Thank you for listening to this episode in our Canal View Voices podcast series.
At Canal View Primary School in Edinburgh our houses are named after different points on the Union Canal (the Canal that runs beside our school). Each episode of the podcast shares facts and stories from one of those locations (Almond, Leamington, Ratho and Slateford).
P5 learners from each house team created these podcasts. We gathered information about our house location and interviewed people connected to that place. We created our own questions and then recorded the facts and stories we liked best.
We had some great help with our podcast.
Chief Chebe, a storyteller from Ghana came to school to teach us how to tell stories. He helped us use music and songs and say ‘mmmmmhmmmmmm’ to make our stories more fun. THANK YOU CHIEF! https://cheefchebe.com/about/
Dan Gray who is a writer and podcast maker came to help us learn how to make a podcast and he recorded with us and edited these podcasts for us. THANK YOU DAN! https://danielgraywriter.com/
A big thank you to Edinburgh 900 for funding this project.
