And if so, how? Let’s explore science—and then I’ll share some powerful affirmations you can start using today. So, what exactly are positive affirmations? In a nutshell, they’re short, powerful statements that you repeat to yourself to challenge and change unhelpful thoughts. Think of them as little verbal vitamins for your brain—nourishing, strengthening, and protective.

Positive affirmations are more than just feel-good phrases. Backed by real science, they can help you reshape your internal dialogue, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward a better you. Trust: A Key to Joy

Today, we’re talking about something both ancient and revolutionary: trust—and how an unshakable belief in positive outcomes can lead to a more joyful, fulfilling life. “Let’s start with a big question: What is trust, really? At its core, trust is the belief that things will turn out well, or that others have good intentions. It’s the glue of every relationship, the bedrock of successful communities, and—here’s the kicker—it’s also a major predictor of happiness. A 2016 study from the Journal of Happiness Studies found that people who have higher levels of interpersonal trust report significantly greater life satisfaction. Not marginally more. Significantly. And it’s not just about trusting other people. It’s about trusting life itself. Psychologists call this positive expectancy—a mental habit of expecting things to work out, even when we can’t see how just yet. Trust that you can thrive at any age. Right now I am holding space for women 50 and older who trust that it’s never too late to claim their life purpose, break free from fear and old patterns to fully embrace this new season of life. Understanding Food Addiction is today's topic, an interesting concept brought forth a few weeks ago in my interview with specialist Jane Pilger entitled Seeking Peace with Food Episode 31. Food addiction is a complex behavioral condition characterized by an obsessive and compulsive relationship with food, often leading to negative consequences for one's physical and psychological well-being. Unlike regular overeating or enjoying food, food addiction often involves a pattern of binge eating, intense cravings, and a lack of control over food intake, despite the adverse outcomes. Researchers have begun to explore the neurological, psychological, and environmental factors that contribute to food addiction, and several potential cures or treatments are being investigated. This session delves into the concept of food addiction, presents research and case studies that shed light on its causes, and discusses possible treatments.
