Pull up on your yellow tab and get ready—this is the last episode of our May 2025 Besties Trip Report! is a whirlwind through Walt Disney World! We’re taking you along on one seriously magical (and slightly chaotic) adventure that starts with an epic rope drop at Slinky Dog Dash in Hollywood Studios. Think adrenaline, strategy, and a dash of early-morning madness. 🎢🌞

We aren't forgetting about all you Star Wars fans - we went full Sith as we recount our intense face-off with Darth Vader at a character meet-and-greet that left us both starstruck and slightly shaken. (Spoiler: he does not break character.) 🖤⚔️

Then it’s off to EPCOT for a well-earned evening of delicious eats and dazzling sights. We wind down with dinner at La Hacienda, soaking in waterfront views and margaritas and mocktails before capping the day with a front-row seat to the fireworks over World Showcase Lagoon. 🌮🎆

From thrills to chills (the Darth Vader kind) to tacos and Spaceship Earth, this Disney day had everything.

Let's see how the plan unfolded during Jess's April 2024 post-trip. Post trips generally include a pretty detailed account of the entire trip, including time stamps, wait times (posted vs actual), prices, commentary, and general tips/tidbits that can apply to any trip.

Here's a few updates based on the episode:

Since recording this episode, Fastpass/Genie+ line skipping has been renamed Lightning Lane MultiPass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. The practice of booking and using lightning lanes has changed since this trip.
Rider switch is an option guests can use when one or more in your party do not meet the height requirement and cannot ride a certain ride.
If you want to upgrade your park tickets, you want to do this while you still have remaining dates on your ticket (so in my case, this would have been before I entered the park on our MK day). Typically guest services outside of the park can assist with ticketing questions/upgrades.

Glass etching can be done in Glaskunst, in the Germany pavilion in Epcot! This is a really fun and unique keepsake, souvenir, or gift that you can get to remember your trip. Jess bought champagne flutes etched Mr. and Mrs. for the soon to be engaged couple!

Disney resort buses are typically running an hour before early entry begins.
