It was barely half past two when Trace stepped into my office, casefiles in hand. The first one gave me a good chuckle. Apparently Elon had removed “legacy verification” from Twitter — meaning the only way to get a blue check now was to give him eight smackeroos a month. Everyone from Jason Alexander to SCOTUS Blog was threatening to bounce, someone had impersonated the Big Apple itself, and Elon had footed the bill for LeBron James, Stephen King, and — her?! No way.

I gazed at the smoke detector above me, two rectangular holes where its batteries should be, and flipped to File #2. A writer for The Atlantic named Ed Yong had crossed the line from “journalist” to “activist”, going after everyone questioning the narrative on “long COVID”. Something about the evidence he used smelled fishy as hell. I put it to the side — this was one for Jesse to handle.

The last file was something else entirely. I took a drag of my cigarette, watching the smoke curl lazily towards the ceiling as I kept reading. An old grandma gets raided by the DEA for traffickin’ human growth hormone. No charges. Turns out what she was pushin’…wasn’t exactly intended for human consumption. Then the FDA busts a lady importing “beauty products” from Hong Kong. Confiscate her cars, her mansions. A spreadsheet she kept shows she moved a whopping $10 million worth of product.

“You think they’re connected?”

“A listener tipped us off. Said her cat needed meds, but they’re illegal. The dame says her vet pointed her towards a Facebook group that could hook her up under the table. I think they’re the missing link. Real secretive, though. Won’t talk to anyone who’s not a buyer, so I sent them an invite, pretending to be —"

Suddenly, the phone rang. A booming voice on the other end spoke. “Your invitation to join FIP Warriors® 5.0 has been accepted.”

I stood up and brushed the flakes of weed off my trenchcoat as Trace unholstered his trusty snubnose revolver and adjusted his fedora.

“Start the car, Trace. Looks like we’re going undercover.”

During the spring of 2023, I was celebrating a Blocked & Reported meetup in California and found myself within the queer seaport of El Segundo. Deep in thought regarding the reaction to Times letter on J.K. Rowling and how, for once, the journalists appeared to be triumphing over the activists, my thoughts were interrupted by a strange voice.

“Hello”, one of the locals said. It appeared bizarre, as if he went outside and bathed regularly. “How do you do?” asked another, and I turned to see they had me surrounded. Unnerved by these strange normies, I began to flee for my life, but fell flat on my face. “Estás bien?” one called out in a strange, eldritch tongue as I sprinted to my car, only to realize to my horror that my keys were gone.

I turned to see the normie advancing, my keys in hand. Within a window, I spotted a tome with the word “recetas” and realized the horrifying truth — this town was occupied by Great Reset cultists! No doubt they attempted to ambush me and inject me with their foul mRNA vaccines. I pushed over another normie as I fled on foot, sweat and blood dripping down my face. In an attempt to flee my pursuers, I made three left turns in a row, only to find myself face to face with the same townsfolk — how had they found me so quickly? Now surrounded by a crowd of normies staring at me, I jumped into the sea and began to swim away.

This is a warning to the rest of humanity: pay heed to the good Doctor Peterson’s warnings, or the same fate may befall us all.

This is an open letter protesting the work conditions Jesse Singal and Katie Herzog have subjected employees to. Ever since GLAAD’s open letter to the New York Times regarding their coverage of trans issues and defense of J.K. Rowling, in addition to Jesse’s vulgar display of power at the San Francisco Blocked and Reported party, Jesse has become intoxicated with power and shifted from soyboy beta cuck to alpha male, right-wing shock jock. And now that Katie has moved to Sarasota, Florida, there is nobody else at Blocked And Reported HQ to rein him in. His constant flexing and proclamations of “do you even lift?” and “I’m alpha as f**k, bro” create a hostile, intimidating work environment.

Furthermore, the company Slack stores the invoices for my wages as “Bill For Lexer” and Jesse frequently quips “I haven’t seen a deal this good since 1862!” before paying it, something he never does to the white employees. The leaking of the podcast’s financial statements have only made this worse. It’s not fair that Jesse and Katie are podcast millionaires who get away with paying us barely six figures for the dozens of hours of hard work we put in.

The only way to make this right is to give us a 200% raise and at least 60 weeks of PTO yearly. Unless our demands are met, we will stage a mass walkout on the 30th in protest.
