Fat In Your Coffee02 nov. 202500:07:56
This one is pretty simple. If you want the caffeine in the coffee to last longer, add some fat to it. My preferred is butter, but you can go with cream or coconut oil too. Creamers aren't the best option. Some of them are actually fat free so not really going to help slow it down into the system either. The point is that you want to avoid a cortisol and adrenaline response as activated by the caffeine going into the bloodstream. Just mix in some good fat and enjoy!
Gratitude and Prayer Can Make Everything Better23 oct. 202500:07:01
Going back a few years I remember Gary Greenfield telling me that he felt it was more important to have structured water than to get clean water. This seems like it could be translated into a lot of things in life. Can food be made better simply by praying to it and showing gratitude? What a bout thanking your clothes and house. The sun is a good one every morning too!
What I Would Do If I Were You19 oct. 202500:04:44
This week I heard somebody talk about when they are working with somebody they use the phrase "what I would do if I were you." This seemed very powerful and can be applied to any part of life. Make sure to look in the mirror and put it to work. Look in the mirror and give the love back to somebody sitting in front of you.
Should There be a Legal Age to Use Electronic Devices12 oct. 202500:08:13
There are a lot of pivitol moments throughout a life and specific ages that we can begin to do certain things. Driving at 16 Adulthood at 18 Drinking at 21 Renting a car at 25 Wiat, renting a car is the last thing that can be done. Yes, that's right, you're considered an adult for 18 years, before you can rent a car. Okay, you can rent it earlier, they just charge you more. The big thing here is frontal lobe development. Impulse control, emotional regulation. Yeah, they are big and using electronic devices near your head all the time and in general can be a big deal and disrupt the frontal lobe. This isn't saying don't use electronic devices, it's just a warning for proper use. Good luck!
Crack the Window…Let the Sun Shine In01 oct. 202500:03:19
With fall upon us it is time to make sure to be getting plenty of sushine and fresh air. Even as it starts to get colder, just a little crack in your window when driving or inside can make a big difference. Those photons of light mean a lot to the body. Soak them up as well as getting fresh air. It is always better to get a little outside air than inside. Mother Nature knows how to clean it for us.
Give Every Hug Like It’s Your Last28 sept. 202500:02:39
The title pretty much sums it up. Give every hug like it's you're last. That will get you pretty far in life. Not everybody's love language is physical touch. Mine is so I appreciate hugs and even for those where it is not your primary love language, we are still physical beings. This goes a long way in keeping us all together. Love your loved ones!
Paved Path Walking24 sept. 202500:05:05
This is something that I've thought about for a while and had the realization that it was something to talk about. Paved walking paths just don't make sense. They are something it does not seem that Mother Nature would approve of. Really the only thing that does make sense is grass, dirt or stones. It is better to connect with than blacktop or concrete. It is also just easier on the joints. Either way it is still better to get out and walk, but when you can make the decision or vote what you want in your community. Keep walking!
What I Wouldn’t Do If I Had Cancer21 sept. 202500:09:40
Going into this episode I thought I was going to say maybe I'd do... Well as it turns out I'm not sure how much if any of the standard medical model I'd follow. I was actually able to think very clearly about my decisions and surgery, chemo and radiation all pretty much seemed out the window. Of course it would be a very different situation if I was in this position, howeve as of right now I feel more comfortable getting my body as healthy as possible and then letting God do what God is going to do.
What I’m Doing To Avoid Cancer17 sept. 202500:07:08
The beauty of what I'm doing to avoid cancer is that these are just general healthy principles. Go back to the last 2 episodes on what I'd do if I had cancer and the answer would be pretty much the same. All that matters is that you take care of yourself and I'm trying to do the same thing. This is going to be different for all of us. The biggest things come down to the following... Get as much sunshine as possible Ground as much as possible Spend time outside in general Reduce non-native EMF radiation. No wearable devices and keep phone off the body
What I’d Do If I Had Cancer Part 214 sept. 202500:15:59
After a great response to last weeks podcast on What I'd Do If I Had Cancer there were a few things that I forgot and then a few to add to round out the full list. Here you go... Fasting: pretty self explanatory. Don't eat all the time and let the body start to heal itself. Masszymes are my favorite type of proteolytic or digestive enzymes. Anything to help the body clean itself up alongside fasting Hot and Cold: Get hot, get cold, repeat Natural fiber clothing. This includes cotton, preferably Organic when available, hemp, bamboo and my personal favorite...WOOL!
What I’d Do If I Ever Had Cancer07 sept. 202500:43:36
After having had a few friends be diagnosed with cancer recently and having conversations with them I wanted to put this out there. This is not meant to be a "hey, you have to do this," but more of here are things you can try. The first 4 things on the list are my non-negotiables. They are things that we all would benefit from. Most other things are great for health and what I like to do on a daily basis. Ground to Mother Earth as much as possible Get as much sunshine/natural sunlight as possible Full body exposure, especially affected area When indoors use full spectrum lighting and Red Lights Let's not forget the UVA/UVB as well No non native EMF on my body. No wearables or phones. Get outside Consume lots of chaga and reishi mushrooms Drink locally sources vortexed water. If can't get this then filter it like crazy to get the garbage out and add in salt. Etherion Dynamics Vortexer Anelemma Water Wand Celtic Sea Salt Baja Gold Salt Eliminate negativity in your life Maintain or learn to cultivate a strong mind through meditation or any means that work for you Work in and doing moving meditations to help pump your body Seek out heelers of all sorts Craniosacral therapy Acupuncture Molecular hydrogen in morning water Water and Wellness Dr. Mercola High dose magnesium Bioptimizers Magnesium Breakthrough Garden of Life Magnesium Shielded bedroom Shielded healing Go into ketosis, at least cyclically Learn to breath properly all the time Be happy and learn what happy baking is for you Walk a whole lot to keep pumping the body Eat a lot of seafood, eat the rainbow of fruits and veggies (more veggies than fruit), mostly low carb and Organic High does, whole food vitamin C Terrasoul Camu Camu Do more ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms Talk to and ask God why this is happening. Remember that everything happens for a reason and what is it do I have to learn from this Live like you are dying. Quit job if not loving it and find something that is fulfilling LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Qigong, Shamanism and Psychospiritual Healing with Steve Macari17 août 202501:31:20
It has been a few years, too many for sure, since Steve and I have talked. It was a pleasure to have him back on the show. His sharing of Qigong was completely eye opening and I'm so glad we go to discuss it. Learning about the word shamanize was interesting as well as I'd never heard it used in that context.  Here is the book we discussed Between heaven and Earth and will certainly be the next book I have on my bookshelf and diving into as it seems that it is something that all of us should learn more about. The Speed of Life is Up to You with Nick Horowski05 août 2025
Yes, the speed of life really is up to you. If you believe that things are going slower then you are right. On the flip side if you believe that they are going faster then you are also right. It is not easy to slow down time, however, if you can become aware of it then you can change it. Whether you are young or old it does not matter. This can be why some people experience either heaven or hell on earth. It all comes down to your state of mind of time. This is not something that I'll pretend is easy or simple. In the hardest times of my life it certainly did feel that time could barely move. Sometimes it is hard to slow down the best times too. Either way, being present is not always the easiest. It is still up to us how we will go through life. Slow it down if you like and enjoy the ride!
Somebody is Always Watching with Nick Horowski03 août 2025
Sometimes you get great lessons right in your face. It is great to know that this works when your kids see the good stuff. Remember that they see everything. On a hike today with Cooper he wanted to get spring water. Then when there he started doing some rack stacking. Finally before we left he turned around, said thank you for the water and to Mother nature, put his hands together and bowed to the water. Of course this made me just about cry and also extremely proud. This also of course had me realize that any of the bad stuff is always being watched too. I encourage you whether you are parent, grandparent, kid or whatever your situation that somebody is always watching. Do you best in any way you can and when it is for the better, people will see and they will follow.
Hiking for Water, Stopped Deadlifting and Better Squatting31 juil. 2025
This episode I take a deper dive into water. It was a big topic recently when discussing with patients in the clinic and wanted to make sure to bring it up again here. Some of these things I forget to mention to people because they have become so engrained in my everyday.  -Drink from glass or stainless steel. No plastic! -Add minerals or electrolytes. My favorites are Celtic Sea Salt, Baja Gold and Paleo Valley Essential Electrolytes. -As an added benefit you can go to Find A Spring to find local structured water. Just like you hear about buying local food, local water is equally important and beneficial. Some places you can also get a hike in with it to get some extra time in Mother Nature! Why I stopped deadlifting...yeah even this surprised me. However, I'm okay with it. I still complete my bend/hinge pattern regularly with sandbags and kettlebell swings. This gets me plenty of the movement and don't have to worry about the increased time and recovery that it takes to complete heavy deadlifts. My squatting challenges have continued. This has been a good lesson though and teaches me that there are always things to work on. Don't forget that even "movement experts" still have things that they need to address. The biggest thing is realizing that you have to work on them and then put the time and effort in. "Can't grow you calves." Well we all know that's not true. Put in the time and work and they'll grow just like anything else. If you want them, they will come.

Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Growth in 202407 janv. 2024
This is why I have set out a few goals for 2024 that are roughly outlined below and some of which are a work in progress or just need to be refined a bit as the year progresses: Walk on hands 10 feet Run a sub 6 minute mile Carry a bodyweight sandbag for a marathon Record and publish 52 podcasts Continue and take a deeper dive into shamanic exploration Turn into more of a part time farmer Recent shamanic journeys into the lower world have revealed to me to start with blueberries, bees and bunnies, but more on that to come Increase my levels of cold exposure This can include duration, frequency and maybe variety Now with these goals in mind I encourage you to begin to think about what it is in your life that you would like so that you can see what type of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth you can make in 2024 and beyond, because don’t forget that we are all on the journey of life together. This is not something that is a race to finish. That being said, enjoy the wins and celebrate them along the way. When you do have something make sure to savor it as all that we have around us is very special. Enjoy time exploring this, enjoy time with yourself and enjoy your time with loved ones. Health equals freedom and let us all stay free together!

Health Equals Freedom with Nick Horowski08 oct. 2023
It has come to my belief that Health Equals Freedom. I believe that JP Sears of Awaken with JP fame has mentioned the same thing and I completely agree for many reasons. It has actually become part of my political beliefs and this isn’t going to be overly political however to maintain freedom I do believe that you must maintain your health. This comes on many levels. Most people think of physical health first. This is greatly important. You must maintain strength and endurance physically to maintain your freedom or you will lose the ability to play with your kids or grandkids, take a great vacation, go for a hike, work in the yard, complete all of your housework, etc. etc. That and we must also be sure that we maintain our freedom if we should ever be under physical attack. This is important, but mental health is truly paramount and is a must to maintain both physical and emotional health freedom. The mind is more powerful than any “supercomputer” ever will be. The mind can control both our physical and emotional health in every aspect. Keep your mind strong and your physical and emotional health will follow. Do not neglect any of them and build your health like a pyramid. Make a wider and wider base and you can make it taller and taller. But never spread yourself too thin so that you do not topple over. Begin your journey, or keeps yours going today. This way you will never let anybody or any organization take control of you. There are many companies and governments out there trying to do so right now, but you can stand for you own health freedom. Health Equals Freedom! “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”- Napoleon Hill JP Sears Health Equals Freedom
Health Equals Freedom with Nick Horowski08 oct. 2023

My Take on Covid 19 and Standing Up for Yourself17 janv. 2021
After getting a lot of questions I wanted to give you my take on Covid 19 and standing up for yourself in general. This really was fun for me to record because it speaks to how much propaganda I have heard from friends, patients and clients that needs to be addressed about overall health. Here is the rundown: My life barely changed Covid 19 is real, people are sick and some are dying Where did it start, who is behind it. Bill Gates, China, etc. Where is the "regular flu" and the "average cold" Masks- are they effective, breathing in CO2 and how they affect breathing patterns Social distancing, social depression...LOVE PEOPLE! Shutting down everything Make your own decisions, we are adults! If you have comorbidities, you should be scared of getting sick to begin with Get Healthy Now Domestic abuse/violence and suicides Vaccine- Going to have to pass on this one. Normally takes 10-15 years, not a few months I am not a virologist, I just think for myself The stimulus package More things to take away freedoms that will be very soon behind What is FEAR: False evidence appearing real Don't believe all the numbers from either side What you can do to stay healthy during any time of your life Sleep (quality, not just quantity) Get outdoors Exercise and breathe properly Get your mind right No sugar, no vegetable oils Fasting Vitamin D, Vitamin C (whole food and intravenous), zinc, selenium, nebulized food grade hydrogen peroxide, peptides There you have it. My take on Covid 19 and standing up for yourself. Don't worry, there will be much more to come on all of these subjects in the future. I encourage you to take your life and health into your own hands and stand up for what you believe in, research it and change your mind if necessary as we all have more to learn.
Travis’ 2021 Health Plan- Pre Bedtime Eating, Probiotics and Digestion12 janv. 202100:37:18
Got on the line with a good friend of mine Travis Robbins and we discussed a new health plan for the 2021 year for him and called it of course Travis' 2021 Health Plan. With that in mind here is just a nice conversation of how much fun it can be working with somebody to really help them get their health back on track. Below are Travis' notes that he took that just seem to work well if you have any questions Travis’ 2021 health plan     To Do No meals inside of 3 hours before bedtime Try to keep meat as far away from bedtime as possible If you do eat meat, get some apple cider vinegar onboard 15 min before you eat the meat. Try to keep your feeding window small, maybe noon-6pm Eat more yogurt Nancy’s Yogurt Apple cider vinegar Salt your water Maybe use green tea to get more water  Get rid of sugar to decrease inflammation Eat more pre-biotic foods - cold starches like potatoes an rice... Never heard of this concept - pre-biotic. What is this? Why should I eat them? Why cold? Feeds the gut bacteria. Cold because it helps the resistant starch to form Drink more bone broth A few teaspoons of Apple cider vinegar 15 min before meals can help with digestion. Also putting it on food can help.  HCL pills Can I get a protocol for this? I know you talked about taking a bunch on a monday, but when else should I be eating these things? Where do you get them from? Start with one before a meal. Add 1 each time until you feel a warm sensation in your stomach and then back off 1 from there. If you need 5 to feel warmth then use 4 until you feel the warmth and keep titrating down Chew your food more Make a salad in the morning with apple cider vinegar and olive oil, wait till lunch to eat it so the vinegar breaks down the salad. Proteolytic enzymes for general inflammation Garden of life brand - can you get me a link? https://smile.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Joint-Support-Supplement/dp/B0015G3IZM/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-rsf1_0?crid=U5XFCN8OUFU&cv_ct_cx=garden+of+life+wobenzym+n&dchild=1&keywords=garden+of+life+wobenzym+n&pd_rd_i=B0015G3IZM&pd_rd_r=bd5b876b-860a-4c09-b775-30b1dc354605&pd_rd_w=TtHn0&pd_rd_wg=TZFg0&pf_rd_p=e0f994a8-a359-40a9-8917-dadca71c7184&pf_rd_r=W2180EYF83233F6GH2XX&psc=1&qid=1609791313&sprefix=garden+of+life+wobe%2Caps%2C618&sr=1-1-526ea17f-3f73-4b50-8cd8-6acff948fa5a  What dosage and timing do you recommend? Start with 3 on empty stomach first thing in morning and then 3 at night before bed. Work up to 5 or whatever you feel to be beneficial.
Biggest Lessons of 2020, Health Trackers and Standing Up for Beliefs27 déc. 2020
Now there could be 1,000,001 things that I could have put for lessons learned in 2020, but none of them would have been the biggest lessons of 2020. I had really missed podcasting and sharing health in this manner with you and so decided that it was time to bring it back and I am currently figuring out how to prioritize podcasting in my life to be able to bring at minimum weekly episodes out. In the meantime here is a quick rundown of what all I covered in this episode: Don't hate on 2020 You probably won't look back in 20 years and say to yourself "Wow, I wish I would just lose a year of my life." No growth comes from hardship, so be  better for it. Don't eat to close to bedtime "Healthy" refined carbs still suck Health trackers are a great starting place (I used Whoop and Oura) They still can't replace learning/feeling/knowing yourself Stand up for what you believe in "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life." -Winston Churchill Don't live in fear Educate yourself: how to be healthy, vaccines, media, etc. Vitamin D3, zinc, selenium, IV vitamin C, peptides, nebulized hydrogen peroxide Move more throughout the day You can fix everything into your life you want...if you prioritize What I missed and or love Family Lifting Outdoors Archer Sharing health (podcast, coaching, bodywork, living it) Please check it out and let me know about your lessons that you learned in 2020 as well. We are all on this rock together so let's make it a better place together too! 2021 is certainly going to be a blast and I hope that you are looking forward to it. Set yourself up for a great year now by making sure that you love and live each day to the fullest.

The Holistic Playground with Jeff Brion26 févr. 202001:05:00
What a pleasure it was to be able to chat with Jeff Brion of The Holistic Playground about his adventures. Jeff and I met about 8 years back at an HLC 3 class with the one and only Paul Chek. After not really being in contact, I thankfully saw Jeff and all that he was doing with the Holistic Playground on social media and knew that we had to connect and share what he was doing. As a C.H.E.K. Practitioner Jeff healed himself from many ailments including Ulcerative Colitis. His teachings are a comprised philosophy of holistic living principles to vibrate at one’s most optimal level. Through Jeff’s work with his clients he teaches a multi-disciplinary approach of physical integration, postural correction/strengthening, myo-fascial release/stretching, spinal decompression, mobilization techniques, mental-movement coordination, moving meditation and holistic lifestyle principles and nutrition. Jeff’s passion is healing through movement. His teachings evoke you to open your body to new cognitive movements so you may open your mind to new stages of awareness physically, mentally/emotionally and spiritually. For those of you interested in either a float in Laguna Beach or going for a retreat in the mountains of woods of California make sure to check out Jeff Brion and The Holistic Playground on social media.
