Carousel Radio – Details, episodes & analysis

For the final Carousel Radio show, Jason and Joel present music, stories and poems from artists with a learning disability or Autism. The show includes an update from the Oska Bright Team as they prepare for another film festival, music from the Carousel Chorus and Carousel Anthem Musicians, sea-themed poems in ‘You, Me & The Sea’, audio diaries about living independently for the first time in 'Sounds Like My Life', and ideas for changing the country from St. John's College in Brighton in 'When I'm Prime Minister'.

We also hear from Team Domenica, a Brighton-based organisation who support young people with learning disabilities to acquire the skills and confidence needed to get paid employment & reach their full potential.

Bubble Club creates social and artistic opportunities for learning disabled people in and around London. They host regular live music club nights at a mainstream venue on Brick Lane, in the heart of East London. They also run art projects and DJ workshops as well as make podcasts and live radio.

Adrian Clarke is a singer, guitarist and saxophonist in the band, The Carbonators who are supported by Club Soda in Croydon in south London.

Robyn Rocket Steward is an author, an educator who provides autism training, and co-host of the ‘1800 seconds on Autism’ podcast for BBC Sounds. Robyn organises regular live music events called 'Robyn's Rocket' in  London, offering a space for experimental music and improvisation by musicians with and without a Disability. 
As a composer and trumpet player, Robyn has released 30 EPs,  singles and albums. Over this two-part podcast, Robyn picks a selection of tracks from her back catalogue, and talks about her journey and inspirations as an artist and event organiser.
