We plant a herb garden and get more than blooms. We are given myths, healing and wise companions on our journey.
We see what can grow in the broken ground of grief and find that life grows not in spite of the broken places, but because of them.
Some seeds require disturbance in order to grow. If we try to cut out the things that hurt and that are difficult, then we also cut out all the joy.
When we garden wild, we are celebrating a connection, a companionship, an honoring of our place in a vital biodiverse environment.
We blow the dandelion with its seeds of wishes out into the world!
LIFE arrives, reaching for the light, bathing in tears, reckless and determined to grow wild and lush over what was once barren stone.
Her writing spans non-fiction, memoir, poetry and games-based storytelling. It was long listed for the inaugural Nan Shepherd Prize (2019), and the Penguin WriteNow (2020) programme, and was a winner of a Northern Debut Award (2020) for non-fiction from New Writing North, and an early extract won the Mother’s Milk Writing Award 2017.
Vik founded Wild Women Press in 1999 to support rural women writers in her community and curates the global Wild Woman Web project, an inclusive online space focusing on nature, connection, and creativity.

What if the veil didn’t separate the worlds but was the world—the whole fabric of existence? From this side, we see only the knots, the tangles, the threads cut short too soon. What if we could feel the long thread of our souls entangling with other threads? What if we could follow a red thread through to the other side of the tapestry as it becomes a dress, a jewel, a rose, a pair of lips, a heart? What if we could glimpse the picture of our lives from the other side? That’s what the dead do, of course—they see at last what life is really for. To touch that reality we have only to pull on a thread and wait for the tug on a heartstring.”

She serves as CEO for Brice Media and has worked with Kim Kardashian, Cassandra Wilson as well as creating marketing campaigns for many companies including the American Heart Association and the brilliant Barack Obama Mural for Barack Obama Elementary School in Jackson, MS.
She was a member of the Mississippi Business Journal’s 50 leading business women class of 2013 and Top 50 under 40 for 2016. He founded and still serves as president of Valley Watch, Inc. whose purpose is "to protect the [public health and environment of the lower Ohio River Valley. He also published, for three years a monthly newspaper called the Ohio Valley Environment during a really activist surge in the early 1980s.

In 1997, John, had an epiphany regarding the need to eliminate coal as an energy source.
During the early 2000s, he was instrumental in stopping a number of new coal plants as well as helping establish new rules for national air quality standards and helping to establish a number of small community-based organization that usually successfully fought local environmental issues.
Since 2018, he has been working with one of those groups-SW indiana Citizens For Quality of Life in Spencer County, IN to stop a bizarre proposal to build a coal to diesel refinery.

In this episode, we are reminded that in our best moments, when we are trusting the divine process, we want not just salvation but purification. The goal is to actually be on fire! That way, anything that comes into our orbit in our being can move from being raw to being "cooked". There is such a fire, the fire of Divine love. We explore this "cooking" process as a spiritual metaphor delivered via the mystical wisdom of Grandma Opal.
We are reminded that many times when we need to stay right here, present with what is, to be patient with the preparation of our being, trusting of the process we try to escape the "cooking". What we feel as discomfort, pain, grief, anger, anxiety, fear and all manner of emotions incases us in a shell that needs this cooking to be softened into comfort, peace, trust, and love.
When we allow the "cooking" process to enrich and flavor our lives we can expect more of all the words we have to describe good “taste” to begin describing our lives...your life can be an amazing, appetizing, delightful, enticing, exquisite, divine, luscious, delicious, sweet, savory, yummy, scrumptious, lip-smacking, distinctively spicy life!!!

In this episode, we are saved by a superhero, Jim Poyser.
We are reminded that there’s no time to waste so we cut to the chase. We are inspired to make art to confront the greatest existential threat that humanity has faced in recorded history by bringing honesty, humor, and compassion to all our interactions.
We embrace that conflict is at the heart of creativity and that we need to get our hands dirty to connect, make discoveries, and make an impact. There’s no way to have an authentic conversation about the climate crisis without getting outside our comfort zone.
We are inspired when we are in the thick of it whether it’s a challenging rehearsal, a personal life struggle, or an overwhelming sense of despair in the face of the climate crisis, we remember that the only way out is through. We take a deep breath, hop off the Hope-and-Despair Wheel, and do the work, connect with our communities, and adapt to our circumstances in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
We vow to Take Action by contacting our local, state, and federal Representatives to pass climate legislation and make sure that they hear our voices directly.
We are encouraged to Leave No Trace. When we make a mess, we clean it up. We take responsibility for the impact that we make.
We laugh, we cry, we sing, we do skits, and we have dance parties!
We are reminded that Earth is the only planet in our galaxy that can support life. Scientists estimate that Earth is home to about 300,000 plant species, over 600,000 species of fungi, and about ten million animal species. We are made aware that we’re the life of the party!

She is considered the Mama Bear of the LGBTQ+ community. She is a powerful and profound voice reminding us to always choose love and inclusion. She shared with us that the height of spiritual abuse is to take God away.
She taught us how to decolonize God!
Susan explains how we are called to be radically included and- yep- that means radically inclusive of others. We discover that Jesus does NOT want to you throw out your child because of who they love!
Find out if your convicted or conditioned. If you are confused, ask God to show you how you are loved.
A freed heart won't take it if it feels like fear but, most of all...if it feels like love it's God!

We make our Love visible. No scripture or sermon is necessary to live according to love...every heart knows the way.
We ask, If love is all we need - then why hasn't there ever been enough love to make our suffering go away? We find out the answer.
Expand to hold the wisdom that the origin of our pain is our belief that we are separate from everything, separate from love.
See how when we reject what we label “bad” we are stuck in a cycle of pain- what we resist...persists.
Invite whatever comes into my awareness...I will love unconditionally as an equal part of all that I am.

Mary was a staunchly agnostic healthcare executive living in Washington, DC when she began venturing uncontrollably into mystical experiences in the company of Jesus, Buddha and angels.
She finally surrendered her “normal” life and spent several years in a tiny nunnery in the Himalayas coming to terms with her unexpected abilities. Her profound experiences are both a road map and an invitation into the Divine wisdom we all hold within.
Mary’s work is a palpable transmission of Divine Love as evidenced in her three books — Unwitting Mystic Evolution of the Message of Love, Divine New Being A Sublime Guided Passage to the End of Hell, and Humanity’s Epic Awakening A Mystical Odyssey Beyond Belief.

We can choose our destination but we need to know exactly where we are and where we wish to go.
Love is the only way and when it feels like it is not love it is only just a lack of love.

A California Poet in the Schools, Meredith leads Writing By Heart workshops at public & private schools, women’s prisons, The Institute for Poetic Medicine, The Kennedy Center for the Arts, wellness retreats, and online for adults and teens.
We ask the question…Do you write the poem or does the poem write you?

Her passion is empowering people to believe in themselves, trust their creative instincts, tap their wild wisdom, express their truth, and ignite their hearts.
She is the author of Write a Poem, Save Your Life, and three poetry collections, Songlines, Yuba Witch, & River Spells. Meredith was selected as a teaching-artist for an online education program through The Kennedy Center for the Arts. She was made a Poetry Partner by the Institute of Poetic Medicine, and she receives a grant from them each year to teach in the women's prisons.
Meredith says, “If writing has claimed you as its own, as it has me, you will know that writing is how we breathe, how we bloom from darkness into love. Dig deep into the caverns of your memories, thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
