Their captive and bus driver, Torino, talked his way through the gate and immediately gunned it forward to take out as many mafiosos as he could. Val managed to find a motel to sleep away the day in, and told Will what she could about the danger of sunlight before passing out. While the Brujah fought their own battle, the coterie faced down two sets of enemies driving into town. In the midst of the Friendship Festival, Pyramid 2.0 leader Dylan Zane tried to manipulate Doris’s tarot deck, but ended up with a reading that suggested chaos was coming. Everett had to wait for Madre at the end of the three-legged race, which Evangeline won and then conceded, and Val returned to the station to try to talk sense into Will, but ultimately agreed that if he still felt the same in three months’ time, she’d turn him into a vampire herself.
