Winter may be a time for slowing down, getting cozy, and reflecting, but New Year's is a time for resolutions, plans, and building energy.  At long last my craft space was to have been repaired after two months of work to repair damage from a broken waste pipe.  Friends, it was not to be.  My space remains a work in progress and I've barely touched my giant box of new stamps and papers :(  How am I gonna get unstuck?

I've been thinking a lot about celebrating unique special occasions like Pi Day and 626 Day.  This new tradition has brought me so much joy that each month I now make an effort to get at least one on my calendar.  Today's special day was an unexpected day off from work that led me to think about childhood pleasures including hurricane days (snow days for most of you) and how I want to scrapbook them.
