| Joy’s Pregnant! Also, We Have a New Podcast | Ep. 1 | 09 Sep 2026 | 00:45:12 | |
Welcome to the very first episode of the Call Your Sister Podcast! We can’t believe we’re finally saying that.
In this episode, we’re sharing how a casual FaceTime conversation between sisters turned into a brand-new podcast and why Joy and I decided this was the right time to do it. We talk about what you can expect from Call Your Sister, some of the fun things we have planned, and why we want this show to feel like you’re jumping onto one of our regular sister FaceTime calls with us.
But starting a new podcast isn’t even the biggest news of the episode: Joy is pregnant with BABY #4! We talk about how she told me, why this pregnancy has felt so different, and what it’s like stepping back into the baby stage after a bigger age gap.
That leads us into a much deeper conversation about something we both had to rethink as adults: how many children should you have? Growing up, we both assumed that having as many children as possible was simply what you were supposed to do. We talk about questioning those childhood teachings, what Scripture actually says about children and family, and how we’ve learned to approach those decisions with our husbands through prayer, wisdom, and without fear.
Then we lighten things up with some sister talk about Type A vs. Type B moms, perfectly organized refrigerators, dishes sitting in the sink, the pressure to have everything together when you’re hosting, and how social media can make it feel like everyone else is doing motherhood better than you.
We also reveal just how much we actually text and FaceTime each other, confess how terrible we both can be at responding to messages, and talk about why we decided to make room for this podcast.
This is the beginning of something new, and we’re so excited to have you here. Think of Call Your Sister as an hour every week to sit down, catch up, laugh, talk honestly about life, motherhood, faith, family, and all the things we’d normally be talking about on the phone anyway.
So… call your sister. 🤍
Topics covered: Joy Forsyth pregnancy, baby number four, Call Your Sister Podcast, Jinger Vuolo and Joy Forsyth, family size, childhood teachings about children, motherhood, Christian parenting, Type A vs. Type B moms, social media and motherhood, sister relationships

| Joy & Jinger: Why It’s Been Hard to Find Joy | 02 Sep 2026 | 00:41:59 | |
In this episode of the Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, my sister Joy and I are talking all about finding joy — even, and especially, in the hard seasons of life. We start light, talking about the small everyday things that bring us joy right now: home, routine, our kids, beach days, sunsets, and even a few Facebook Marketplace wins (wait until you hear about Joy's chandelier find).
But we also go somewhere deeper. Joy opens up about the miscarriage of her daughter Annabelle at 20 weeks and the season of depression that followed, and how she had to fight against becoming bitter while learning to trust God through something she never saw coming. I share my own experience with postpartum depression after having Evy, along with a spiritual crossroads I walked through where I had to wrestle honestly with hard questions about faith. We talk about the difference between happiness and joy, how joy can return in small, unexpected ways after grief, and why getting your labs and vitamin D checked is such a simple but important reminder when you're feeling low.
We wrap up with a fun rapid-fire on what's currently bringing us joy, and even float the idea of a Jinger & Joy spin-off podcast — let us know what you think! If you've ever walked through loss, depression, or a season where joy felt impossible to find, this conversation is for you.
Topics covered: finding joy after loss, postpartum depression, miscarriage and grief, choosing joy in hard seasons, faith and doubt, motherhood, everyday gratitude, sisters podcast

| So, About My Stress Rash (True Story!) | 26 Aug 2026 | 01:02:12 | |
In this episode of the Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, my sister Joy and I are getting real about something almost every mom deals with: feeling overwhelmed. We're talking about overscheduled kids, overcommitting to social plans, and how to know when a busy season has crossed the line into burnout.
Joy opens up about how her capacity to handle things comes in waves, and why she and Austin made the decision to protect at least three quiet evenings at home each week just to reset as a family. I share how Jeremy and I hit our own breaking point after years of "gone, gone, gone" through ministry and church commitments, and what it took for us to finally say it's time for a change, even when that meant pulling back from good things and worrying about what people would think.
We dig into the difference between a busy season (like a home remodel or a book deadline) versus a lifestyle that's simply unsustainable long term, and the practical ways we've each learned to say no, protect our family's time, and communicate openly about what we can and can't handle in any given week.
If you've ever felt stretched too thin, guilty about pulling back from commitments, or unsure how to reset when life gets too full, this conversation is for you.

| So, About Getting Married Young | 19 Aug 2026 | 01:00:20 | |
In this episode of the Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, I'm sitting down with my sister Joy to talk all things marriage, especially what it's really like getting married young. Joy was 19 when she married Austin, and I was 22 when I married Jeremy, so we're diving into our different timelines, how our age gaps compared, and what marriage actually looked like once the "happily ever after" honeymoon phase wore off.
We get honest about the biggest surprises marriage threw at us — from learning how to communicate (and why miscommunication is behind almost every argument), to balancing work and family life when your husband's job doesn't fit a typical 9-to-5, to figuring out how to find your own voice and opinions after years of just going along with everything. I open up about how I used to be way more passive early in our marriage, and how Jeremy actually pushed me to become more independent... even when that meant a little more "friction" at home!
We also get into some of the funnier, more personal sides of marriage: Jeremy's prankster habit of bringing snakes and reptiles into our house, Austin's germaphobe tendencies and nightly shower routine, and the best piece of marriage advice we've actually stuck with — a simple nightly question that's helped keep our communication open for years.
If you're newly married, engaged, dating young, or just curious what marriage looks like behind the scenes for us, this episode is full of honest, relatable, and encouraging conversation about love, growth, and building a life together.

| So, About Making Friends as an Adult | 12 Aug 2026 | 00:57:38 | |
Does friendship feel harder than it should? In this episode, I sit down with my sister and co-host Joy for an honest, tear-filled conversation about what it's really taken for us to build meaningful friendships — as kids, as teens, and now as adult women navigating marriage, motherhood, and moving to a new city.
Joy and I open up about growing up in the public eye and how that shaped (and sometimes stunted) our ability to trust and connect with others. We talk through the insecurity, comparison, and social anxiety that followed us into adulthood, and how marriage — and moving away from a built-in support system of siblings — forced me to learn how to make friends from scratch.
I share real stories about the friends who've shown up for me in hard seasons: care packages during potty training, a month of secret prayer journaling from my sister-in-law, last-minute pool days, and coffee dropped off at my door with no expectations attached. Joy and I get vulnerable about the fear of losing friends during hard family seasons, the guilt I've felt pulling back, and why "perfect" friendships don't exist — but genuine ones are worth fighting for.
In this episode:
Why friendship didn't come naturally to me or Joy growing up
How growing up in the public eye affected our ability to trust people
Battling insecurity, body image, and comparison as teens
How marriage and moving away exposed the gaps in my friendships
The role social media plays in how our kids will experience friendship and comparison
Small, thoughtful gestures that have made the biggest difference for me in hard seasons
How I'm challenging myself to reach out and encourage a friend this week
If you've ever struggled to make or keep close friends, felt too busy or too "in survival mode" to nurture relationships, or wondered how to build real community as an adult — this episode is for you.

| So, About Being Sisters | 29 Jul 2026 | 00:48:32 | |
My sister Joy flew in for a visit and we couldn't wait to jump on the mic together! In this episode, I sit down with my favorite co-host (yes, my actual sister) to talk about what it's really like being sisters — the closeness we didn't always have growing up, how we stay connected even though we live so far apart, and why FaceTime has completely changed the way our families bond across the miles.
We get into it all: our kids growing up as playmates even though they're states apart, what it means to build relationships with aunts, uncles, and grandparents who don't live nearby, and how technology has changed long-distance family life for the better. I also open up about leaning on my faith through hard seasons and how studying the attributes of God has shifted my whole perspective lately.
If you've ever wondered how sisters stay close despite distance, different seasons of life, or busy schedules — this conversation is for you.

| What Made Birthday’s So Special Growing Up | 22 Jul 2026 | 00:39:34 | |
We just celebrated one of our kids' birthdays, and it got us talking about birthdays, gifts, and the one thing we still don't agree on... cake. Yeah, we're airing out our "argument" (we don't like the word fight) over birthday cake traditions, and it's a good one.In this episode, we cover:
✨ The birthday cake debate that became our biggest "we did not see eye to eye" moment
🎂 The nostalgic treats we grew up with — homemade ice cream cakes, Cool Whip layers, and those paper-wrapped ice cream blocks (if you remember these, you're our people)
🎁 The most memorable gifts we got growing up, and the ones we love giving our kids now
💛 Why we sometimes get so caught up trying to make something "special enough" that we end up doing nothing at all
👶 A moment that hit us hard — learning to see the world through our daughter's eyes instead of our own
😄 Plus we're catching up on Comic-Con, sore throats, sunburns, and our usual banter
If you've followed our marriage and parenting journey, you know we like to keep it real, funny, and a little sentimental. This one's all three.

| Why Moms Feel Like They’re Never Doing Enough | 01 Jul 2026 | 00:40:18 | |
Do you ever feel like you're never doing enough as a parent? In this episode, we're getting honest about the anxiety and mom guilt that come with raising our three kids; from the comparison trap of social media "perfect parent" content, to the exhaustion of newborn sleep schedules, to the surprise stress of dental appointments and scheduling overload.
We talk about:
✨ Why social media makes our parenting anxiety worse (and how we try to unplug)
✨ The mental load we carry as parents: appointments, food choices, schooling decisions
✨ How sleep deprivation with our one-year-old and five-year-old is really going for us
✨ The communication tension we've had around late-night scheduling talks
✨ Why we try to model humility and ask our kids for forgiveness, instead of chasing "perfect" parenting
✨ Trusting God in the middle of our own parenting overwhelmIf you've ever laid awake at 10pm running through your kids' schedules in your head, or felt like you failed because of an Instagram post... we get it, and we're in this with you.

| 100 Episodes and We Did NOT Expect This | 17 Jun 2026 | 00:49:16 | |
🎉 100 EPISODES?! We're celebrating our 100th episode of the Jinger and Jeremy Podcast with a special look back at the moments, guests, and lessons that got us here! From our very first recording mishaps in our old house's storage room to the guests who completely surprised us, we're reminiscing on everything that's made this show what it is.
In this episode, we play a few fun superlative games... most competitive guest, who we'd trust to babysit our kids, who we'd want with us during a zombie apocalypse and reflect on the conversations that turned into something more like therapy than a podcast.
We talk about the guest who shocked us with how deeply their story resonated with listeners, revisit our episode with Dean McMahon, and look back on our chat with Olympic sprinter Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Plus, a few behind-the-scenes confessions about our home decor (or lack thereof) and how this podcast almost didn't survive its first few recordings.
Thank you for 100 episodes of laughs, hard conversations, and life with us. Here's to the next 100!

| The Power of Being Bored | Shawn Johnson & Andrew East | 03 Jun 2026 | 01:00:55 | |
In this episode, Shawn and Andrew open up about life behind the highlight reel: the thousands of hours of grueling practice before Beijing, Andrew getting cut from NFL roster after roster and choosing to keep going anyway, and what it actually looks like to build a life of meaning when the world is constantly throwing new options, distractions, and noise at you.
They get into the real stuff... parenting three kids with completely opposite personalities, navigating the chaos of mid-30s marriage, and the moment their Type-A daughter discovered rock climbing and transformed overnight. They talk about the nature vs. nurture debate playing out in real time as their four-year-old son races motocross and their two-year-old refuses to be tamed.
Shawn pulls back the curtain on her Olympic mental training, including the little-known technique her coach used where she'd sit on each apparatus the day before competition and visualize five perfect routines in a row, and how reciting Newton's Law mid-backflip on a four-inch beam kept her brain too busy to be afraid.
At the heart of it all is the message of their book: in an age of infinite scroll, swipe culture, and decision fatigue, commitment isn't a cage... it's the path to freedom. They argue that you don't wait for the best option to present itself. You choose a good one and make it the best.

| Inside the Secret World of the Hutterites | 20 May 2026 | 01:02:45 | |
What happens when you grow up in a closed, communal community, speaking your own language, wearing homemade clothes, owning nothing, and needing permission just to leave for a dentist appointment?
This week, Jinger and Jeremy sit down with their friend Michael Wurtz, who was raised inside a Hutterite colony in South Dakota and made a daring midnight escape at just 18 years old.
Michael opens up about life inside one of America's most secretive communities, from colony politics and strict dress codes to shared bank accounts, no back pockets, and a world almost entirely cut off from the outside. He traces the Hutterites' fascinating roots in the Anabaptist Reformation, their migration through Ukraine and Ellis Island, and how a community built on Scripture slowly drifted from the gospel into control and conformity.
But this isn't just a story of escape, it's a story of answered prayer, God's providence, and life on the other side of freedom.
Michael shares the prayer he prayed three days before his brother-in-law called, the flashlight signal in the field at 11pm, and what it looked like to walk away from everything he'd ever known with just $20 in his front pocket.
Today, Michael is a seminary graduate serving at his local church, a husband, and a father of two little girls and he calls himself the richest man alive.

| When God Shows Up in Grief with Granger & Amber Smith | 06 May 2026 | 00:49:53 | |
What happens when tragedy strips everything away and leaves something far greater behind? In this powerful episode, Jinger and Jeremy sit down with country music star-turned-pastor Granger Smith and his wife, author Amber Smith, for one of the most moving conversations about grief, marriage, and genuine faith you'll hear this year.
Granger opens up about walking away from a wildly successful music career, including his viral alter ego Earl Dibbles Jr. and how the devastating loss of their 3-year-old son, River, in 2019 became the catalyst for real, saving faith. Amber shares what it was like to rebuild their marriage in the wake of unimaginable grief, the pact they made to stay together, and her journey to writing her deeply hopeful book The Girl on the Bathroom Floor.
Together, they discuss the River Kelly Fund, water safety, finding purpose through pain, and what they'd say to anyone sitting on a bathroom floor with no hope left.
In this episode:
- Granger's decade-long grind in Nashville & the Earl Dibbles Jr. viral moment
- How Amber went from acting in his music video to becoming his wife
- The tragic loss of their son River and how it transformed their faith
- How they kept their marriage intact through catastrophic grief
- Amber's book The Girl on the Bathroom Floor and why it has a hopeful ending
- The River Kelly Fund and giving back globally in River's honor
- Granger's upcoming book on cultural Christianity
- What true saving faith looks like vs. cultural Christianity

| The Dangerous Theology Behind These Scandals | 22 Apr 2026 | 00:48:41 | |
In this episode, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo address the heartbreaking headlines surrounding Jinger’s brother and the deeper question many are asking: Why does this keep happening?
This is a difficult but necessary conversation.
We unpack the influence of Bill Gothard and the teachings of the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP), exploring how harmful theology, isolation, and fear-based purity culture can create environments where secrecy and abuse take root.
While every individual is responsible for their own actions, we take a closer look at the belief systems that shape behavior and why ideas about God, sin, sexuality, and authority truly matter.
In this episode, we discuss:
- The real impact of IBLP and Bill Gothard’s teachings
- How purity culture and silence around sex can lead to shame and secrecy
- Why isolation doesn’t fix sin and can actually make things worse
- The difference between external rules vs. true heart transformation
- What the Bible actually says about sin, justice, and healing
- How to find hope, healing, and truth in Jesus Christ
This conversation is rooted in truth, accountability, and ultimately hope.If you’ve been hurt by toxic religion, spiritual abuse, or confusing teachings, this episode is for you.

| Reddit Hate, Online Bullies, & Why We Wrote This Book | 18 Feb 2026 | 00:47:19 | |
In this episode, we’re diving deep into childhood bullying, cyberbullying, and online criticism... and how it affects not just kids, but adults too. From playground teasing to Reddit threads and tabloid headlines, we react to real comments about our marriage, parenting decisions, and public life.
As a couple in the public eye, we’ve faced online hate, marriage rumors, body shaming, and harsh assumptions, and we’re sharing how we’ve learned not to rise or fall with public opinion. We talk about setting boundaries with social media, overcoming people-pleasing tendencies, and raising confident kids in a digital world filled with cyberbullying.
Most importantly, we explain why these experiences inspired us to write our new Christian children’s book about identity, belonging, and confidence in Christ. In a culture driven by validation, social media pressure, and comparison, we want to help kids understand their worth, build resilience, and remember they are made in the image of God. ❤️
If you’re looking for conversations about:

| Purity Culture & Reality TV Ruined Dating Expectations! | 28 Jan 2026 | 00:49:14 | |
In this episode of the Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo dive deep into dating expectations, purity culture, and the pressure many Christians feel to “get it right” in relationships.
Jeremy shares his honest reaction to watching 19 Kids and Counting before he ever knew Jinger and how reality TV and Christian culture can unintentionally create unrealistic expectations for dating, courtship, and marriage. Jinger opens up about growing up with fear-based rules around relationships, guarding her heart, and believing that strict systems could guarantee safety and success.
Together, they unpack:
Unrealistic dating expectations for Christian men and women
How purity culture can create fear instead of freedom
Why checklists, rules, and “perfect formulas” don’t actually protect marriages
What real safety and confidence in a relationship looks like
How to discern character beyond appearances, answers, or religious systems
The importance of dating in community and seeing faith lived out under pressure
This episode is especially for singles navigating Christian dating, couples questioning old beliefs, and anyone healing from rigid relationship teachings. If you’ve ever wondered “How can you truly know someone?” or felt overwhelmed by expectations placed on dating and marriage, this conversation offers clarity, honesty, and hope.

| When Jeremy RUINED Christmas... Here's What Happened! | 17 Dec 2025 | 00:50:07 | |
One year. One movie choice. And Christmas was never the same. 😬
In this holiday episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jeremy confesses to the moment he almost completely derailed Christmas — and from there, things only get more controversial.
We’re answering the spiciest Christmas questions people are afraid to ask, including:
🎁 Should adults even exchange gifts — or is Christmas just for kids?
🛍️ Has consumerism ruined Christmas?
🎄 Real tree vs. fake tree (this might start a fight)
🥛 Is eggnog actually good… or are we all lying?
🎅 Santa, traditions, and what we tell our kids
🎬 The best Christmas movie ever (no, we don’t all agree)
We also talk about:
- Family traditions that actually matter
- Why memories beat “stuff”
- Sentimental gifts vs. last-minute Amazon panic
- How Christmas looks different in seasons of marriage, parenting, and adulthood.
This episode is funny, honest, nostalgic, and a little unhinged — perfect to listen to while wrapping presents, driving to see family, or taking a moment of peace in the bathroom.

| Are Disney and Taylor Swift Demonic? Jinger Reacts | 10 Dec 2025 | 00:57:08 | |
Is Disney demonic? Can Christians watch Disney or listen to Taylor Swift? This week, Jinger & Jeremy dive deep into one of the internet’s most heated debates in the Christian community.
Jinger opens up about her childhood—growing up with strict limits around movies and TV—and the surreal experience of visiting Disneyland even though she didn’t know the characters. The two discuss how they now navigate entertainment with their own kids, including screen time, Disney movies, alternatives like Bluey, and which shows cross the line.
They also address the Taylor Swift controversy, including the moment Jinger was rejected from a speaking event simply for attending a Taylor Swift movie night with friends.
Jeremy walks through the biblical principles of discernment, wisdom, influence, and how Christians can appreciate creativity, art, music, and storytelling without compromising their faith.
This episode covers:– Disney, magic, and Christian values– Alternatives for families raising young kids– Discernment vs. legalism– How celebrities shape culture– Why Christians should avoid extremes– What the Bible says about being “in the world, but not of it”– Idolatry, influence, and renewing the mindIf you’re wrestling with how to navigate movies, shows, social media, or music as a Christian, this conversation will give you clarity, encouragement, and practical wisdom.

| Her Dad Gave Me A 200 Question Exam Before I Could Take Her Out On A Date | 03 Dec 2025 | 00:49:07 | |
Ten years ago, Jeremy asked Jinger’s dad if he could take her on a date… and he got a 60-page, 235-question courtship questionnaire — the one fans have wondered about for years.
For the first time ever, Jinger and Jeremy open the actual document on camera and tell the full story behind it: the early El Salvador conversations, how Jeremy filled it out in an airport over Christmas, why his answers exploded the page count to 107 pages, and the surprisingly intense questions that shaped their entire relationship.
They read real questions straight from the questionnaire — from theology to family history to finances to purity — and unpack how this vetting process connected to IBLP culture, the pressure of public relationships, and why some parts helped… and why some parts didn’t.
You’ll also hear never-before-shared moments:
• Jinger overhears Jeremy’s first talk with her dad through a window in El Salvador
• How the questionnaire pushed their relationship forward at lightning speed
• The answers Jeremy gave (including the very first question that turned into 7 pages)
• The behind-the-scenes emotions, fears, and relief Jinger felt reading his answers
If you’ve ever wondered whether the famous Duggar courtship questionnaire was real, what was actually inside it, or how it impacted Jinger and Jeremy’s story, this episode finally gives the honest truth.
Comment below if you want Part 2, where they reveal the more questions they didn’t get to this time.

We dust off a 2009 DVD and react to the “Big Family Meets Big Apple” era—when the Duggars took New York and announced baby #18 on live TV. Jinger shares behind-the-scenes memories (packing 100 shirts in Walmart bags, matching outfits, first impressions of NYC, and who really helped pick “Jordyn-Grace Makiya”).
Plus our new segment, “Talk About It”: Jeremy’s broken hand saga (X-rays, the cast, and the almost-not-a-hand-specialist…), and Jinger’s ongoing search for a dairy/soy-free solution for Finn’s eczema and formula concerns.
Stick around for nostalgia, laughs, and a peek at upcoming guests—and tell us which old episodes you want us to react to next (Duggar dating rules? Bates vs. Duggars?).

We kick off a new segment—“Talk About It”—with Jeremy’s rain-soaked backstage wipeout and a suspiciously balloon-sized hand… then dive into a tender conversation about helping kids handle embarrassment, mockery, and people-pleasing. We share Felicity’s story, talk about why living for approval is a trap, and how to anchor identity in Christ.
BIG NEWS: we’re announcing our new children’s book, You Always Belong: Knowing God’s Love and Finding Your Place (ages 4–10). It walks through real-life moments—being laughed at in class, getting left out on the playground, missing the shot in sports—and helps kids remember: God’s not laughing at you. He loves you, and you belong.
Beautifully illustrated by Sarah Romero, with a read-along audiobook recorded by both of us. Available for preorder now. Releases January 26.
If you’re a parent, grandparent, or work with kids, we pray this becomes a simple, hope-filled tool for big feelings and hard days.

| Too Young to Have Kids? American Idol Love, 8× Platinum… and Babies?! | Gabby Barrett & Cade Foehner | 24 Sep 2025 | 00:52:17 | |
Why would Gabby Barrett get married and start a family at the height of her career?
Country star Gabby Barrett (8x platinum “I Hope”) and husband Cade Foehner sit down with us to talk about the questions young couples in the spotlight get told to ask: Were we told not to have kids? Would kids ruin our careers? And how did their American Idol backstage friendship turn into a Christ-centered marriage and family of five?
We hit the real stuff—labels, touring with three littles, homeschooling on a bus, reframing success around faithfulness (not charts), and how the gospel changed Gabby’s life in 2018. Plus: the behind the scenes of their Idol-era love story, getting engaged, and Cade’s upcoming country record 👀
