Von Neumann architecture:

  • MAR (Memory Address Register)
  • MDR (Memory Data Register)

  • Accumulator 

common CPU components and their function:

  • ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit)
  • CU (Control Unit)
  • Cache

the function of the CPU as fetch and execute instructions stored in memory
