After several amazing episodes this season episode 7 was a bit of a letdown. Not in the sense that it was a waste of an hour or what have you, dear listeners. Every season needs an episode that feels like its only job to prepare the audience for the finale, and The Bear and the Maiden Fair set us up nicely. Yes, positivity is needed after a meandering George R.R. Martin penned episode that focused on the many relationships of Westeros. Also, super awesome dragons.

This week Game of Thrones decided to take a relaxing break from all the dragon city burning, hand chopping madness from the previous episodes. Instead they focused on the darker themes like “Your life will never get better, Sansa.” And “There are no happy endings, everyone.” While The Climb was one of the more difficult episodes to watch the Cast of Thrones gang tried to bring some levity and hopefully make a few smiles along the way.

When I was a young man I often dreamed of revenge. After watching this weeks episode of Game of Thrones I now realize that I had no idea how to properly act on my vengeance. Granted, playground insults do not compare with becoming a eunuch or trying to take your baby dragon, but a part of me felt satisfied in their victories. Listen as we discuss all the ins and outs of this terrific episode!

A dust settles on the battlefield. A group of haggard warriors lift off their headphones knowing that their victory over the Clash of Kings book club was complete.
