This week, we dive deep into the often misunderstood concept of manifestation with energy mastery guide, LaToya Zavala.

LaToya breaks down the four core aspects of manifestation, emphasizing the power of belief over mere actions. She also shares her powerful personal journey from religious indoctrination to embracing spiritual practices that defy conventional understanding.

04 Jun 2024
00:20:14
Are you stalling your progress waiting for the perfect moment?
In this raw and real episode, I reflect on perspective-shifting conversations with badass women I would never have met had I continued waiting for the right moment.
As the end of the school year sneaks up on us and we ease into a more laid-back vibe, I detail my own journey of stepping out of my comfort zone to join new networking groups. These moves led to meaningful collaborations and incredible connections.
I detail the concept of "failing slowly" — the trap of waiting for the perfect moment and how it can cripple your true potential. I'll share a moment recently in Las Vegas when the realization of how I've failed slowly for so long hit me in the gut and had me completely breaking down in a room of 100+ women.
As we pause to reflect and recharge over the next few months, let's commit to embracing the opportunities ahead. And stay tuned for more powerful guest episodes where I'll bring you stories from the remarkable women leaders I've connected with along the way.

EP62: Promise: Cultivating Unshakeable Commitment in Entrepreneurship
16 Apr 2024
00:13:59
Commitment is nothing more than a promise you make... in this case, to yourself.
This episode is all about the transformative power of self-promise—it's the self-made commitment that keeps your business vision alive and thriving.
Over the last 3 episodes, we talked about the combined strength of purpose, priorities and your 5 capacities (aka power) in relation to consistent success.
But none of them work if you don't commit.
For an entrepreneur, promises are more than just words; they're the lifeblood of our commitment to success. It's the promise to stick with it, to follow through, and to get support when you need it. To promise yourself you don't HAVE to go it alone.
It's a short and sweet one this week, but it's the one that makes it all mean something.
If a transition from non-stop hustle to a life-serving business is what you're after, remember, my door is always open for those who want to weave these 4 Ps into the tapestry of their own business ethos.

00:53:12
You've heard it before: Trust your gut.
But if it were that simple, we'd never question another decision we made, ever again.
How do you tell the difference between your intuition and fear? Where is the line between logic and intuitive knowing? What role do they play in decision-making? How do you learn to listen to your gut when you've spent your whole life ignoring it for the voice in your head?
Meaghan Pierce, author and entrepreneur, joins us to talk about all things intuition and how she learned to trust her own when it came to making pretty big leaps in her life. Together, we dissect the role of intuition in life's "fork in the road" moments.
We touch on the shadow side of relentless self-improvement, where the pursuit of goals can morph into a cycle of never feeling quite "good enough", and we critically examine the line between life coaching and therapy, offering insights that challenge the status quo and encourage a deeper, more nuanced approach to personal growth.
And when it comes to decision-making, we uncover the crucial role of a supportive community and the power of discernment in choosing whom to confide in. Drawing from our collective experiences, we highlight the significance of having cheerleaders who bolster our intuition and support our dreams, even when faced with skepticism.
If you've ever wanted to learn more about what it actually looks like to trust your gut, you won't want to miss this honest reflection on trusting the compass of your inner voice and the courage to follow it with unwavering conviction.
Guest Bio: Meaghan Pierce is the author of 8 mafia romance novels and 2 fantasy novels under the pen name Piper Easton. When she isn’t putting the stories in her head on paper you can find her snuggling her cats while watching true crime or listening to show tunes.

EP56: Unfiltered Reflection: Is it Time to Shift Focus?
27 Feb 2024
00:16:57
Am I the asshole?
This week I share the outcome of so many conversations about how exhausted people are by the online business space -- a pondering that maybe it's time to shift our focus.
The unethical tactics and shitty behaviours many business owners buy into isn't going to change any time soon (because these behaviours are entrenched in the very space they thrive in).
So maybe it's time to address the actual problem: YOU.
Join me for a quick insight into what I think we get to start focusing on in 2024... and it's not bro marketing.

EP55: The Controversy of Commitment: Why "All In" is a Huge Red Flag
20 Feb 2024
00:36:42
How much do you really have to give (or give up) to be considered "all in" when it comes to your job or your business?
This week, I recount a deeply personal journey, pulling back the curtain on the emotional rollercoaster of what seems like an increasingly convoluted job application process. I share the excitement of connecting with what seemed like the perfect team, where my expertise was truly valued, to the sting of having a promising job offer taken away because of the question of commitment.
But this conversation goes beyond the nuts and bolts of job hunting. It's an exploration of the controversial demands for "all-in" dedication. I talk about how this expectation can be both a badge of honor and a source of shame, challenging the established norms of what employers expect. It's time to bring to argue for a healthier balance, one that values personal growth just as much as professional achievement, without leading to burnout.
Through my experiences, I offer insights and critical perspectives that question the business world's definition of commitment. It's all about the struggles of seeking employment while running a business, and the important lessons on setting boundaries in the pursuit of a career that's truly fulfilling.

EP48: Exploring the Evolving Landscape of Online Business in 2023/24 -- with Elaine Jardon, Jennifer Battle, Rachel Aiken and Erika Tebbens
05 Dec 2023
01:10:54
Online business has evolved enormously since 2020.
This week, I'm joined by 4 audacious and incredibly powerful and insightful business owners: Jennifer Battle, Rachel Aiken, Elaine Jardon, and Erika Tebbens.
Tune in as they share their journey and the evolution of online entrepreneurship over the last few years. We unmask the aftermath of the pandemic and its effect on business strategies and buyer habits. We explore currency in the digital marketplace and the key to making sales. We pay homage to our collective growth, the trials and triumphs of doing business differently and the innovations birthed from necessity.
We also talk about the changing definitions of business success. This isn’t just about revenue – it’s about personal growth, mentorships, and crafting a business model that is as structured as it is flexible, exploring the duality of working to live and living to work, and sometimes how the means to an end could be the end itself.
We touch on a variety of topics within the online space: marketing, email and copy, courses and IP, strategy, education and coaching, capacity, and the over-simplification of teaching.
With 2024 on the horizon, we leave no stone unturned, discussing our predictions for the business landscape and how it's changing (or needs to change), the need for a customer-centric approach and the balance between sharing your intimate journey while achieving larger-than-life results. Whether you're an experienced entrepreneur or a newcomer to the business world, this conversation is a necessity.

Diving into my nerdiness to find business strategy lessons? Absolutely!
I received an unexpected perspective shift direct from the hallowed halls of Hogwarts, which tied directly to business strategy -- and it was a lesson I absolutely had to share.
We all know the struggles of business in the online space -- the shiny object syndrome (that I refer to as SOS), the FOMO (fear of missing out), all the distractions...
The dreaded but incredibly tantalizing "side quests".
This week I explore how to maintain a laser focus on your "main quests" to avoid being derailed by the "side quests". I share my thoughts on conducting a thorough audit of experiences and knowledge, the power of engaging conversations with coaches, and the need to fill any knowledge gaps.
I also touch on the essential elements of planning a year of intentional focus on our primary business mission. Strap in and prepare to level up your business game.

I carry on from last week and offer an intimate insight into my practice of year-end reflection. I reveal my 10 thought-provoking questions for self-reflection and discuss how it fuels my intentional planning. This year, I've chosen to fully embrace the holiday spirit by pausing all client work in December, gifting myself some time for rest and rejuvenation.
In preparation for planning in the new year, these questions -- I feel -- should be part of your reflective process as you introspect on the year gone by and think about what has to change for the upcoming one. These questions will guide you to spot areas of resistance and define what you're prepared to welcome or bid farewell to in 2024.
As I share the questions, I give context and elaborate as best I can, so here are the questions in their entirety in case you are listening without a notebook in the moment!
1. What are 3 things I'm proud of having accomplished this year? 2. What have I learned that I can continue to work on next year? 3. What am I willing to fight for / stop fighting against? (or Where have I been throwing up resistance in my life or business?) 4. What am I willing to show up for in 2024 / leave behind in 2023? 5. Who am I going to be? What am I going to do? 6. How do I want to live each day going forward? 7. What is it important for me to do with my time each day / week? 8. Who deserves space in my life? Who doesn't? 9. Whose opinion of it all do I care about? 10. What characteristics of the next version of myself do I want to cultivate next year?

EP41: Reclaiming the Power of Audacity: A New Narrative for Female Entrepreneurs
17 Oct 2023
00:19:50
How often have you, as a woman, been told to sit still, be quiet, or to not make a scene? How has that shaped your journey into entrepreneurship, and does it hold you back from being audacious and authentic?
This week I talk very plainly about the conditioning that women undergo from childhood that follows us into adulthood, influencing our capacity to be authentic, even when we're invited to as entrepreneurs -- and to which the antidote is cultivating The Audacity.
Shift your perspective on what it means to be audacious, why it's so important to business longevity, and how we can reclaim audacity to be a leverage point for us, not a limitation.

EP40: Rethinking Passive Income: It's Not as Easy as You Think
10 Oct 2023
00:18:01
Easy money is the dream, right? And in the online space that means passive income, baby!
Prepare for a rude awakening as we call BS on the myth of passive income. Spoiler alert: it's not passive at all, or all that lucrative for the majority.
It’s a seductive idea, making money while you sleep, but passive income is in a lot of ways touted as a get-rich-quick type of tactic.
This week, we unpack the challenges and realities associated with passive income including some stats (I did the research, y'all) that demonstrate how lucrative it actually is.

EP39: Corporate Burnout to Business Maverick: Rewriting the Rules for Women Entrepreneurs
03 Oct 2023
00:21:02
Ever thought about how the relentless pursuit of profits often devalues people in the business world? I've been there, and I'm here to share my journey. From being a shining star in the corporate arena to feeling tossed aside as a new mother, I've seen the dark underbelly of business ethics gone wrong.
This week, I recount one of my many experiences, and how it (in part) inspired me to break free and create my own business... but what ended up happening was something else.
As an entrepreneur, I've witnessed the struggle many women face in the online business sphere. Still jacked up by corporate programming, we equate value with productivity and hours spent, and success through the lens of financial gain. But what if we redefined these outdated beliefs? Let's unpack the concept of Corporate Rehab as a tool to help women build successful businesses that honour their autonomy and individuality -- and aren't just clones of their corporate experience, only this time, with them at the helm.
I want to challenge the traditional business paradigm because so many of us are feeling trapped and tired of the hustle. Let's explore ways to create a business environment that celebrates authenticity and freedom, and not just superficial standards, while still honouring the importance of building sustainable business models. I'm on a mission to disrupt the norms and create a business landscape that changes the way it's been done. Join me and let's redefine what business success looks like, together.

EP38: Connection Made Easy: The Shift from Transactions to Trust
26 Sep 2023
00:25:05
Have you ever found yourself in a busy networking event, feeling drained and disconnected as you attempt to navigate the sea of pitches and self-promotion?
That's where I found myself recently, moderating a panel for a local Women's Enterprise Centre event. As an introvert, I was anticipating the usual energy suck. But instead, I found myself energized, and it set off a light bulb moment. Networking (aka connection) events aren't the problem: WE are.
We've all been there - the dreaded 'pitchslap', where, without even a ‘how do you do’, someone is smacking you in the virtual face with their latest offer. (It's no wonder so many people are in their feelings about sales and lead generation.)
Connection in business has traditionally been more about transactions than genuine human connection, and it's taking a toll. Instead of feeling compelled to sell or to be sold to, I wanna share a different approach: create authentic connections, cultivate trust, and personalize your interactions. Sales are important, of course, but they shouldn't overshadow making real connections because you took time to see the human behind the dollar signs.
In the cut-throat world of business, maintaining honesty and transparency may seem like a tall order. But instead of the usual BS, it's time we focus on building enduring relationships. After all, it's through these genuine connections that we lay the foundations of lasting success.

EP37: Instant Gratification vs the Power of Active Patience
19 Sep 2023
00:12:45
Have you ever wondered how our digital age's obsession with instant gratification is impacting our businesses, our goals, and our patience?
This week I take a quick look at the change technology has wrought and how it's influencing our expectations in life and in biz. I share my philosophy on the concept of "active patience," a practice that combines consistent efforts towards our goals while understanding that real success takes time.
I then share my absolute favourite metaphor -- the story of the Chinese Bamboo Tree. Through it we learn that patience, when combined with consistent efforts, can reap enormous rewards. Tune in to this episode for a nuanced take on the importance of patience in our businesses and our lives. You will leave with a renewed understanding of the role patience plays in our success and how to incorporate 'active patience' into your work ethic.

EP36: Clients Behaving Badly: Red Flag Behaviours of Business Bosses
12 Sep 2023
00:24:00
Have you ever had a business contract abruptly terminated by a client without any warning? I've been there, and it's a gut-wrenching experience that leaves you pissed off, inconvenienced, and questioning yourself.
So, I decided to reach out to others in the business world to hear their tales of "Clients Behaving Badly." The response was astounding, with stories that opened up a Pandora's box of similar instances, which led to much-needed conversations about accountability and the human element in business transactions.
This episode looks at some of the murky, uncomfortable, but very real client behaviours that leave a shitty taste in your mouth, and are lessons learned about red flags to watch for in future client relationships.

EP30: Rethink, Redefine, Rest: Lessons from the Air Travel Shit Show
01 Aug 2023
00:19:16
We've all been privy to the lessons of air travel shit shows.
And truth be told, there's a lot we can learn from the madness of air travel.
Picture me stuck on hold for 36 hours, trying to retrieve money from a canceled flight. Or dealing with a cancelled flight and losing a day of our vacation. Or dealing with a cancellation on the way back and a rerouting.
It was an eye-opening experience on how things beyond our control can wreak havoc in our plans. Sounds a lot like entrepreneurship, doesn't it? As we navigate this stormy landscape, let's keep in mind that we can't control everything, but our responses are totally up to us.
The pandemic has changed the rules of the business game, and it's not unusual to feel the heat and pressure building. But let's make one thing clear - resorting to manipulative tactics or pushing people into purchases they can't afford is not the answer. Instead, let's focus on what we can control - our responses, how we show up, how we price our offers, and how we share our content. I'll be talking about the importance of rest and slowing down to identify what we can let go of in our lives and businesses. Rethink, redefine and make your business not only rewarding but impactful.
