In this episode of Breakthrough with Coach B, we chat with my longtime friend from afar, Michael Waddell, a veteran real estate agent from Edmonton, Alberta. Michael’s story is a perfect example of the Breakthrough Method—the idea that in order to grow, we need to let go.

Michael was already a very successful agent, selling 60 homes a year all by himself with no administrative support. But despite his financial success, he wasn’t truly thriving in other areas of his life. It wasn’t until he finally listened to his second coach (not the first!) that he decided to get help in his business. And that’s when he discovered that delegation can be addictive—especially when it means offloading lower-value, energy-draining tasks so you can reallocate your time to business development and, more importantly, to the areas of life that matter most.

In the first half of this interview, Michael shares his backstory, and in the second half, he dives into the strategies and recommendations he has for anyone looking to get help and scale their real estate business.
