We meet Mackenzie (Fund Development Manager) and Kate (Registered Nurse) to learn about all the love behind hospice care, and how they are helping to shine a light, in the dark.

LOVE INSIGHTS: Love Through The Lens21 Jul 202200:39:23

On the Canadian Love Map, we've heard about weddings of all kinds, both extravagant and intimate. Whether it's a ceremony in front of hundreds of people, or tying the knot privately under a palm tree, the common thread is love.

In a very our first LOVE INSIGHTS episode, we step into the world of the wedding industry, from the perspective of the people responsible for capturing one of the most important days in their client's lives.

Weddings aren't always smooth sailing. So when the seas get choppy, it's often the role of the professionals involved to take the helm and steer the proceedings back to peaceful waters. We'll hear what this looks like from the point of view of two very different companies who offer very different services to their clients. We find out what they've learned about love through capturing it.

Arrow & Knot built itself on a passion for storytelling through video. Kristen and Jane met while studying Broadcast Journalism, where they brought stories to life through their extensive training in film, editing, and of course, storytelling. Arrow & Knot has a style that is distinctive from anyone else. They produce quality cinematic videos that are timeless and clean, and are guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on its viewers.

Elope Halifax provides stress-free and meaningful small wedding and elopement packages in Halifax. They help simplify the process, so couples can concentrate on the love and not the planning. Tyler uses his photography skills to capture magical moments of the day, while Jennie officiates and tailors each ceremony to fit the personality of their clients, whether that be lighthearted or traditional.

Still Standing Proud30 Jun 202200:48:27

This power couple would describe their love story as nothing special. But to many who have been blessed to know them, they are icons.

Today's love story belongs to Neville and David from Nova Scotia. Neville is a renowned florist and public speaker. David is a travelling hairstylist and talented musician. Together, they own and operate My Mother's Bloomers, a well-loved flower shop.

Growing up, they both lived through the AIDS epidemic and experienced some of the first Pride marches, when things were quite different. Their relationship began at a time when the world was not so accepting of their love.

Despite this, they live very public lives, spreading a message of love, acceptance, and kindness wherever they go. This dynamic duo has been together for nearly three decades later, and are still standing proud.
