Why Your Womb Health Matters with Hope Milagro Aguilera27 Jul 202501:18:00
In this episode of Café con Pam, Pam catches up with the incredible Hope Milagro Aguilera, a yoga teacher, herbalist, and owner of Luna Xochitl Apothecary. Hope opens up about her mixed Irish and Mexicana roots, her intense childhood—including moving from LA to rural New England—and how breaking her back as a teen led her to discover yoga and a passion for plant medicine.

The conversation covers everything from the struggles of dealing with the Western medical system as a woman, to what PMDD is and how plant-based remedies like herbal teas and CBD can help support womb wellness and overall health.

Whether you’re curious about holistic approaches, want to feel more connected to your body, or just love learning about alternative healing, this episode is full of wisdom and real talk.

How Culture Shapes Nutrition with Dalina Soto18 May 202501:05:11
In this episode of Cafe con Pam, Pam chats with Dalina Soto (aka The Latina Nutritionist) about her journey from growing up as the eldest daughter in a Dominican family in Philly to becoming a dietitian who’s changing the way we think about nutrition. Dalina opens up about what it was like feeling out of place in traditional nutrition spaces, how she found her voice to challenge outdated (and mostly whitewashed) nutrition advice, and why embracing her cultura in the world of wellness is so important. She also shares behind-the-scenes stories from writing her book, talks intuitive eating through a cultural lens, and even spills her go-to coffee ritual. Whether you’re curious about food, health, or breaking the mold as a Latina in business, this episode brings real talk, laughter, and tons of inspiration.

How Accepting Your Past Self Can Propel Your Growth11 May 202500:20:28
In this week's episode, Pam gets real about accepting every part of ourselves—even the awkward, anxious, or “not enough” versions we might want to hide.

Using Creativity To Fill Your Cup with Andrea Campos19 Mar 202301:07:22
Listeners, we are back this week with Andrea Campos.

Andrea Campos is a Mexican-American illustrator and visual artist based in Los Angeles California. Raised in Chicago, Andrea made her way to the West Coast in 2015 in search of warmer weather and her version of the American dream. In January 2020, after nearly a decade in marketing, Andrea decided to shift her career focus and become a photographer. Her timing could have been better, because just weeks later, the pandemic hit and every production she had committed to being a part of shut down.

Like so many others at that time, Andrea became unemployed overnight and felt anxious and overwhelmed by the state of the world. So, she turned to art as a way to make sense of it all. Andrea drew and drew, and eventually started sharing her art via ‘dreasdoodles’ on Instagram.
Within months, Andrea’s work started to go viral, catching the attention of authors, agents, and even a few celebrities. Including Jimmy Fallon, and Jennifer Lopez, who invited Andrea to illustrate their debut bilingual children’s book ‘Con Pollo’ (Feiwel & Friends).

Today, Andrea is a New York Times bestselling Illustrator, visual artist and creative producer, with over 20K followers who is pursuing her dream to connect with others and spread positivity through her playful, colorful creations.

Choosing The Other Side of Fear with Linda Garcia12 Mar 202301:03:22
Listeners, we're back this week with Linda García.

Linda Garcia CEO, The Chosen Hundred LLC + Founder, In Luz We Trust.

A Cali native and proud Latina, Linda Garcia spent 17 years working in the TV and film industry helping well-recognized TV networks, movie studios and streaming services build programming for the U.S. Hispanic market. Despite enjoying the work, Linda knew there was more to life than working to make someone else rich. Eventually, she took the knowledge she’d gained and used it to launch the Let There Be Luz podcast: a weekly podcast aimed to channel one’s spiritual journey, which Linda concluded at its 101st episode. In 2019, after relocating to Dallas, Linda’s spiritual journey led her to what she considers her life’s purpose: to help the Latinx community heal the generational money wounds that prevent them from achieving wealth. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Linda launched her first stock market course for beginners and created a rapidly growing community of Latinx investors on Patreon and Instagram known as In Luz We Trust.

Today Linda is a published children’s book author, a self-made business owner, and a guiding Luz for thousands of BIPOC who are looking to break free from limiting and toxic money mentalities. Linda’s book, ‘Wealth Warrior’, is set to be released in April 2023. In Luz We Trust is an experience-led online community with courses that address limiting beliefs prevalent in communities of color, with a step-by-step component that simplifies the stock market, helping to navigate fears that are tied to our upbringing. Through this conversation, we hope to demystify money and investing, help identify common money wounds we subconsciously hold, gain clarity, and move towards taking action in investing.

During this episode we talked about:
  • 04:41 - Catching up since her last visit

Listeners, we are back this week with Saskia Sorrosa.

Saskia Sorrosa is a proud immigrant, and founder & CEO of Fresh Belies, the first-ever savory kid brand to launch using real ingredients serving “veggies as veggies and fruits as fruits” seasoned with herbs and spices commonly found in Latin American kitchens.

Born in Ecuador, Sorrosa moved to the States at seventeen to attend George Washington University. After starting a family, she became hyper aware of the high sugar and high sodium snack choices that permeated grocery shelves. Since 2016 Saskia has grown Fresh Bellies into a national disruptor with Fresh Bellies being ranked among the top 5 natural toddler snacks in the country. Currently the snacks are sold in 5,000 stores throughout the U.S., including retail giants like Target, Sprouts, Walmart and Whole Foods. Fresh Bellies has won Expo East NEXTY Award for Best New Natural Kid’s Product, and Saskia graduated from the Stanford Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) cohort! During her 16-year career in consumer marketing she climbed the ladder of corporate America to become the VP of Marketing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a proud representation of American immigrants and women and, received several industry accolades for her innovation and leadership, including AdAge’s 40 Under 40 and Hispanic Lifestyle’s “Latina of Influence.”

Listeners, we're back this week with Fernanda Canchola & Maria Hampton.

In 1986, five insightful local Latinas recognized the significant need for a unifying force – a strong Latina voice advocating for a greater Latina presence and a deeper Latina involvement in the educational, economic, political and social arenas.

These pioneering and resourceful women created that unifying force and voice by establishing the San Diego Chapter of MANA, a national Latina organization whose mission is to empower Latinas through education, leadership development, advocacy and community service.MANA short for “Hermana”, the Spanish word for sister, is a dynamic sisterhood of Latinas bound together by common history, culture, language and goals.

MANA de San Diego is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization, incorporated in the State of California in 1998. MANA is funded by membership dues, donations and the generous support of sponsors and partners. MANA de San Diego is the largest and most active MANA chapter, with more than 4,000 supporters.

Fernanda originates from the Imperial Valley, an agricultural and desert area bordering Arizona and Mexico. She graduated from San Diego State University in Business Administration and is pursuing a Master's of arts in interdisciplinary studies from Oregon State University's e-campus. She has experience in event planning, non-profit fundraising, affinity groups, database management, and volunteer management. She is currently working as Member and Donor Relations Manager at MANA de San Diego.

Maria Hampton is the Membership Committee Chair with MANA de San Diego. She has been with the Membership Committee since 2018 and brings forth new ideas on member engagement. Maria is currently a Branch Manager at Cal Coast Credit Union and has 14 years of experience in the financial sector.
