Barg-e Bi-Bargi is a space for reflecting on the words of Rumi—from the ecstatic poems of the Divan-e Shams to the stories of the Masnavi and the conversations of Fihi Ma Fihi.
My name is Maryam Darvishian. I am not a scholar of literature, yet I live with Rumi’s words. Like a fish in the boundless ocean of his words, I swim through them and, amid life’s highs and lows, surrender myself to the waves of his wisdom and love.
In this podcast, I share what I have learned and experienced through this companionship, in the hope that Rumi’s words may travel beyond the pages of a book and find a living place in our everyday lives.
“Barg-e Bi-Bargi” (Provision of No-Provision) is a phrase inspired by Rumi, pointing to the freedom that arises when we loosen our attachment to what we think we cannot live without.
