Adult Star Karen Fisher: Why Bigger Boobs Changed EVERYTHING About Her Career21 Oct 202600:39:22

Send us Fan Mail

Karen Fisher spent years trying to establish herself in adult entertainment. Then she made one physical change, and suddenly the industry started paying attention.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with veteran adult performer Karen Fisher for a conversation about breast implants, the MILF industry, bisexuality, body image, aging, adult entertainment in the 2000s and what it takes to stay relevant after more than two decades.

Karen began her career as an exotic dancer in Oregon before landing her first modelling job with Score Magazine. But breaking into mainstream adult films wasn't easy. Between expensive trips to Los Angeles, cancelled bookings and unpredictable pay, she struggled to make the business financially worthwhile.

Everything changed after she moved to California and increased the size of her breast implants.

Karen reveals how directors and companies who previously overlooked her suddenly began pursuing her, why she viewed cosmetic surgery as a business decision, and how her image evolved from a young performer into one of the industry's recognizable mature stars.

We also discuss her early experiences with bisexuality, how adult entertainment helped her become more comfortable with her sexuality, and the boundaries she's maintained throughout her career.

Karen takes us behind the scenes of the adult industry before creator platforms, including inappropriate behaviour she witnessed, long shooting days, and the changes she's seen in professionalism and performer protections.

She also explains why fans now value personal interaction as much as adult content, how she handles criticism about her age and appearance, and why having a life outside the industry has helped her maintain her career.

After more than 20 years, Karen is still adapting, building her own business and considering a return to more studio productions.

We talk about what keeps her going, why she no longer lets strangers define her worth, and the lessons she wishes newer performers understood before entering the industry.

Tyler Faith: Why I WALKED AWAY From Adult Entertainment — And Why I Came Back14 Oct 202600:48:20

Send us Fan Mail

What happens when an adult star walks away from the industry, only to realize she's not finished?

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with veteran adult performer Tyler Faith for a conversation about the golden age of adult entertainment, Jill Kelly Productions, contract stars, relationships, consent, career burnout and making a comeback on her own terms.

Raised in a strict Italian household in Boston, Tyler was determined to live differently. She began exotic dancing at 18, entered adult films through Pleasure Productions and eventually stepped away from the industry for a relationship that left her feeling suppressed.

Everything changed when Jill Kelly offered her a contract.

Tyler takes us inside the era when adult performers signed exclusive studio deals, appeared in magazines, travelled for feature dancing and starred in elaborate productions with scripts, storylines and creative control. She explains how Jill Kelly became both her mentor and lifelong friend, and the most important lesson she taught her: you can always say no.

We discuss the realities of working in adult entertainment before VIP Channels, how much freedom contract performers actually had, and why Tyler believes today's newcomers shouldn't feel pressured to do everything to become successful.

Tyler also opens up about launching her own production company, navigating relationships that became intertwined with business, and the burnout that eventually led her to leave Los Angeles and return to Boston.

After years away, she made her comeback.

Now, Tyler explains why she prefers controlling her own content, choosing her collaborators and working on her own schedule rather than returning to the demanding studio system she once knew.

We also talk about the difference between Tyler Faith the performer and the woman she is away from the cameras, the changing business of adult entertainment, and why knowing your worth matters more than any paycheck.

Becoming Blake Lovely: Transitioning, Adult Entertainment & Making Music & Refusing To Be Controlled07 Oct 202600:58:44

Send us Fan Mail

Blake Lovely spent years trying to make it in music while hiding a part of herself she had understood since childhood. Eventually, she reached a point where she couldn't do it anymore.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with musician, adult performer and director Blake Lovely for a conversation about transitioning, the music industry, adult entertainment, identity, rejection, creativity and building a career on your own terms.

Before entering adult entertainment, Blake moved to Los Angeles to pursue music. She recorded albums, toured with her band Animal Sun and eventually earned recognition for her work. But behind the music was a much more personal story.

Blake opens up about writing "Girl in Blue" about her desire to transition, why meeting transgender fans after shows affected her so deeply and the moment she decided that living authentically mattered more than protecting the career she had built.

Blake discusses the reaction from people around her, the challenges she says she experienced in the music industry and why adult entertainment eventually became a place where she found something she hadn't expected: community.

Some of the transgender performers Blake once watched and admired eventually became her friends, mentors and co-stars.

Within a few years, she went from performing music on an awards stage as the only transgender person in the room to returning to that same venue to accept an award for her work in adult entertainment surrounded by people she felt understood her.

But Blake didn't want to remain only in front of the camera.

She opens up about moving into directing, creating Once Upon a TS Summer and her goal of bringing cinematic storytelling back to adult films at a time when much of the industry has shifted toward creator-driven content.

We also discuss her latest project, Nobody Walks In Clean, why she assembled a cast of prominent transgender performers and her ambition to push transgender adult entertainment further into mainstream storytelling.

Blake also talks about learning to stop chasing perfection, navigating body image during transition, rediscovering music and refusing to let one label define who she is.

For Blake, being a musician, transgender woman, performer, director and artist aren't competing identities. They're different parts of the same person.

Lauren Strong & Krystyna Lauren Teach You How To Be Sexy On Command | Sexxy: The Show Vegas Dancers30 Sep 202600:56:55

Send us Fan Mail

What does it actually take to be sexy on command?

Behind the costumes, choreography and confidence of a Las Vegas showgirl are years of auditions, rejection, competition, body pressure and learning how to walk onto a stage and perform even when you don't feel your best.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with professional dancers Lauren Strong and Krystyna Lauren from Las Vegas' Sexxy The Show for a conversation about professional dance, burlesque, bodybuilding, body dysmorphia, confidence, rejection and what really happens behind the scenes when being sexy becomes part of your job.

Long before becoming Vegas showgirls, Lauren and Krystyna were already accustomed to high-performance environments.

Lauren spent years in professional dance and cheer, performing across the NFL, NBA and NLL worlds while experiencing firsthand how competitive auditions can be. She opens up about making an NFL team, being cut the following season and learning how quickly your identity can become attached to the career you've worked so hard to build.

Krystyna spent years auditioning for professional dance opportunities while also building a career in competitive bodybuilding, fitness and coaching.

Together, they open up about something both worlds taught them: when your body becomes part of your profession, it can become very difficult to stop evaluating it.

Krystyna discusses struggling with body dysmorphia, analyzing her body even when she didn't need to and eventually stepping away from bodybuilding competition to figure out whether she still wanted that life.

Lauren reveals that she experienced body pressure from both sides. While bodybuilding rewarded one physique, professional cheer told her her upper body had become too muscular and needed to look more feminine.

Eventually, both women found themselves entering a very different world: burlesque. And something unexpected happened. Performing in Sexxy The Show didn't make them more critical of their bodies. It began helping them become more accepting of themselves.

We also talk about rejection, perfectionism, burnout, aging as a professional performer, female friendship, competition and why learning to separate your identity from your achievements may be one of the hardest lessons for a high performer to learn.

Ava Devine Goes To Pole School With Claudia Renée | She Talks Confidence, Sensuality & Her Journey23 Sep 202600:59:13

Send us Fan Mail

Pole dancing has spent decades being dismissed because of its connection to strip clubs and erotica.

But what happens when women stop seeing sensuality as something they perform for somebody else, and start discovering it for themselves?

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with international pole dancer, instructor, and Team Basework founder Claudia Renee to talk about pole dancing, confidence, sensuality, strength, body image, sexual independence, and what really happens when women discover what their bodies are capable of.

What started as a birthday gift eventually became a career that has taken Claudia around the world, teaching thousands of women from different backgrounds and ultimately building Team Basework, her virtual pole dancing community with instructors from around the world. But Claudia's approach to pole goes far beyond learning tricks.

She explains why pole dancing can transform the way women see themselves, how physical strength can translate into emotional confidence and how she has watched women begin asking for what they want after discovering a different side of themselves through movement.

We also talk about something Claudia refuses to separate from the conversation: where pole dancing comes from. Pole has increasingly entered the worlds of fitness, competitive sport and mainstream entertainment, but Claudia believes respecting the art also means respecting its relationship with erotic dancers and spicy workers.

She takes us behind the scenes of training Constance Wu for Hustlers, the controversy she witnessed surrounding the production and why she believes pole dancers, midnight ballerinas, and spicy workers should be supporting each other rather than fighting over who is allowed to participate in the art form.

Mia Isabella: The Fullness of Her Freedom, The Tyga Scandal, Trans Identity & Taking Her Life Back16 Sep 202601:04:07

Send us Fan Mail

For most of her life, Mia Isabella refused to let other people decide who she was allowed to be.

Long before becoming one of the most recognizable transgender performers in adult entertainment, Mia was an artist, fashion designer, student, caregiver and young woman trying to build a life entirely on her own terms.

Then fame came.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with Mia Isabella for an intimate conversation about her childhood, transgender identity, race, family, fashion, adult entertainment, relationships, fame, the Tyga controversy, depression and what it actually means to live freely.

Mia takes us back to growing up in East Tennessee, where she says she understood herself as feminine from the age of five despite having no concept of what being transgender meant.

Raised by powerful women who encouraged her to tell the truth about who she was, Mia says she never learned to view being different as something that should limit her. But her childhood was also complicated by race, family conflict, and eventually discovering prejudices within the people she loved most.

As a biracial child growing up between different sides of her family, Mia opens up about confronting racism and colorism, becoming estranged from her grandmother for nearly a decade and eventually learning that loving someone doesn't mean accepting everything they believe.

She explains how she helped create an image of transgender women that went beyond reducing them to their bodies: full glamour, fashion, femininity and fantasy. But behind the public persona was a much more complicated private life.

Mia opens up about relationships with powerful and wealthy men, getting married extremely young, living what appeared to be an extraordinarily privileged life and eventually realizing that money, houses, jewelry and security could still become a cage.

She describes the moment she finally chose freedom over that life, leaving almost everything behind, driving to Las Vegas and rebuilding herself as Mia Isabella.

Then we talk about the controversy that changed everything.

Mia addresses the Tyga scandal, what she says actually happened when the story exploded online, the impersonation accounts she says helped ignite the controversy and why she believes the public narrative reduced an entire career to one sensational story.

She also explains why she has never wanted to publicly discuss the intimate details of her relationships with famous men. For Mia, those relationships were between human beings, not headlines.

But the consequences of public scrutiny were very real.

She explains how the scandal damaged the career she had spent years building, affected her relationships and professional opportunities, contributed to a deep depression, and ultimately led her to retreat from interviews and public attention for nearly a decade.

Now, she is telling her story from a very different place.

Victoria Vale: Aging, Plastic Surgery & Why Your 40s & 50s Might Be Better Than Your 20s09 Sep 202600:55:28

Send us Fan Mail

Society has an unwritten rule for women: youth is beauty, beauty is value, and eventually you're supposed to become quieter, less desirable and less visible.

Victoria Vale completely rejected that narrative.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with adult performer and model Victoria Vale for an honest conversation about starting over later in life, aging, confidence, beauty standards, plastic surgery, sexuality, career reinvention and why women do not have an expiration date.

Long before becoming Victoria Vale, she lived two very different lives.

She began dancing while putting herself through college before eventually leaving the entertainment world, completing graduate school and building a successful corporate career in HR. For roughly two decades, she lived what she describes as a normal suburban corporate life.

But part of her never forgot the freedom and excitement she had experienced before. Years later, Victoria decided to explore that part of herself again.

What initially began as a bucket-list opportunity to model eventually became something much bigger: a complete reinvention of her life in adulthood.

Victoria opens up about returning to an appearance-driven industry at an older age, becoming comfortable in front of the camera, entering adult films later in life and discovering that getting older didn't make her less confident.

People have spent Sassee Cassee's entire life noticing what makes her different. But there is far more to her story than what people see.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with entertainer, feature dancer and content creator Sassee Cassee for an honest conversation about confidence, dating, fetishization, self-worth and learning to live without needing validation from other people.

Sassee takes us back to a childhood where her mother made the decision not to shelter her. She talks about being bullied in school, learning to defend herself, becoming a gymnast and developing the resilience that would eventually follow her into adulthood.

Then an unexpected opportunity changed everything.

After appearing on The Jerry Springer Show, Sassee began travelling, performing and eventually built a career as a touring feature dancer before joining Micro Maidens, an all-women burlesque show featuring little people.

But behind the performer is a woman who has spent much of her life navigating the difference between being seen and being objectified.

Sassee opens up about what dating is really like when you constantly have to question someone's intentions, how she separates genuine attraction from fetishization, why being attracted to a little person shouldn't be considered taboo, and the boundaries she refuses to compromise in her career.

Katie Kush: Working At A School, Modern Adult Entertainment & How To Actually Survive The Industry26 Aug 202600:57:39

Send us Fan Mail

Most people see the finished product of adult entertainment. They don't see the business decisions, long hours, rejection, boundaries, social media restrictions, relationships, mentorship, and discipline required to build a career that lasts.

This week on Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with adult performer and entrepreneur Katie Kush for a conversation about what it really takes to build a career in the modern adult entertainment industry.

Before becoming Katie Kush, she worked at a school supporting children with special needs and behavioural challenges. After a relationship ended and she found herself financially responsible for a home on her own, Katie began camming while continuing to work at the school.

Eventually, she faced a decision: continue pursuing a career she loved or take a chance on adult entertainment.

Her mother gave her one piece of advice that would shape the way she approached her career: treat it like a business.

And that's exactly what Katie did.

We talk about her transition from amateur content into professional films, why it took her more than a year to fully commit to the industry, what happened when her school discovered her adult work, and how veteran performers helped teach her how to navigate the business.

Katie also explains the massive shift she has witnessed from the traditional studio system to today's creator economy, and why she believes performers now have more control over their careers than previous generations.

This is a conversation about adult entertainment, the creator economy, consent, social media, work ethic, mentorship, confidence, burnout, and what building a sustainable career actually looks like behind the scenes.

Kayla Kleevage, The Woman Who Defined an Era: Bimbofication + 90s Beauty + Extreme Plastic Surgery. 19 Aug 202600:47:27

Send us Fan Mail

Before social media made bimbofication, extreme plastic surgery, and exaggerated beauty trends part of internet culture, women like Kayla Kleeavage were already pushing beauty standards to their limits.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with legendary adult performer and feature dancer Kayla Kleeavage to look back at the era of big hair, big glamour, and even bigger implants, and how adult entertainment, plastic surgery, beauty standards, and sexuality have changed since the 1980s and 1990s.

Kayla takes us back to the beginning of her career as a house dancer before becoming a touring feature dancer, magazine model, adult performer, and eventually the owner of her own production company.

We discuss the legendary "big boob era" of the industry, when performers including Kayla, Lisa Lipps, Pandora Peaks, and other famous bombshells helped create an exaggerated aesthetic that would eventually resemble what internet culture now calls bimbofication.

Kayla also opens up about the extraordinary lengths women went to achieve that look.

This is a conversation about adult entertainment history, extreme plastic surgery, beauty standards, confidence, aging, reinvention, and the women who helped create an aesthetic decades before social media gave it a name.

Big Girls Wanted: Stefan Wilhelmy Responds To The Pearadise Allegations | The Story You Didn't Hear12 Aug 202601:03:34

Disclosure:

Certain elements of this interview have been censored because I felt they were not relevant to the question and disrespectful to the individual being discussed.

The documentary Big Girls Wanted: Escaping Pearadise introduced viewers to a Las Vegas house known as Pearadise, a place created around the plus-size and BBW community that became the center of serious allegations involving consent, boundaries, surveillance, fetishization, and the treatment of women who visited the house.

Now, Pearadise creator Stefan Wilhelmy responds.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with Stefan Wilhelmy for a direct conversation about the allegations surrounding Pearadise and his portrayal in Big Girls Wanted: Escaping Pearadise.

This is not a declaration of innocence or guilt. It is an opportunity to question Stefan directly about what happened inside the house, hear his account, and challenge him on some of the most controversial claims raised by former visitors and in the documentary.

Stefan explains how Pearadise began as his private Las Vegas home before becoming a gathering place for members of the BBW and plus-size community. He responds to questions about who was invited into the house, whether visitors understood what they were entering, the absence of written agreements in its early years, household responsibilities, security cameras, livestreams, social media monetization, and whether women were ever expected to provide labor in exchange for staying there.

The conversation then turns to the most serious issue: consent.

I question Stefan about allegations that some women felt uncomfortable saying no, claims surrounding physical contact and photographs taken at the house, and whether extensive flirting or previous sexual conversations can ever be interpreted as consent. Stefan disputes many of the allegations made against him, provides his account of specific incidents, and explains why he believes events at Pearadise were misrepresented.

We also discuss what Stefan says he has changed since those events, including clearer house rules, written agreements, and asking for explicit consent , even for physical contact as simple as a hug.

Whether you've watched Big Girls Wanted: Escaping Pearadise, followed the controversy surrounding Pearadise online, or are hearing about the story for the first time, this conversation offers Stefan Wilhelmy the opportunity to answer difficult questions directly.

Millions of people are told they're lazy, lack willpower, or simply need to "eat less and move more." But according to bariatric surgeon Dr. Bernie Hanna, the science tells a very different story.

Big Girls Wanted: How Big Big Cherry Survived Pearadise. | Big Girls Wanted: Escaping Pearadise08 Jul 202600:53:29

Send us Fan Mail

For years, Pearadise was promoted as a body-positive sanctuary where plus-size women could feel beautiful, desired, accepted, and finally seen. But behind the bikinis, social media videos, and messages of empowerment, many former residents have described something much more complicated.

In this episode of Ava Devine’s Bad Advice, I sit down with plus-size performer, director, and creator Big Big Cherry to talk about body positivity, BBW representation, self-worth, adult entertainment, feederism, consent, community, and the darker side of what happens when belonging becomes conditional.

Big Big Cherry opens up about her own journey as a plus-size woman in the adult industry, how representation helped her build confidence, and why seeing other women who looked like her changed the way she viewed her own body. We talk about BBW performers, plus-size sex appeal, body confidence, fetishization, and the difference between being desired privately versus being respected publicly.

We also discuss her experience with Pearadise, the community that many women were drawn to after years of feeling isolated or unseen. Cherry shares what originally attracted her to the space, the friendships she built there, the red flags she noticed, and how the promise of acceptance can sometimes make people overlook uncomfortable dynamics.

This conversation explores the fine line between body positivity and exploitation, especially when it comes to feederism, consent, social media attention, adult content, and vulnerable people searching for community. We also talk about her late friend Kass, the importance of speaking up, and why finding your own trusted circle matters more than belonging to a space that asks you to compromise yourself.

This episode is about plus-size women, BBW empowerment, adult entertainment, self-worth, consent, friendship, grief, and the human need to be accepted without being exploited.

So get cozy if you’re watching from home and turn up the volume if you’re listening. This is Ava Devine’s Bad Advice.

It is about knowing who you are, speaking up when something feels wrong, and building a trusted circle where you are loved without conditions.

Feminist Erotica Matters: Reclaiming Pleasure, Consent & Sexuality24 Jun 202600:50:31

Send us Fan Mail

What happens when adult entertainment is created through a feminist, queer, and pleasure-centred lens instead of the male gaze?

This week on Ava Devine’s Bad Advice, I sit down with Dahlia Von Knight, owner of Sinners Vault VR and co-founder of Queer Crush, two queer-inclusive adult entertainment platforms focused on ethical, authentic, and pleasure-driven erotic content.

We explore how mainstream erotica shapes expectations around sex, intimacy, consent, and connection, often prioritizing performance over genuine human experience. Dahlia breaks down why feminist and queer erotica takes a different approach by centring communication, mutual pleasure, representation, and realism.

We discuss the importance of foreplay, consent behind the scenes, why many viewers are seeking alternatives to traditional adult content, and how queer creators are challenging long-held assumptions about what sex is supposed to look like. We also talk about representation, inclusivity, body diversity, and why authentic intimacy can be far more powerful than fantasy alone.

This conversation isn't just about adult entertainment. It's about pleasure, connection, consent, and expanding the way we think about sexuality.

So get cozy if you're watching from home and turn up the volume if you're listening—this is Ava Devine’s Bad Advice.

The Psychology of Online Bullying with Therapist Ryan Wynder17 Jun 202600:58:01

Send us Fan Mail

What kind of society are we creating when cruelty becomes entertainment?

This week on Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with therapist Ryan Wynder to unpack a question that emerged after I became the target of public online ridicule, body shaming, and harassment: Why do some people build audiences by mocking, humiliating, and degrading others?

Together, we explore the psychology behind bullying, public humiliation, and internet outrage culture. Ryan breaks down concepts like dehumanization, projection, group validation, cognitive distortions, and the emotional rewards people receive from putting others down. We discuss why cruelty is often disguised as humor, how social media amplifies toxic behavior, and why online attacks can have real consequences for the people on the receiving end.

We also examine body shaming, promiscuity shaming, ageism, LGBTQ+ discrimination, toxic masculinity, parasocial relationships, and the double standards that continue to shape public conversations about women, sexuality, and adult entertainment.

Most importantly, this episode is about remembering that behind every profile, every headline, and every viral clip is a real human being with feelings, experiences, and dignity.

So get cozy if you're watching from home and turn up the volume if you're listening. This is Ava Devine's Bad Advice.

This week, I go solo to address the recent online attacks directed at me from comedians, podcasts, and strangers who seem to think body shaming, age shaming, and promiscuity shaming qualify as entertainment.

But this episode isn't about being offended by jokes. It's about drawing a line between comedy and cruelty and standing up for the people who do not have the platform or thick skin to defend themselves.

I discuss the hypocrisy of people who claim certain topics are off limits while freely mocking appearance, age, sexuality, adult entertainers, LGBTQ+ people, and anyone they believe society will defend the least. We talk about the real consequences of online bullying, why cruelty doesn't become harmless just because it's packaged as a joke, and how public humiliation affects not only the target but entire communities.

This conversation also explores society's obsession with aging women, cosmetic surgery, body count culture, and the double standards that continue to shape how women are judged for their bodies, sexuality, and profession.

Most importantly, this episode is for anyone who has ever been made to feel disposable because of their age, body, identity, profession, sexuality, or past.

You are not the joke.

So get cozy if you're watching from home and turn up the volume if you're listening. This is Ava Devine's Bad Advice.

Topics Covered:
• Online bullying and public humiliation
• Comedy vs. cruelty
• Body shaming and age shaming
• Promiscuity shaming and stigma
• Adult entertainers and public perception
• LGBTQ+ stereotypes and discrimination
• The impact of social media harassment
• Self-worth, resilience, and standing up for yourself
• Why kindness still matters

Society Consumes Adult Entertainers But Refuses To Protect Them | Summer Hart & SWAID Collective03 Jun 202600:40:43

Send us Fan Mail

Adult Entertainers are some of the most desired people in society, yet when it comes to their safety, healthcare, legal protection, and dignity, they are often treated as disposable.

In this episode of Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with therapist and SWAID Collective co-founder Summer Hart to explore the realities that adult entertainers face beyond stereotypes and stigma.

We talk about discrimination in healthcare and society, the psychological impact of shame, and why community-led organizations like SWAID are providing emergency aid, harm reduction resources, and survival support where larger systems continue to fail.

Summer shares the story behind SWAID, an adult entertainer-led organization providing emergency financial assistance, reproductive healthcare resources, harm reduction supplies, and crisis support for performers and adult entertainers across the country. We also explore the difference between morality and human rights, why empathy is often made conditional, and what a world that truly protects sex workers could look like.

So get cozy if you're watching from home and turn up the volume if you're listening. This is Ava Devine's Bad Advice.

Topics Covered:
• What SWAID is and why it was created
• The safety risks sex workers face
• Healthcare discrimination and social stigma
• Harm reduction and emergency aid
• Why sex worker-led organizations matter
• Human rights vs. morality debates
• Fan questions
• The future of sex worker advocacy and support

Adult Entertainers, Mature Women & The Myth About Who Society Says Isn’t “Relationship Material”27 May 202600:57:25

Send us Fan Mail

Today I sit down with Nikole Mitchell and Mellanie Monroe for one of the rawest conversations yet about love, sex work, aging, relationships, self-worth, and the double standards women face every day.

Nikole opens up about going viral as the “pastor turned stripper,” leaving behind religion and shame to fully embrace her sexuality, freedom, and identity. Mellanie reflects on nearly two decades in the adult industry, falling in and out of love, taking breaks from the business, and learning the hard way that compromising herself for relationships always led to resentment.

Together, they unpack the stigma surrounding adult entertainers and mature women, from being desired privately but judged publicly, to the reality of dating while working in the adult industry. The conversation explores jealousy, honesty, emotional maturity, age-gap relationships, and the difference between real intimacy and transactional sex.

They also discuss:
• Why many men secretly admire adult entertainers but publicly shame them
• The emotional labor and communication required in healthy relationships
• Dating younger vs older partners
• Why adult entertainers are often safer and more communicative than civilians
• How society links sex work with infidelity
• The truth about aging, desirability, and confidence
• Why sex workers are often portrayed as “damaged” in media
• Learning to stop apologizing for who you are
• Falling in love with yourself first before seeking validation from others

This episode is funny, emotional, vulnerable, empowering, and deeply honest. Whether you agree with every perspective or not, this conversation challenges stereotypes and opens the door to a more human understanding of sexuality, relationships, aging, and identity.

Body Dysmorphia, Plastic Surgery & The Search for Self-worth with Kimber James20 May 202600:46:13

Send us Fan Mail

Today, I sit down with Kimber James for a deeply honest conversation about body dysmorphia, plastic surgery, identity, self-image, and the lifelong search to feel comfortable in your own skin. From growing up feeling disconnected from her body and being relentlessly bullied as a child, to navigating transition, fame, beauty standards, and the pressures of the adult industry, Kimber opens up about the emotional complexity behind transformation, self-expression, and the need to feel accepted.

Kimber reflects on childhood bullying, gender identity, eating disorders, dysmorphia, and the pressure to conform to impossible standards of beauty. Together, we unpack the emotional reality behind cosmetic surgery, the shame society places on women and trans women for altering their appearance, and the painful truth that changing the outside does not always heal what is happening internally. What looks glamorous or empowering from the outside can often come from a much deeper place of insecurity, survival, loneliness, or the need for control.

As the conversation unfolds, Kimber speaks candidly about transitioning in the adult industry, living through botched surgeries and medical complications, appearing on *Botched*, addiction to change, social media pressures, relationships, and the exhausting cycle of constantly trying to “fix” yourself. We also explore self-worth, aging, healing, internal validation, and the difficult process of learning how to sit with yourself in a world that profits from making people feel inadequate.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
How Body Dysmorphia Begins in Childhood
How Bullying and Shame Impact Identity and Self-Worth
How Beauty Standards Shape the Way We See Ourselves
How Plastic Surgery Can Become an Emotional Coping Mechanism
How Transitioning in the Adult Industry Creates Unique Pressures
How Social Media Intensifies Comparison and Dissatisfaction
How Cosmetic Surgery Can Shift From Enhancement to Obsession
How Health Complications Change Your Relationship With Your Body
How Trauma, Relationships, and Insecurity Affect Self-Image
How Self-Acceptance Is a Lifelong Process, Not a Destination

If there’s one thing to take away from this episode, it’s this: changing your appearance may temporarily change how you feel, but it will never fully heal the parts of yourself that feel unloved, unseen, or unworthy. Real healing begins internally.

Sending you all so much love,
Ava Devine

Will Money, Beauty & Attention Make You Happy? Kieta Kieta Has the Answers.13 May 202600:57:54

Send us Fan Mail

Today, I sit down with Keita Kieta, former 90s supermodel and actress, for a raw conversation about the hidden loneliness behind beauty, fame, addiction, and validation. From modeling for Elite and appearing in magazines like *Vanity Fair* and *Seventeen*, to partying in Hollywood, navigating toxic industry culture, and eventually spiraling into addiction and sex work, Keita opens up about the emotional emptiness that success could never fill.

Keita reflects on growing up in an industry where drugs, alcohol, perfectionism, and exploitation were normalized, and how chasing external validation slowly disconnected her from herself. What looked glamorous from the outside often felt isolating internally. Keita details the emotional cost of constantly performing an image, the pressure women face to stay desirable, and how loneliness can exist even in rooms full of celebrities, wealth, and attention.

As the conversation unfolds, Keita shares how sobriety, yoga, spirituality, and authentic connection helped rebuild her life from the inside out. Together, we speak candidly about aging, identity, depression, self-worth, body image, the reality of healing, and learning to let go of the belief that money, beauty, or fame can save us. What emerges is a conversation not just about addiction and recovery, but about learning how to come home to yourself.

In this episode, you’ll learn:
How Fame and Beauty Can Intensify Loneliness
How Addiction Becomes a Way to Escape Emotional Pain
How External Validation Disconnects Us From Ourselves
How the Modeling and Entertainment Industries Normalize Self-Destruction
How Sobriety Changes Your Identity and Relationships
How Spirituality and Yoga Help Rebuild Self-Worth
How to Stop Chasing Perfection and Practice Self-Acceptance
How Real Healing Begins Through Honesty, Support, and Connection

If there’s one thing to take away from this episode, it’s this: no matter how far you think you’ve fallen, there is always a way back. Healing doesn’t come from becoming more beautiful, successful, or desired; it comes from reconnecting with yourself, finding support, and learning that your worth was never dependent on the image you were trying to maintain.

Ava Devine

From Gang Life to Reinvention with Joseph Martinez06 May 202601:09:44

Send us Fan Mail

Today on Ava Devine's Bad Advice, I sit down with Joseph Martinez to explore a powerful truth: you are not destined to become the environment you were raised in.

In our conversation, Joseph opens up about growing up surrounded by gangs, violence, and survival-driven thinking, and how that world quietly shaped his identity before he realized it. From having a father serving a life sentence to inheriting “street beef” instead of opportunity, his story reveals what it really means to be raised in a system where certain paths feel inevitable.

But this episode isn’t just about where he came from; it’s about what it takes to break away. Joseph shares the internal conflict of wanting that lifestyle, the influence of the people he looked up to, and the moments that slowly planted a different vision for his life. From a cousin who challenged his mindset, to becoming a young father, to confronting his own behaviors later in life, this conversation unpacks how change actually happens. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But through awareness, willingness, and the decision to want something more.

In this episode, you'll learn:
How Your Environment Shapes You And How to Break Free From It
Why Leaving a Negative Lifestyle Is Harder Than It Looks
How Small Moments Can Change the Direction of Your Life
How to Turn Survival Instincts Into Strength in the Real World
How to Control Your Emotions Instead of Letting Them Control You
How to Redefine Masculinity in a Healthy Way
How to Build a New Identity Without Losing Yourself
How to Let Go of the Need for Approval From the Wrong People
How to Channel “Hustle Mentality” Into Something Positive
How to Move From Just Surviving to Actually Thriving

If there’s one thing I want you to hold onto, it’s this: where you start does not have to be where you stay. Change doesn’t come from pretending your past didn’t happen, it comes from learning how to use it differently.

I hope you love watching this episode as much as I did filming it.
