In this episode, Jerry and Tracy talk about how they got their start with the show, creepy places they've been, and even share some amazing stories of phenomena they've experienced. Make sure to check out their show on all the major podcatchers out there. Thanks again to Jerry and Tracy for use of their studio and to Ninja for the snores! Ep 227: Zoroastrianism with Dragons in Genesis Podcast

Season 8 · Episode 227

lundi 8 avril 2019Duration 02:12:35

We finally see who's behind the mask of Zoroastrianism! It has been teased and talked about since the beginnings of the show, but finally Flora is tackling Zoroastrianism with the help of Jason from the Dragons in Genesis Podcast! An incredibly influential ancient religion, Zoroastrianism shows up often in show topics and is one of the oldest still practiced today. However, very little about it is known to western cultures simply because it's not often talked about or explained. The prevalence in topics such as ancient aliens, mythology, demonology, and others led David to want to learn more. So he invited a like-minded friend to explore the topic! Jason from Dragons in Genesis joins to discuss a thorough overview of this fascinating religion, from its beginnings to its tenants, and many of the spirits and figures in between. This episode is a massive examination of an incredible near-east religion, tag-teamed by 2 guys who may not be experts, but surely have passion for history. So light a fire, pet the dog, and settle in for a huge historical episode of Blurry Photos! (Note: please forgive me for Jason's audio changing a bit at the end; we lasted longer than our recording software did!) Music Myst on the Moor, Danse Macabre - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

Ep 226: Irish Vampires and Other Celtic Monsters

Season 8 · Episode 226

vendredi 29 mars 2019Duration 01:01:26

More like Vampireland! Season 8 kicks off with the fine tradition of Irish folklore, as Flora takes you through some Irish vampires and other Celtic monsters! They might not be the first thing that comes to mind for the emerald isle, but Irish vampires and other Celtic monsters have a worthy pedigree in the folklore there. As the new season kicks off, David toasts to your health and celebration for a fun edition of "Slurry Photos." While Fae Folk usually take center stage, the evil Abhartach, Dearg Due, and Leannan Sidhe play supporting roles. They aren't the only dark things to beware, however, and David rolls through several fascinating entities such as Bocanagh, Fear Gorta, the Sluagh, and the Coiste Bodhar. Pour a tall, cold Guinness and sit back for a story-filled ride through Ireland's dark night on this episode of Blurry Photos! Music Myst on the Moor, Danse Macabre - Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)
