This week we take a look at the Norwegian WW11 resistance story of Gunnar Sonsteby  Number 24.  This is a slow burn movie that delves into the life of a resistance fighter and some of the undercover operations he took part in and organised to sabotage the Nazi occupiers. 

We also take a brief look at the new Apple action movie The Gorge.  Does this latest Apple movie live up to the hype? Listen on to find out.

This week the lads take a look at the fictional 2024 film Civil War. Starring Kirsten Dunst as the jaded Lee Smith a war photographer that's at the end of her tether and Cailee Spaeny as the young aspiring photographer wanting to make a mark. It's a slowish film at time that often reminds of the war films of the 80's and 90's. Is it worth a watch? Listen on to find out.

This week the lads take a look at the most recent Alien franchise offering Alien Romulus. Directed by horror film master Fede Alvarez Romulus was hyped up as taking the Alien films back to their  roots and being a good space horror. Whilst the film looks fantastic it doesn't quite hit the mark of some of the earlier films to be honest it cherry pics from earlier films and mashes them together. It begs the question has the franchise run its course? 
We also take a look at the hidden gem of Cocaine Bear. As the title suggests the film doesn't take itself seriously and provides loads of laughs with some gruesome deaths!

This week the lads take a look at two vastly different film. One a cult classic the other a festive film that may become a family favourite in time.
John Carpenters The Thing is probably his best film to date. Starring Kurt Russell at his best this film is a must watch for sci-fi fans and still holds up today. It's worth watching for the practical effects alone. Hot Frosty isn't.

This week the lads take a look at the 2016 film Hidden Figures. Based on the book by Margot Lee Shetterly Hidden Figures tells the story of three African American women working for NASA during the 1950's. Whilst playing a pivotal role in the success of NASA at the time the women had to cope with racial and gender discrimination. Listen on to hear what the lads made of the film.

This week in a break from the norm we took a look at the Hayao Miyazaki animated film Howl's Moving Castle. At times this film is visually stunning but as with many of Miyazaki's films sometime a little hard to follow. The story in Howl's Moving Castle is based in an alternate reality filled with wizard, witches, turnip topped scare crows and talking fire. A great film for younger audiences which did fantastically well at the box office. listen on to hear what we thought of it. This film was a suggestion so thank you to Etsuko for suggesting the film.

This week we take a look at the hidden gem Wicked Little Letters. Based on the true story of a series of letters laced with profanities that were sent to various residents in the sea side town of Littlehampton in the 1920's. At the time the letters were seen as so serious that the then home secretary himself got involved. Rose Gooding was accused and convicted of sending the letters but was she the culprit? Were these letters a prelude to trolling that we all to often hear of today?!

This week we took look at the underrated film The Outfit. very well cast and with a good flow this film is a quiet must watch. Based around an English cutter that decides it's time to break away from the gangs using his shop as a front for money laundering.

This week we take a look at the ground breaking sequel Terminator 2. Directed by James Cameron this movie had effects that were for the time ground breaking and for a while set the standard of film special effects. We also chat about the 1977 epic A Bridge Too Far. Controversial at the time the film tells the story of the failed Allied offencive Market Garden. Due to poor planning lack of equipment and no communications operation Market Garden is seen as one of WWII most costly failures.

This week we took a look at the Jordon Peele movie Nope. A film of two halves the first half being dark (visually) and a little converluted and the second half far more pacy and action packed. Don't expect this film to have you on the edge of your seat but it's worth a watch and probably a second watch to catch the things you might have missed! This week the lads chat about the 2022 film Where The Crawdads Sing. Directed by Olivia Newman and based on the best selling  book of the same name by Delia Owens. Telling the story of Kya a young girl living in early 1960's America and abandoned by her family she is forced to defend herself in court after being accused of murder. This week the lads take a look at the fantastic film Godzilla Minus One. If only Hollywood could make a film as fantastic as this one! The director Akashi Yamasaki should be give the reigns to all future Godzilla movies as this film blows all the previous film out of the water its that good! Godzilla done as it should be!! Fantastic cast fantastic special effects and brilliant story. A must watch.

This week the lads took a look at two listener suggestions. The Remains of the Day (1993) which has a fantastic cast including Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant,  Christopher Reeve, James Fox,  Lena Heady to name but a few. This film is slow very slow and wasn't a favourite with a few of the lads but we all recognised its a well made film flawlessly acted. We also took a look back at the 1937 black and white classic Oh, Mr Porter! Starring the  trio of Will Hay, Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt whom at the time were massive stars itsa slap stick comedy at it best.

This week we take a look at the 2018 road trip movie Green Book. This film comes with a bit of controversy regarding the message it's trying to get across. For some its a feel good movie about the developing relationship between Dr Donald Shirley and Tony Lip as the travel across America attending concert dates. This episode the lads take a look at the 2019 film Ford v Ferrari. Based on the events in 1966 during which Ford won the 24 hour Le Mans race beating the dominant Ferrari. The film follows the relationship between Carroll Shelby, Ken Miles and the Ford company itself and whilst there's a good deal of poetic licence on offer it's a good representation of how this panned out. In this episode the lads take a look at Society of the Snow a film based on real life events and by all accounts  an accurate account of the 1972 Uruguayan flight that crashed in the Andes. The survivors had to endure 72 days of freezing conditions and a lack of food. 
We also took a look at the 2016 film Wiskey Tango Foxtrot. Once again this film was inspired by true events however in this film there was no snow!

This week the lads watched the 2014 cult movie Creep. Suggested by Laura its fair to say this isn't a film the lads themselves would have picked! Josef played by Mark Duplass is a serial killer that lures his victims to film him for 12 hours and then murder them. Mark Duplass play an excellent creepy character that becomes more unhinged as the film progresses. The lads found the red flags that were obvious and the character Aaron played by Patrick Brice hard to ignore! Thanks Laura for the suggestion!
