A New Strategy for DCIS with M. Nathaniel Mead

Nathaniel Mead earned his Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina’s Gillings School of Global Public Health.  He also has undergraduate degrees in Biology and Science Education. Nathaniel has an extensive background as a holistic nutritionist, medical writer, and integrative cancer coach. His professional experience includes work as a personal nutrition coach and research consultant for five integrative medicine clinics.  Nathaniel has been an editor for the peer-reviewed journal Integrative Cancer Therapies. He also has 15 years of experience as a research associate for the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment in Illinois.

In this episode, Nathaniel speaks about Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) and the continuous overtreatment of the disease.  Additionally, he shares his view on a New Strategy for the Prevention and Monitoring of DCIS.  Also, what the difference between low-risk and high-risk DCIS is.   As well as, the main risk factors involved in the progression from DCIS to IBC.

Overcoming Progressive MS with Dr. Terry Wahls

Dr. Terry Wahls is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa. She conducts clinical trials that test the effect of nutrition and lifestyle interventions to treat MS and other progressive health problems.  In 2018 she was awarded the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Linus Pauling Award for her contributions in research, clinical care, and patient advocacy.

In addition, Dr. Terry Wahls is a patient with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis.  This condition confined her to a tilt-recline wheelchair for four years. Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D., has written or edited fourteen books. As well as that, he has collaborated on four film documentaries on cancer. In the 1970s, Dr. Moss was the assistant director of public affairs at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  Dr. Moss also writes the Moss Reports, which are up-to-date book-length reports on the most common cancers, for laypeople. Additionally, he has written the chapter on complementary and alternative medicine for the Encyclopedia Britannica. Dr. Moss also co-edited the first medical textbook on Complementary Oncology.

Dr. Moss has made 18 separate tours of cancer clinics in Germany, as well as in Austria, Mexico, Turkey, Holland, Israel, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Russia, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Bahamas, Honduras, Great Britain, and most states of the U.S. and provinces of Canada. The Truth About Vitamin E with Dr. Barrie Tan

Dr. Barrie Tan is hailed as the world’s foremost expert on vitamin E, credited with discovering tocotrienol in three major natural sources: Palm, Rice, and Annatto.
