Dr. Vajira Weerasekara was awarded as a Forbeck Scholar by William Guy Forbeck Research Foundation in 2020 to acknowledge the contribution to the Cancer Research (https://www.wgfrf.org/blog/2019/9/9/2020-forbeck-scholars-announced).

He is currently working as a Research Fellow in Medicine at

Cancer Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, USA.

He completed his P.hD in Biochemistry in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Brigham Young University, USA

He completed his BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
