The Jethavanarama Buddhist Monastery will be holding the annual Katina Ceremony and Overnight Pirith Chanting on the 29th and 30th of October.
One of the most important and widely celebrated events in the Buddhist religion, the Katina Ceremony commemorates the end of the 3 month Rains Retreat of the higher-ordained monks resident at the monastery.
The event will commence at 5:15 PM India Standard time on the 29th and will continue till the evening of the following day.
