being completely and totally outlandish."

"But we're using our human lens and overlaying it onto entities or beings that do not, will not in any way shape or form really mirror humans. So, for example, we have finite lives, and so the brevity of our lives impacts the things that we're concerned about. Or if you think about at this moment in time, we cannot regrow limbs. But an AI robot will be able to transfer their data consciousness from one location to another."

"Right? And, and then future generation, there's just so much there. So how do you moralize anything to do with food or weight? You can no longer assume that what a person is or isn't doing is evident by looking at the body. Another great example of the flashlight versus the spotlight is when it comes to conversations around, there are only two sexes, XX and xy. Actually, if you pull out that spotlight, you'll find there are more chromosomal pairings than just those two."

"Some of it can be innocuous. You just don't want to talk about something and so you're slapping a smile on to sort of just create some distance. It's not anything nefarious. And then you have all the way to the other extreme of where it is nefarious. So, like, I know how it feels personally. And then to experience this on this larger scale, and I can only imagine that this, this is kind of like gaslighting, right? Not kind of. It is."

"This was done by three different universities, two in Australia, one in Ireland. They created brand new accounts on these platforms, brand new phones, brand new phone numbers, brand new email address, brand new names, and made them all mail to see what the algorithms would do and what they would feed them. In one example, they gave them videos on the Office and Star Wars. By day three, they were starting to see radical, radicalized videos and highly misogynistic videos."

If economists know that capitalism is designed to destroy itself, sociologists know that democracy and capitalism sort of work hand in hand and the inevitability if these things are not structured well is to lead into authoritarianism."

"But these ideas of for the people, by the people are still perpetuated. But it's a lie, right? It's, it's to keep us rocking and rolling along as if we can still achieve the American dream, as if these things still matter. But it's all misdirection, smoke and mirrors. "He touches on this in the video, but I had forgotten. And so I look up humming and allergies, sinus infections, asthma, okay? And it turns out that one of the benefits to humming is to impact these things. So apparently we have nitric oxide that, when you are breathing through your nose, flows naturally the nitric oxide, and it acts as a bronchodilator. So basically, it keeps all the bronchial tubes open in your lungs so that you can breathe well."

"We we're told that we need to align all of those things according to neurotypicals. So, for example, I can experience a 0.7 degree difference in temperature from one room to the next. I can also tell you even if all four tires on a vehicle are within the normal range of air pressure, I can tell you which one has less air in it. And then yet I'm told over and over again, you couldn't possibly sense that temperature or see that air pressure difference."

"I also can recognize that I have autism, and there's a profile called pathological demand avoidance or persistent drive for autonomy. And there's also often this need, this drive for a sense of justice. And so if you combine perhaps trauma, the profile, need for justice into this, like, cauldron of whatever, Christina. Right."

"This episode, I'm taking a bit of a detour. I still have a lot I'm pondering around violent communication and plumbing the depths of violent delights. But I want to just sort of share this because it was an aha moment that I had recently that I sort of want to document. I was having a conversation with someone and we were talking about the topic of shame. I don't remember the context, and I knew that we had different definitions of the word shame and guilt."

"And when people are already uneasy and afraid and concerned, then it's easy to latch onto the inflammatory idea rather than digging for knowledge or leaning into the knowledge that contradicts the narrative that fits how we're feeling, right? And then you look at an aspect of human behavior where certain things will cause a relief of tension. So, for example, comedic relief, right?"

"Or maybe it's not just an illusion. There are times when vengeance seems to be. When people do violent acts as well. And in some cases, that's approved of, and in some cases it's not. And I think also when you think about activism, there's. There's a whole bunch of other steps that can be done before reaching the point of violence. But when some. When things have not worked up to that point, it's almost a last resort. Right."

"So then I think if that's the case, then realistically I am having unrealistic expectations, hopes for human behavior with respect to violence. That is from a perspective that's on the outside of the bell curve, right? If other humans do exist like me, then maybe I'm an outlier and I'm trying to see the rest of the world and other humans through a lens that just does not apply to them. And on the flip side, their lens doesn't necessarily apply to me."

"But I was thinking about all of the nuances that are involved with the different auroras and the colors and the intensities of what if instead of it simply being temperature, density, humidity, that have to do with like how cloud formation happens. What if there's an additional component in the mammothous clouds that has to do with the type of molecule, or even not just molecule, but type of particulate, because clouds are forming around particulates."

"Or the way that someone will start laughing, and then you hear somebody else start laughing and you don't even know what's so funny, but then you find yourself laughing. It's sort of contagious, right? It's. It's a part of your genetic makeup, so to speak. But cognitive empathy is something that we have to teach children of. What would it feel like if you had your toy stolen or if you were hit, right?"

"And this is bizarre to me, because when that happens, it's not the values that are firm, it's the identity. And so that means that you can be a Republican or a Democrat, you're lifelong. But because those groups, those labels, mean different things through time, that means that whether you like it or not, if you're aligning with that identity and your identity comes first, then your actuality, your values are changing. And so then I'm thinking, what is?"

"So I actually got to see this firsthand today and it kind of blew my mind. I went into a room on Clubhouse with people I've never talked with before and it was on sustainable leadership. And the men were talking about things from a very, I'll say, abstract way. They're talking about systems and economics and numbers."

"And we make individually, we make decisions based on what we want most or what will benefit us most, or which in group we want to be a part of, etc. But throw a bit of technology in there and suddenly we have another animal. I was reading an article the other day where a gentleman was talking about the very near Future, as in 2025, or in some cases 2026."

"And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with these per se, but I think there's a beautiful understanding with respect to seeing relationships as seasonal. Sometimes someone comes into our life temporarily and they go again, and maybe they come back, or we go and we come back, or maybe we don't. But while we were in relation to one another, there's something beautiful there."

"I married the son of a preacher man, the whole nine. So this is not at all foreign to me. Just the where it is today of labels and boxes and hierarchies playing such a pivotal role in being able to have any sort of dialogue around belief and non belief or scripture. And to hold up scripture as some paragon, but then to brush it aside when someone does come to you with receipts around what's in scripture. It was really surreal."
