Grab a drink for this one because Jen and Dyana dive into some deep and thought-provoking discussion on how constant adventure can sometimes lead to disconnection. This episode is inspired by our recent two-time guest, Tyler 'MAC' Fox, who wrote an article on something he calls the interesting-weird divide. We explore what it's like to share with family and friends about going off on the first big adventure, to what happens when family and friends realize that was not a "one and done", but an ongoing lifestyle. Relationships and perspectives change, but is it for the better? Tune in to find out.

Will 'Akuna' Robinson -Triumphing the Triple Crown of Thru-Hiking19 Jul 202301:01:48

Will 'Akuna' Robinson is all about those good vibes and embodies the very definition of redefining oneself. This Army Veteran found long-distance hiking as a way to heal and inspire others to 'go for it all.' Akuna has gained attention as the first black male to complete the Triple Crown of Hiking, having successfully hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (2017), Appalachian Trail (2018), and the Continental Divide Trail (2019). His journey has become a mission not just for personal healing but also to share the therapeutic power of nature with veterans, people of color, and everyone who does not fit the stereotype of an outdoorsy person. Akuna is undoubtedly way cooler than Jen and Dyana.
