Recently, Renny Harlin has disappointed fans around the world with The Strangers: Chapter 1. From a man who did Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger, 25 years ago we thought again about going in the water. This year marks 25 years of arguably one of the BEST sharksploitation movies ever made, DEEP BLUE SEA! Does this movie stand up to JAWS? A stacked cast and practical effects are all we needed and that's what we got. Directed by Xavier Gens (Frontier(s)), this movie has mixed reviews with some calling it the best shark movie since Jaws, while others are completely baffled and don't know what to think. And not to mention, a little tongue in cheek with the inclusion of the 2024 Olympics. Seasick Cinema Episode 2 This week, I dug deep into the bucket and pulled out an oldie. This movie has Donna Wilkes from Jaws 2 fame, and a haunted shark tooth necklace. This "movie" is a far departure from the director's Full Moon days. Director David DeCoteau has given us Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama and Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge.
