PNC Championship Recap | Team Singh Wins | Tiger Woods & Charlie Woods News | 2023 PGA Tour Preview

The Birdies & Bourbon team chat the PNC Championship. Team Singh took home the title this year. We had some notable teams in the runnings such as Team Daly and Team Woods. Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods played well during the tournament. Charlie had a foot injury but still was up for a great weekend of golf. Tiger Woods showed improvement from The Match and it will be interesting where we first see Tiger Woods in 2023. Vijay Singh and son Qass win their first PNC Championship. Team Daly had a great showing this weekend as well. We chat a little PGA Tour 2023 season on the show as we look forward to the start of the season in Hawaii.

QBE Shootout Recap | The Match Highlights Justin Thomas & Jordan Spieth Beat Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy | PNC Championship Preview  

The Birdies & Bourbon team chat The Match victory for Justin Thomas & Jordan Spieth over Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Tiger's game did not look sharp coming in for the match. JT and Jordan were thrilled to take home the victory for The Match. Charles Barkley was great in the booth. We chat through some tips on how to make this more entertaining for future events. Can we can Jim Nantz to join the match. How about Justin Thomas and Justin Timberlake on a team. Of course, Bill Murray would be a crowd favorite. Then we get into the QBE Shootout. Congrats to Sahith Theegala and Tom Hoge on their victory. It was a great event and showcased talent from the PGA and LPGA Tours. Many PGA Tour Pros commented on Nelly Korda's game over the weekend. Friend of the show Scott Stallings had some comments and it was overall just positive energy for golf this weekend. We look forward to the PNC Championship this week. Tiger and Charlie Woods will be teeing it up. Can they take on the field and pull out a victory. It's gonna be fun to watch. The PGA Tour has made some great changes including money for players missing the cut which will help with travel expenses for up and coming talent on the PGA Tour. Then we get into some golf theory with the state of the game and the swing changes of Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth. We discuss Billy Horschel's setup and PGA Tour takes in the recent weeks. Rory McIlroy has become the face of the PGA Tour. Can he keep up his red hot play and continue to be the voice of the players on the tour against LIV Golf? John and Cal discuss Will Zalatoris and what to expect from him given the back injury and several missed events due to the injury. Jon talks the mental game and some training that he incorporates into his teachings. The new offseason will be a good aspect of the tour changes and will allow the players to compete better in the top events. It’s always a fascinating conversation with Jon Tattersall on the state of the game and how he is approaching and updating strategies.

In 2007 Jon co-founded Fusion ATL a sports performance facility designed to capture performance data and develop training protocols for the ardent golfer.  In addition, the the certified staff provide services from physical therapy to performance strength training.

With a philosophy that says, "Why guess when you can measure", Jon is an early adopter of technology.  He is an expert at using tools such as Trackman and Foresight launch monitors, and 3D from AMM, MAT and K-Vest.

In 1998 Jon moved to Atlanta, GA to open a learning center with GOLF Magazine Top 100 instructor and ABC commentator Gary Smith.

In 2007 Jon co-founded Fusion ATL a sports performance facility designed to capture performance data and develop training protocols for the ardent golfer.  In addition, the the certified staff provide services from physical therapy to performance strength training.

With a philosophy that says, "Why guess when you can measure", Jon is an early adopter of technology.  He is an expert at using tools such as Trackman and Foresight launch monitors, and 3D from AMM, MAT and K-Vest.

Congrats to Matt Fitzpatrick on winning the US Open and claiming his first major victory on the PGA Tour. Matt has been outstanding on the tour over the past year and has improved his game tremendously. Will Zalatoris has another runner up tournament at the US Open. Will is knocking at the door of a major and will certainly break through soon. Other notables include Scottie Scheffler with another runner up tournament. Scottie continue his heater and is playing outstanding golf. Jon Rahm had a disappointing Sunday at the US Open and was a favorite going into the final round. Rory McIlory is playing great golf and had an outstanding tournament this week.
