| Deepthroating Bananas Pt2 | 15 Apr 2025 | 00:44:18 | |
Deepthroating Bananas Pt2 is here, and it’s somehow even juicier than the first. We delve into the challenges of unconscious eating, the lingering effects of outdated diet rules, and the journey of unlearning unscientific health practices. Charlotte shares her powerful transition from a traditional personal trainer to a coach who supports women with mindset and emotional well-being. Together, we explore the importance of emotional and mental decluttering, self-awareness, and identity work. We discuss the emotional investment in health transformations and the dangers of following unproven methods. It's all about prioritising your well-being and embracing a more authentic path to health. About Charlotte: I work 1-1 with busy women and stressed-out mums who feel like they've lost a piece of themselves along the way. Whether it’s the never-ending to-do list, the pressure to keep everyone else happy, or just the exhaustion that comes from constantly putting yourself last, I've been there, and I get it. My role is to help you reconnect with you. Together, we’ll work on reclaiming your identity beyond the titles of ‘mum,’ ‘partner,’ or ‘professional.’ We’ll rebuild your confidence from the inside out and create a body you love, not because of how it looks, but because of how strong, energised, and capable you feel in it. This isn’t about quick fixes or crash diets. It’s about sustainable, empowering change that fits into your real life. You deserve to feel proud of yourself again, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way. This week I’m joined by the incredible Charlotte De Curtis, and we’re diving deep into the real side of the fitness and wellness world, the stuff that goes way beyond meal plans and gym selfies. Charlotte shares her powerful journey from being a traditional personal trainer to becoming a coach who supports women with mindset and emotional well-being. We talk openly about the emotional layers behind physical transformation, the reality of weight loss surgery, and how important it is to address what’s going on inside before we focus on the outside. We also explore how social media has shaped the way we see wellness, and why showing up with honesty and vulnerability is more important than ever. This conversation is packed with truth, compassion, and some seriously eye-opening reflections on what it means to create real, lasting change. I recently sat down with Nic from Plate Spinning Academy to dig into the real, sometimes gritty side of entrepreneurship. We had a laugh calling it a “darker Disneyland,” a place that looks glittery on the outside but is full of hidden twists and turns on the inside. And let’s be honest, we both feel that so much of the marketing we see around entrepreneurship is full of wild promises about overnight success and endless income streams. | The Shift In Sales You Needed To Know | 05 Nov 2024 | 00:35:30
As we gear up for the holiday season, sales strategies must adapt to shifting consumer behaviours. While high-end luxury is rebounding, middle-tier customers are tightening budgets, impacting sectors like luxury hotels and events. Meanwhile, affordable feel-good purchases remain popular, offering a window for brands targeting lower-tier consumers. This season, ethical sales practices are key. Moving away from high-pressure tactics to focus on customer-centric approaches builds trust and fosters loyalty. Diversifying channels - like writing, podcasting, and broadening product offerings - creates stability and reaches a wider audience. Above all, ensure purchasing feels joyful, not desperate. By prioritising authentic engagement and value, sales teams can make this holiday season memorable for customers and beneficial for business. | Kill Off Your Inner Bitch | 29 Oct 2024 | 00:24:24
We all know that inner critic—the one that chips away at our confidence, whispering doubts and negativity. I've struggled with it myself, letting it hold me back for too long. But I’ve learned that we can rewrite that internal dialogue. Recognising those harsh thoughts and actively challenging them has been a game-changer for me. I’ve also come to understand how things like sugar and simple carbs can mess with our mood and energy, impacting how we feel about ourselves. By making small, mindful changes in how we nourish ourselves, we can improve our mental resilience too. And then there’s the fear of what others think—a powerful barrier that often stops us from showing up as our authentic selves. Learning to let go of that fear and advocate for myself has been incredibly freeing. Self-acceptance and self-advocacy are essential in both our personal and professional lives, and they’re key to building the confidence to pursue what we truly want. When we choose to quiet that inner critic, we create space for growth, joy, and genuine fulfilment. Scale Faster with The Growth HackGrowth marketing tips & tech insights from those who’ve done it. In this episode, I sat down with the wonderful Ashley from the Healthy Metal Hippie to dive deep into a topic that is so close to both our hearts: empowering women through business and personal growth. As the founder of Beyond the Dawn, my mission has always been to help a million women transform their worlds. But today’s conversation goes beyond just that — it’s about raising consciousness and pushing back against the negative digital biases we encounter every day. Ashley has been on such a profound journey, and I’m so grateful she opened up about it with me. She talked about her own story, from overcoming abuse to reclaiming her power, and how having the right support can make all the difference. We explored the psychological impacts of trauma and the sheer resilience it takes to rise from it. Her strength is a reminder that no matter what you face, the right network of people and the right mindset can empower you to rewrite your story. Together, we also discussed how we can all be positive influences and why collective change is possible when we support one another. This conversation is about acknowledging the challenges, but more importantly, celebrating the power we hold to create something better for ourselves and others. This is part one of our conversation, and I hope you find it as inspiring as I did. Scale Faster with The Growth HackGrowth marketing tips & tech insights from those who’ve done it. | Let them - Is Mel Robbins Really A Fraud? | 18 Mar 2025 | 00:22:23
Alright, pretties, let’s get into it! There’s been some buzz around Mel Robbins’ latest book Let Them - not just because it’s another powerhouse of motivational wisdom, but because some folks are raising eyebrows over whether the core concept actually originated from someone else. We’re talking about Cassie Phillips, who shared a very similar idea before Robbins’ book hit the shelves. Now, Mel is known for taking big, impactful messages and making them digestible, relatable, and oh-so-quotable. But when it comes to crediting original ideas, is there a line that’s been crossed? And because I love a good analogy, I’m tying this into a fascinating Netflix documentary about McDonald’s (yes, really). Idea theft isn’t new... it happens in business all the time. So where do we draw the line between inspiration, adaptation, and straight-up copying?
