Conversations are sometimes difficult.  But they NEED to happen, and keep happening.  The ultimate sacrifices that the women and men of the Canadian Armed Forces, Army, Navy, and Air Forces have made, are the reason that we have the freedoms we enjoy on a daily basis.  Our friend, Army Kris, is one of those incredible people.  We thank him and everyone else who served about 50 times in this episode.

Born and raised in Montreal, Maya decided to take a train to Toronto, and see what happens with her career, after releasing some amazing music back at home!  Taking a page out of Andy Kim's book, she took a chance and inserted herself in T.O. to see what she could make of it.  The result, a new album, acting and voice over work, and that's just the beginning!  This was a fantastic conversation.  Thanks again to our friend, Beth, for making this happen!

Dijah SB Returns08 août 202400:37:40
We are so thankful when artists come back for a second interview!  We last spoke to DijahSB back in January of 2022.  Our friends DJ Cat and Scott Bell were with us for that interview.  Unfortunately, our Derek Lewis couldn't be with us this time round, but Dimetre and Craig had a blast with our old friend.  They are kind of in a bit of a holding pattern as far as shows go, but with DijahSB's upcoming performance at the Polaris Music Prize show for which they are on the shortlist at Massey Hall, we think they'll be plenty busy in the near future!

Okay, so I have adored this band since 1990, when I first saw them open for Rush at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The band is Chalk Circle, and their singer/guitartist/songwriter Chris Tait, also just happens to have one of my favourite singing voices of all time. This Durham, Ontario Region band is still rocking to this day, playing various shows all over. Nothing though, in 2024, yet..... Brad Merritt from 54-4013 juin 202300:58:41
Tsawwassen. It's in British Columbia. How do you pronounce it? Brad from 54-50 gives us the low down on how the locals pronounce it, and how most people outside this border town where his band first got their start pronounce it. 54-40 have been around since the very early 80s. Their career has been a rocky one at times, but they still manage to stick it out, and keep pumping out great albums. From that town I can barely pronounce, to some of the biggest stages in the world, this band has done it all. As always, a massive thanks to our friend Eric Alper! Hope you enjoy this episode, as I greatly enjoyed it, seeing as my new friend Brad managed to give our pal Derek the gears! (You'll see when you listen...) Trevor Hurst From Econoline Crush30 mai 202301:05:26
Dimetre asked our good pal Eric Alper to see if this silly little podcast could get Trevor Hurst from Econoline Crush, a band that we here at CAF completely adore. Eric, as always, gets the job done! This conversation with Trevor is one of our faves. From high school in a small town in B.C., to playing some of the biggest stages on the planet, Econoline Crush and Trevor have done it all. Trevor's stories are amazing, and captivating. Check out this episode, you won't be disappointed.
