Bugeye are Angela Martin, Paula Snow, Kerrie Smith and Grace Healy with guest background comments from Julia Woollams.
Paula and Angela look at the meaning behind Katy’ Perry’s song ‘Firework’ alongside random facts about Bonfire night. They then go down a darker path of true crime with Neko Case’s song ‘Deep Red Bells’ and Nirvana’s ‘Polly’.
WARNING: In this episode we talk about the Green River serial killer and serial rapist Gerald Friend which some listeners may find upsetting.

Ahoy Matey! This week we tell you the story of Pirate Radio Station, Radio Caroline with special guest Charlie Ashcroft from Amazing Radio.
Radio Caroline which launched in the 60s in reaction to the monopoly of the BBC and the major labels. The station took residency on a boat in the sea just outside British territory and went on to be one of the biggest stations in the UK, much to the digust of the labels and the governments. We dig into the real story of the boat that rocked, including murder, theft, storms and spliffs.
