Summer Self-Care
Episode 22
vendredi 12 juin 2026 • Duration 27:54
Join us (Matt and John) for this episode of Beauty Prescribed as we talk all things summer self-care and how to keep your hair and skin looking and feeling their best while still enjoying the season. From new hair extension services and how we customize them for each client, to the importance of hydration, frizz control, and protecting your hair from sun, chlorine, and saltwater, we break down what actually works when humidity kicks in and your routines get tested!
We also open up about the role of product quality and why what you use at home matters just as much as what happens in the salon or treatment room. Whether it's choosing salon-grade hair care, understanding why consultation-based customization makes a difference, or knowing how to maintain results from treatments such as Botox, lasers, or extensions, we highlight the fact that consistency and education are so incredibly important. On the skincare side, we talk about sunscreen being non-negotiable, the risks of UV exposure, and why summer is not a reason to pause treatments but, if anything, is actually a reason to be even smarter about protection.
We also have a bigger-picture conversation about self-care, aging, and doing things that help you feel confident year-round without falling into outdated beauty rules. From softer, more personalized hair choices to regenerative skincare advancements and hormone therapy, we explore how aesthetics is shifting toward improving upon what already works for you rather than masking it. Ultimately, we encourage listeners to keep showing up for themselves in small but meaningful ways, whether that's booking a consultation, sticking to a routine at home, or simply not abandoning self-care when the sun comes out! We hope that you enjoy this episode of the show!

Hormones and Concierge Medicine at H2T!
Episode 21
vendredi 22 mai 2026 • Duration 21:11
Beauty Prescribed with the Medspalogist is back, everyone, I, your Medsapologist Matt Azulay-LaFever, am now joined by my husband and business partner John Azulay-LaFever! We sit down together for this episode to have the kind of conversation that we have been having with clients for years - equal parts education, real talk, and pointing out the absurdity of what people are told to simply "live with." We're unpacking three major services now available at H2T Skin and Laser Center: testosterone replacement for men, hormone replacement therapy for women, and our new concierge medicine program!
We open up about our own experiences with testosterone therapy, the frustrating symptoms that so many people dismiss as "just aging," and why we believe feeling exhausted, foggy, unmotivated, and disconnected from your own body shouldn't be accepted as normal in your forties - or at any age, truthfully. We also get into the massive gaps in women's healthcare, the outdated fears surrounding HRT, and the life-changing changes that we have seen firsthand when women finally receive treatment that actually addresses their symptoms instead of brushing them aside.
We also introduce concierge medicine and explain why we created it out of sheer frustration with today's rushed healthcare system. From same-day help to also doing consultations we are sharing how this service is designed to make life easier, more personal, and a whole lot less stressful. We are excited to be back, and remember, we are here to help you be the best that you can possibly be, so book a consultation!

CIT and Hydrafacial
Episode 11
samedi 13 mai 2023 • Duration 11:54
CIT (collagen induction therapy), also known as micro-needling, has been a very popular treatment for our clients over the last few months, so we wanted to get together today to talk about what it is and what it does!
On average, we lose about 1% of our collagen each year after the age of twenty, and CIT can help build it back. The process involves creating controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to prompt collagen production. Although controlled micro-injuries may sound a bit alarming at first, rest assured that it is a comfortable, painless procedure with a quick and easy recovery time. Results, while not instantaneous, are also relatively quick, as they can be seen within a few weeks to a few months.
We encourage you to talk to your provider to ask about CIT. People are generally very happy with the results, so please reach out to us for a consultation. Also feel free to visit H2T's website, and thanks so much for listening to the show!
