Champion Pitmaster Christie Vanover has cooked and judged the Jack. In this week’s episode, she explains how the draw works. CORRECTION: In this podcast when explaining the trickle effect, I said that the home state teams were taken out of the draw. Today, I confirmed that's not accurate. Home state teams are left in the draw. If after the draw, there are still home state teams not represented, then the Jack adds them.
