Baseless in 10+: Jays vs. Athletics10 sept. 202600:20:24

The Jays may have lost the series to the Athletics, but we refuse to let that kill the vibes. In this episode of Baseless in 10+, we recap a disappointing three-game series that included a heartbreaking Game 1 comeback that fell just short, a much-needed Game 2 win and an absolutely brutal Game 3 shutout.

We’re joined by baseball fan (and style icon) Johanna and our resident baseball explainer Tristan, who help us make sense of the pitching situation, the nine-game road trip, the Sacramento heat, the playoff picture and whether we should be panicking about the rotation.

Then, because we are still Baseless, we get into the important stuff: F*ck, Marry, Kill with Brett Bateman, Dylan Cease and George Springer, our Boyfriend of the Series picks, and Captain Kirk’s very impressive catcher squat.

Most importantly, we get a much-needed reminder that despite the heartbreak, there are still meaningful baseball games ahead.

Episode 11: Welcome to Playoff Panic09 sept. 202600:32:08

The Jays are officially entering playoff-panic territory, and we are HERE FOR IT. In this episode, we discuss how our lives have been consumed by all things Blue Jays and catch up on all the important stuff: Ernie is engaged, Brett Bateman is apparently a meteorologist, Kirk is hitting bombs AND stealing bases, and Vladdy is (kind of) finding his groove. We also make a few overdue apologies, including one to Cam Neely for our Dumb and Dumber misinformation. Priorities.

Then we attempt to make sense of the playoffs in Explain It to Me Like I’m at Brunch, breaking down wild cards, games back, magic numbers, elimination numbers and why we are suddenly scoreboard-watching other teams like our lives depend on it. Plus: Hot or Just Talented? featuring Bobby Witt Jr. and Louis Varland, playoff beards, our most irrational Jays beliefs, and picks for Boyfriends of the Week. Spoiler: Kirk and Brett Bateman have officially stolen our hearts. We’re stressed, we’re obsessed, and we’re going all in.

Also, don't miss our Baseless in 10+ episodes where we recap each Blue Jays series in September alongside our special guests.

LET’S GO JAYS.

We’re back with another Baseless in 10+, our quick(ish) recap of everything you need to know from the latest Blue Jays series — this time, it’s the Royals.

The Jays took two of three in Kansas City, picking up big wins in Games 1 and 2 before the Royals got their revenge in the finale. We break down memorable moments, who showed up when the Jays needed them most, and share our picks for Boyfriend of the Series.

Plus, were joined by special guests (and Baseless fan favourites) Christine and Brian!

Check it out now and get in the know before the Jays take on the Athletics!

Baseless in 10+: Jays vs Guardians04 sept. 202600:15:36

Introducing Baseless in 10 (Plus)!

Baseball season moves FAST, and let’s be honest, sometimes you don’t have time to watch every single game. That’s where we come in. After every Blue Jays series this month, we’re bringing you a roughly 10-minute (plus, because we have never been good at keeping things brief) recap of what happened, what actually matters, and what you need to know before the next series.

And because everything is better with a guest, every episode features a special guest joining us to weigh in, explain the baseball stuff we pretend to understand, and give us their very important opinions. Consider it your crash course in the Jays, with a healthy dose of Baseless chaos along the way.

First up: Lindsay's husband Tony (who briefly pledged his allegiance to the Dodgers) recaps the Jays "season" win over the Guardians.

Episode 10: Welcome to Cheating Scandals26 août 202600:34:11

We made it to Episode 10 of Baseless! What a time to be a Blue Jays fan – it’s a roller coaster ride.

With some recent wins in the books, August baseball is suddenly meaningful, our moods are increasingly tied to the team’s performance, and we’re both fully invested in the playoff chase. We’re talking injuries, the very empty Tropicana Field, fantasy football, and our growing realization that we may have made ourselves into baseball monsters.

We’re also getting into the fun stuff: this week’s Hot or Just Talented? features Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler and Rays star Yandy Díaz, before we take a wild trip through baseball’s biggest cheating scandals, from the 1919 Black Sox to steroids and the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal. Plus, Lia takes the hot seat for rapid-fire questions, we debate the best baseball movies and stadiums, and reveal the reality show we think we could absolutely dominate (hello Jon Montgomery!).

And, of course, we end with Boyfriend of the Week. This week’s pick was a no-brainer for both Lia and Lindsay.

If you’re looking for Jays talk, questionable baseball knowledge, hot players, cheating scandals and two women becoming increasingly obsessed with baseball, Episode 10 has it all.

Episode 9: Welcome to RISP12 août 202600:36:29

We’re back with another episode of Baseless, and there is A LOT to unpack. We’re processing the departures of fan favourites Kevin Gausman and Daulton Varsho, welcoming Josh Smith, Brett Bateman and José Soriano, and asking the question every Jays fan is secretly wrestling with: Do we love the team… or the players?

Plus, we get into the ever-changing world of WAG friendships, dissect Gausman’s comments about the difference between Toronto and Chicago, and introduce a surprising new Jays crush in Spencer Miles in our Hot or Just Talented? segment. Lia also takes on RISP (Runners in Scoring Position) like we’re at brunch because apparently that’s one of the biggest reasons the Jays have struggled this season.

And because no episode of Baseless is complete without chaos, we rapid-fire our way through everything from which Blue Jay we’d want by our side during the apocalypse (and create a new saying while we’re at it) to what we’d frivolously spend $5,000 on. Plus, we crown our latest Boyfriends of the Week (HINT: the newbies are showing up BIG).

The trade deadline may have changed the Jays. It definitely changed us.

Episode 8: Welcome to WAG Life - The Wives & Girlfriends of Baseball29 juil. 202600:37:24

It’s Episode 8 of Baseless, which officially means we've outlasted most podcasts (despite having zero sponsors, questionable baseball expertise, and an unhealthy obsession with athletes' personal lives).

In this episode, we recap everything from MLB's All-Star festivities to the Blue Jays' post-break heartbreak, while trying very hard to remain optimistic. Along the way, we fall down several rabbit holes, including why Dylan Cease's brain should probably be donated to science, why the Home Run Derby is criminally underrated, and which athletes have us completely rethinking our Hot or Just Talented? rankings.

We also dive headfirst into the world of baseball WAGs, or as we prefer to call them, PAFBs (partners and “buddies”). From photographers and dentists to Olympic gold medallists and supermodels, we're celebrating the incredible women behind some of baseball's biggest names and proving, once again, that the off-field stories are often even more interesting than what happens between the foul lines.

Of course, no episode of Baseless would be complete without confidently explaining baseball terms incorrectly, debating whether pineapple belongs on pizza, crowning our Boyfriend of the Week, and sharing the kind of sports opinions that absolutely nobody asked for.

Be sure to leave us a rating and review!

Episode 7: Welcome to Pitching Feats15 juil. 202600:32:30

It's Episode 7! Join us as we ride the rollercoaster that is baseball fandom.

We relive Lindsay's first-ever Blue Jays game (which just happened to end in an 11-0 beatdown by the Mariners) and ask the important questions: Is it too early to panic? Is Topo Chico the official drink of baseball? And can a tiny red dragon on a stick actually save a season? We also gush over Davis Schneider belting out Taylor Swift at karaoke (every lyric, no notes), celebrate the return of good vibes to the clubhouse, and somehow convince ourselves that dragons, baseball and friendship are the formula for success.

We also head into extra innings with our favourite segments, including Hot or Just Talented and Explain It to Me Like We're at Brunch, where we break down baseball's coolest pitching feats - from no-hitters to perfect games and immaculate innings.

Plus, we're issuing apologies, making corrections, celebrating the launch of women's professional baseball, and, of course, crowning our Boyfriend of the Week after another completelynormal, not-at-all-unhinged Instagram deep dive.

Please give us a rating and review - thank you!

Baseless: BONUS - Welcome to FIFA03 juil. 202600:32:47

We're back with our first-ever bonus episode because, somehow, we've caught World Cup fever.

Are we soccer experts? Absolutely not. Have we become deeply invested anyway? Also yes. We chat about why the FIFA World Cup feels so much bigger than any other sporting event and why Vancouver suddenly feels like the centre of the universe. We also tackle Canada's incredible run, the chaos of tournament brackets, WAG culture, and whether a Baseless-branded vuvuzela is the business opportunity we've all been waiting for.

Then we call in reinforcements. Our first-ever podcast guests, and resident soccer fanatics, Brian and Christine join us for a special "Explain It to Me Like We're at Brunch" segment, where they patiently answer our many, many questions. We get the crash course we desperately needed, debate the world's most passionate fan bases, learn why penalty shootouts are equal parts thrilling and cruel, and discover that soccer commentary somehow includes words like "belter," "had a mare," and "dreamland."

Whether you've been following football your entire life or you're just here because everyone else seems really excited, there's no shortage of laughs, questionable takes, and just enough soccer knowledge to fake your way through your next World Cup conversation.

Episode 6: Welcome to Baseball Traditions01 juil. 202600:32:02

In Episode 6, the vibes are high… and the concern level for theBlue Jays might be even higher. Fresh off celebrating Canada’s FIFA World Cup win, we dive into what’s really going on with the Jays: the losing streak, the home run jacket discourse, and whether the team chemistry feels as off as fans thinkit does.

Plus, our ongoing mission to understand baseball’s mostconfusing rules, and discussions around the wonderfully weird traditions that make baseball baseball, and why sometimes loving this sport means embracing the chaos. We also discuss our picks for Hot or Just Talented? and Boyfriend of the Week.

Whether you’re here for the studs, the superstitions, or just the energy, this episode delivers plenty of laughs, questionable takes, and peak baseball vibes.

Episode 5: Welcome to Blue Jays Dad Life17 juin 202600:53:48

Welcome to Episode 5! In this episode, we celebrate our evolution into becoming podcasters and dive into the latest Jays news - hold the STATS.

We unpack the mystery of checked swings and debate whether Yohendrick Pinango, Freddie Freeman, and Jeff Probst (?!) are hot or just talented. We also dive into dad life on the Blue Jays team in time for Father's Day, and somehow find time for sports confessions, rapid-fire questions, and several completely unnecessary - but essential - detours.

Whether you know every rule in baseball or just enjoy great stories and good energy, this episode is proof that baseball can - and should - be for everyonePlease like / follow and give us a rating!

Episode 4: Welcome to Jays Fashion03 juin 202600:54:36

Welcome to Episode 4 of Baseless! In this episode, we dive headfirst into the rise of the Tarps Off movement and ask the important question: how exactly are women supposed to participate? We celebrate Lia's unexpected TikTok fame after her campaign to get Dylan Cease to shave his iconic mustache, and continue our mission to experience baseball with maximum vibes and minimal math.

Along the way, we launch our newly renamed Cliff Notes segment to correct a few of our baseball misunderstandings, learn that a balk is essentially a pitcher yelling "psych!", debate whether Davis Schneider and Andrés Giménez are Hot or Just Talented, break down Blue Jays fashion ranging from luxury labels to Ernie Clement's unwavering commitment to sweatpants, and crown our latest Boyfriends of the Week.

It's baseball fandom at its most chaotic, hilarious, and delightfully unqualified - and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Episode 3: Welcome to Hot Girl Baseball Dictionary20 mai 202600:44:15

Welcome to Episode 3 of Baseless! This episode is pure baseball chaos: technological disasters, fluffy influencer microphones, accidental spider drama, and an extremely brunch-coded explanation of bunting that somehow makes baseball both clearer and more confusing.

We dive into why players bunt, celebrate our psychic connection with Daulton Varsho, and continue spreading the gospel that the Toronto Blue Jays may not always be winning games, but they are absolutely winning on vibes, hugs, and friendship.

This episode also features the debut of the Hot Girl Baseball Dictionary and the fan-favourite segments Hot or Just Talented? and Boyfriend of the Week.

Episode 2: Welcome to Walk-up Songs06 mai 202600:49:52

Welcome to the second episode of Baseless! We're coming in hot after the debut episode to serve cold takes and absolutely no shortage of vibes.

We break down Kazuma Okamoto’s monster home runs, the team’s adorable dugout rituals, gratitude circles, and why this Jays squad might actually be the cutest team in baseball. We introduce new fan-favourite segments like Explain It to Me Like I’m at Brunch (starting with the mystery of the “walk-off”), and the wildly important Hot or Just Talented? , and give a full investigation into “rodent face” attractiveness.

We dive into one of baseball’s most underrated essentials: walk-up songs—because nothing says personality quite like the soundtrack you choose before stepping up to the plate. Add in listener apologies, rapid-fire questions, 75-cent hot dog debates, and the launch of Boyfriend of the Week , and you’ve got the perfect mix of baseball, brunch, and baseless confidence.
